Joel Steinberg, NYC Child Killer Ordered to Pay $15 million to birth mother of Lisa Steinberg in Wrongful Death Suit

Remember this monster? After serving 17 years in prison for the death of 6 year old Lisa Steinberg, disbarred attorney Joel Steinbergand child killer Joel Steinberg was ordered to pay the birth mother $15 million in a wrongful death suit.

NEW YORK (AP) — Joel Steinberg, the disbarred lawyer who served 17 years in prison for killing his illegally adopted daughter, must pay $15 million to the girl’s birth mother, an appeals court ruled Tuesday.

The appeals court affirmed a lower court decision to award Michele Launders $5 million for 6-year-old Lisa Steinberg’s pain and suffering, $5 million for pain and suffering “as a battered child” and $5 million in punitive damages.

This piece of human debris actually argued in court that the dollar amount was excessive because Lisa Steinberg did not suffer long, “only 8 hours or so”.  No words can describe the lack of conscience and evil that is in this man who would use such a defense for a man who murdered this innocent child.Lisa_steinberg

Joel Steinberg argued the award was excessive and should be reduced because Lisa died relatively quickly, after “at most eight hours of pain and suffering.”

“We disagree, and in simply so stating acknowledge that sometimes words fail even those who use the language to render judgments on a daily basis,” the court wrote.

This piece of crap should have been hung a long time ago. It’s a shame and an insult to humans everywhere that he is even allowed to take up air space. I’m surprised he has survived this long in jail. Must be in protective custody. Too bad his family couldn’t have been protected against HIM.

What do you expect from a monster that killed a child, REMORSE. I have come to the conclusion, that we indeed expect too much from such monsters that live without the ability to care. You dog has that ability, these monsters do not. Look at Joel’s eyes, these murders seem to have a similiar trait, evil, evil, eyes. I wonder how he would feel if he was given a short time to suffer, say like 8 hours. Look at the hulabulu, when lethal injection takes more that a few minutes. What a creep. RIH

What a sick monster. Someone should have just shot this piece of human waste…he made me sick then and he does now… satan exists and its in forms such as this sack of s—.why is it that evil survives???? send him to LIERUBA where the rest of satans demons live.

It is said that evil exists only in the minds of mankind.

They also say that the heart can be treacherous,
that it can lead us astray.

I suppose both are true, but I have also heard that we
      are our brothers’ keepers.

When are we ever going to learn that the things that we are tolerant of, will soon define us? We are not Gods. We did not create ourselves, but we know what causes these responses in the minds of men. Some call it art while others call it garbage, but we all know that it is wrong.

As long as X – XXXX rated movies are permitted, we will suffer the consequences… even the innocent children that have not even been given their chance to make a difference in this world are silenced.

They argue about eight hours of suffering… while many of us have suffered for a lifetime. Throw the book at them, we all say… but what about the next one?

Are we to throw our money into an industry that causes the human condition to suffer, and then, expect our government to throw our money at fixing it as well? Besides, how is throwing a man in jail fixing anything when it is only a matter of time before the next one strikes?

We talk about being responsible. We have a responsibility to our children, we have a responsibility to our government and we have a responsibility to our God. We, also, have a responsibility to eachother, one to another. We call them monsters, but the reality is that they are men… men consumed in their thoughts… their minds feeding on the things that we, as a society, give them to grow… violence!

Stop the violence against women, and you will stop the violence against their children, as well…

I still can’t believe they ever let this guy out anyway. What that poor child lived through can never be replaced by all the money in the world.

He should have appealed in Vermont. The Vermont Judges and
Legislature would have given him 2 days probation and a new
Mercedes Benz. Also they would have given him a Vermont
Lawyers license to practice there. If you are a killer or a
pedophile, move to Vermont and enjoy the good life.

Well, this will keep him poor. I hope.
Unless he does an OJ and writes a book.
What a Piece Of Crap this guy is. And his lovely wife, Ms. Nusbaum, who also wrote a book.

My question is how in the hell did this animal ever get parole?

How do child killers ever rate parole?

Seems to me if you want to rape kids and murder people New York isn’t far behind Vermont.
