From a big Dana Fan
Best wishes to you and your family over this festive season..
I remember this story as it unfolded.
I look forward to the show as always.
Interesting and creative work by the RCMP’s. Maybe you could have an interview with one of them and he would tell us more of their techniques and training.
Mike’s book tells a story of some police officers who were determined to get the evidence they needed to put a murderer behind bars. It’s interesting how these Mounties knew what “buttons” to push to get this guy to give himself away. As discussed on the show, understanding how the criminal mind works is difficult for many of us, yet law enforcement officers deal with this every day. I hope to catch Mike’s radio show (online in the US). It’s interesting and informative the way Dana presents these stories with his guests and his commentary. I’m sure Mike’s will be interesting too.
I did email Mike as suggested and he responded.
On History TV they has a one hour on how the RCMP called out a killer by taunting him into coming out. The killer, Terry Driver is now serving life in prison. Most of the show consisted of interviews with the officers involved in that case in B.C. This Driver fellow terrorized a whole town and the RCMP lived up to their motto of always getting their man.
Contrast the level of investigative techniques used in Aruba and Gereld Dompig. And, well, there isn’t any comparison. Aruba … why are you using crayons ?
