No Surprise in Indiana or Vermont US Senate Seat … Bernie Sanders – VT (I) Wins Easily as Does Lugar – IN (R)
Bernie Sanders won the Vermont Senate seat now held by another independent, retiring Senator James Jeffords. Heaven help us … what ever happened to VT?
Dick Lugar (R) of Indiana will win easily as well and go back for a 6th term in the US Senate.

An independent won????!?!!!!!!!!!
Why that’s pure American:
(I)ngenuity for ya!!!!
I knew Dick Lugar would win, he’s been around forever and ever.
Two independents in the Senate now, I believe: Lieberman of Connecticut and Sanders.
Don’t worry … Vermont doesn’t add up to much in the political game. We have only one person in the House.
We’re so inconsequential that the thinking up here tends to be that it doesn’t much matter what we do. So we elect the outspoken oddballs, such as Sanders, who is from Brooklyn. (The traditional Vermonter was one who was here seven generations or so, but those people are few and far between these days.)
Lugar will die and Indy Senator. He’s right up there with god and Bobby Knight in any Hoosiers eyes!
