good lord, if nifong did this much damage with partial attention just think what he would have done if he had total focus on the case!
obviously he has an axe to grind with “rich white boys”. i’d just like to hear a proper apology for putting these families of the accused through hell.
the unfortunate part is that the accuser should be sued for false accusations. nifong never should have allowed the situation to get this far.
I do not think it was an axe to grind with any one specific person … it was just a vehicle that he used for political gain. Politicians have no conscience when it comes to re-election.
Trust me there is much wrong with what goes on in college campuses and the things that athletes get away with and what is swept under the rug … all in the name of the program.
These kids at Duke were infamous for trouble, thus the reason why so many believed they were guilty and their coach quit.
That being said, the DA should have looked into every aspect of this case and should never determine or predetermine guilt. That is his job. If he can’t do his job correctly, then maybe he should not have it at all.

This would be funny, but……..
#2- Trust you? You know the boys on the lacrosse team? Or are you just like all the other people who assume that white athletes who go to good schools are guilty? You obviously haven’t stayed on top of the case because they were not infamous for trouble and their coach didn’t “quit.” Maybe you should follow the story before giving your opinion.
