Liz Carroll Sentenced to Life for Murder of Marcus Fiesel

Liz Carroll who yesterday found guilty in the death of her foster child Marcus Fiesel was today sentenced to life in prison.

BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) A woman was sentenced Thursday to life in prison with parole for killing her 3-year-old developmentally disabled foster son by binding him in blankets and tape and leaving him inside a closet for a weekend.

A day earlier, jurors convicted Liz Carroll, 30, of murder and other charges. Under the life sentence for murder, she has no possibility for parole for 15 years. Some of the other sentences must be served consecutively.

Judge Robert Ringland told Carroll that no matter how much she blamed other people, she had to accept responsibility. He also said she hadn’t seemed sorry for the boy’s death.

If she’s not sorry now, she’ll never be sorry. Besides, being sorry is not going to bring Marcus back. It will be interesting to see what punishment will be handed down on her husband. People, usually, don’t take too kindly to having men recieve a slap on the wrist.

Let’s see if we detect a double standard….

Oh believe me, that witch is sorry. She’s sorry she got caught, tried and convicted. She’ll be even sorrier when other inmates get their hands on her.

Guess I just haven’t learned how to read … seems to me it should say, Under the life sentence for murder, you will die in jail.
