At Least He is Honest

Pedophile Kaoru Kobayashi in Japan recognizes that he is unable to be rehabilitated after being arrested for sexually assaulting and murdering a young girl in Japan. He asks for a death sentence because he knows that he has no chance on being rehabilitated.

Wouldn’t it be great if this was an option afforded the courts in this country. Let the judge ask before an expensive trial if the accused just wants to be put to death then and there.

A man under indictment for abducting, sexually assaulting and murdering a young girl has asked the judge trying his case to sentence him to death, his defense lawyer said.
Kaoru Kobayashi, 37, has sent several letters to Judge Tetsuya Okuda at the Nara District Court on June 27 and July 10, after his trial was concluded, asking that he be punished with death.
“I would like to be sentenced to death,” the letters partly read. “I have no confidence in being able to rehabilitate myself.” The court subsequently sent the letters back to his lawyer Yoshio Takano.
“I suppose he believes he has no choice but to atone for his crimes with his own life. A chaplain at the detention center where he is confined chants a sutra for him every day,” said Takano.
Kobayashi also sent a letter to a magazine editor on Aug. 1, apologizing to the victim’s bereaved family.

Osama bin Laden Reported Dead … We have heard this before … Dead, Ill or a Flesh Wound?

It is being reported that Osama bin Laden died of of typhoid in Pakistan on August 23, according to a Saudi intelligence source. However, there has been no confirmation and we have certainly heard this story before. So is he dead, ill or just have a flesh wound. It may be wishful thinking to believe the initial reports. VIDEO

The Saudi intelligence source told CNN‘s Nic Robertson that there have been credible Osamabinladenreports for the past several weeks that bin Laden is ill, but there has been no word of his death. The questions came in response to the publication of a report in the French regional newspaper L’Est Republicain on Saturday. The article cited a French foreign intelligence document dated September 21 in which a source said the Saudis had received confirmation that bin Laden died of typhoid in Pakistan on August 23. (CNN)

However, more credible and fantastic news is reported by Rusty at My Pet Jawa, the leader of Ansar al Sunnah, Muntasir al-Jibouri, has been captured! Get the full story there.

We should be shouting for joy that the leader of Ansar al Sunnah has been captured. This should just as big as when we got Zarqawi. It is that important.

There is that infamous finger pointing again. Where do we remember that from? By the way, trying or say you tried, is not good enough.

Former President Bill Clinton Now …

‘At least I tried. That’s the difference between me and some, including all the right wingers who are attacking me now. They ridicule me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try. I tried. So I tried and failed’.

Former President Bill Clinton then …

A Fond Farewell to the F-14 TOMCAT … Made famous to all in the Movie “TOP GUN”

Furiously fast, deafeningly loud and lethal to enemy aircraft, the Tomcat had attained legendary status by the 1980s. The 1986 film Top Gun, in which Tom Cruise portrayed an F-14 pilot in training, cemented the supersonic warplane’s reputation in the popular culture. (USA Today)
