Internet Relationship and Lies Turn Deadly for Brian Barrett

He was an 18-year-old Marine headed to war. She was an attractive young woman sending him off with pictures and lingerie. Or so each one thought.

Dating

All is not what it seems on the internet, it seldom is when conversations take place on the world wide web.

In reality, they were two middle-aged people carrying on an Internet fantasy based on seemingly harmless lies.

When a truthful 22-year-old was drawn in, authorities say, their cyber escape turned deadly.

This bizarre story turned deadly … read the full story.

“When you’re on the Internet talking, you haven’t got a clue who that is on the other end,” Erie County Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Kenyon said. “You don’t have a clue.”

That graphic made me laugh so
hard, I think I pulled something
      I might need later.

Look at the legs on that one with
the friggin bunny slippers. ha ha

It is so true to life,
      it is hysterical.

LOOOOOOOOVED the bunny slippers. I also have bunny slippers, but refrain from chat rooms – too many pervs. However, some people fall for this chat stuff hook line and sinker. How very stupid are they? It gets down right scarey at times, when I think of people I knew who made dates and told people their most intimate life details while on a chat room. This ain’t the JETSONS where one can see who they are talking too. Posts and chats are ok – if you don’t get too serious over it. I feel sad for those who just don’t have a life and try to find one on line.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe how limitless the capacity for foolishness some people have until you read a news story like that. What screwball web of deceit and lies that relationship was!

Stupid is and stupid does. BTW do I get royalties from SM using my likliness in their cartoon spoofs?

Yes ladies, I all the man pictured and more…….ha, ha

It was funny and when you read the “balloon caption” one cannot help bu think of the late Chris Farley and the SNL chippendale sketch he did with Patrick Swazey.

      By the way, I’m a colonel, if anyone’s interested….(please stop me…somebody, anybody….)

      I love the Chippendale skit!

How stupid would this woman have felt if the man was a 47 year pervert who came and raped her daughter after she sent the pictures with her address. Nice parents.

Carpe, -Very good, laughed out loud. The skit is hilarious and your post with Chris putting on his bump and grind was too.

Mike-Touche! I get the Internet and chatting and dating and make believe, but don’t people realize to take the INTERNET with a grain of salt? You dont’ win the lottery, Nigerian or otherwise on the Internet, you don’t have hitmen contact you on the INTERNET. Hunky marines and beautiful babes are not sitting around trying to contact you on the INTERNET. And finally Al Gore did not INVENT the INTERNET.

Sheesh, stupid is and stupid does.

      Rock on Chris Farley!

I play trivia online sometimes and we all joke with each other in fun. You just have to recognize the internet for what it is. How can anyone be in love with someone they met on the internet if they have never met them, talked on the phone with them or spent any time with them? It’s no different offline. Predators everywhere.

      That picture is the most!!!

Notice I haven’t been posting as much lately?

      Reality Check…

      testing, testing, one, two, three….

      (Gee…. I wonder who I’m talking to?)

      .

I’ll bet she thought, maybe he’d fall in love with her personality and wouldn’t care that she was nearly twice her age…

If she REALLY cared about the first one, she would have told him the truth, right then and there.

      ***Wicked Woman***

      Correction – 101

      I’ll bet she thought,

“Maybe he’ll fall in love with me and it won’t matter that I’m over twice his age. At least, he’s not 14! I can’t believe women these days. Besides, I just like them for their personalities~~~~~”

Men in their prime… so much fun!

I see some of the things that boys that age write to girls and it’s not all that interesting. Like I said, she needs to grow up!

As for him, well, it’s too late for him.
