Scared Monkeys Wishes KWCH Reporter Alana Rocha a Quick & Safe Recovery … Get Well Soon

Scared Monkeys recently attended the Texas EquuSearch Appreciation Day in Alana RochaArkansas City, KS with Tim Miller in conjunction with the search efforts for Jodi Sanderholm. During the fund raising event we had an opportunity to meet friends, family, law enforcement and members of the media. One of the TV Reporters was Alana Rocha who I spent time with discussing media coverage of missing person cases and the delicate nature and respect that is required.

It came as a shock to me today to learn that Alana Rocha was in a terrible accident Saturday morning. Alana Rocha remains in intensive care in critical condition after being hit by a presumed drunk driver.

KWCH 12 reporter Alana Rocha remains in intensive care at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in critical condition  As of Tuesday morning, she remains heavily sedated as doctors perform tests.

She was seriously hurt in an accident Saturday morning at First and Hydraulic.  Wichita Police say they believe the driver that crashed into her car was drunk.

Police say the man was going between 60 and 70 miles per hour when he ran three red lights.  He clipped one car when crossing Douglas before hitting the passenger side of Alana’s car.

“He’d already almost caused one accident,” says Captain John Speer.  “We’re blocks behind him and he’s still hitting cars at Douglas and goes on to First Street.”

Alana suffered serious internal injuries and is still in intensive care as of Monday evening. (KBSD)

Alana Rocha is in our thoughts and prayers. Please get well soon. If you wish to leave wishes you can do so here and we will forward them or go HERE and leave them. Show Alana and her family and friends the appreciation that Scared Monkeys readers have for the media who do a great job with Missing Persons stories.

Alana … Get well soon. We are all praying for you.

TB or not TB: TB Story now Claimed to Be Made Up … Tourism at All Cost? … Big People Lie

Credibility is tough to regain. Initially Bon Dia Aruba broke the TBC story that a manTB had been infected and initially deported. Then yesterday Amigoe ran with the story as well that a man had been infected with TB last Saturday at Horacio Oduber Hospital. Now suddenly there was no TB infected individual and the story is claimed to be made up. Its a terrible thing when credibility is lost and as the Kalpoe’s mother said, “big people lie”. When one has a track record to cover up and avoid bad stories at all cost that might affect tourism there is a doubt placed in peoples minds as to agendas. Why would Bon Dia lie or make up such a claim?

ORANJESTAD – Amigoe reported in his edition of last Saturday that tbc-infection was detected in a man that has been straying illegally for quite some time in Aruba already.  Amigoe got this article from Bon Dia.  Spokesperson of Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH), Bob Harms indicated this morning that the complete story is a concoction.

Another Inconvenient Truth for Al Gore … Gore TN Mansion uses 20x’s Energy Consumption vs. the Average Commoner

HYPOCRITE ALERT

Hey Al … Maybe you might want to stop global warming by taking care of your own Hypocritehouse first? As Al Gore lived up the “rock star” status in Hollywood last night telling us what to do, his own home burned more energy vacant than ours could ever have consumed. What an example to set for the global warming community. But I guess Al Gore is special and gets a “green” pass.

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization committed to achieving a freer, more prosperous Tennessee through free market policy solutions, issued a press release late Monday: Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy. Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES). (Al Gore brings a copy of his energy bill to the Oscars )

Last night while  hob-knobbing with the beautiful people at the Oscars Al Gore made the following comment:

“We have everything we need to get started with the possible exception of the will to act. That’s a renewable resource. Let’s renew it.”

Maybe you might want to find the will to act yourself Al??? Unbelievable, you hypocrite. I guess this might be considered an inconvenient truth for Al Gore as well.

“As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk to walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.

A terrific rant at Stop the ACLU. As Instapundit states, “It’s an Inconvenient Utility Bill“. Let us know forget fellow Democrat John Edward’s fuel efficient 28K sq. ft home. Sister Toldjah … “he, well, doesn’t practice what he preaches”
