Anna Nicole Smith to Have Second Autopsy on Son, Daniel Smith

The story continues to get stranger and stranger. It appears that Anna Nicole Smith has been given permission to have a second private pathologist to perform an independent autopsy on Daniel Smith. It was earlier reported that the autopsy performed by the Bahamas was to be released today. However, even prior to any autopsy finding, Anna Nicole Smith has requested that a second one be performed.

The results of Daniel Smith’s autopsy have yet to be released, but Anna Nicole Smith is already calling for a do-over.

The Bahamian coroner’s office has authorized the former reality star to bring in a private pathologist to perform a second autopsy on her 20-year-old son, who died suddenly last Sunday.

MEP Cannibalizing their Own … Think They are Feeling the Pressure in Aruba?

MEP, cant we all just get along? Looks like the MEP Party is feeling the pressure of the tourism crunch and the criticism from the other Parties in government of their handling of affairs in Aruba. Now they are starting to lash out at their own. Isn’t this to be expected when one does not handle matters on their watch, then they usually  go after their own as the pressure mounts and the walls close in.

Amigoe; 9/15/06: MEP Criticizes Its Own

ARUBA — “It is unacceptable that three ministers were not present at the opening of the Parliament year.   That proves lack of respect for Parliament and the Aruban nation”, said Ady Thijsen, parliamentary party leader of the MEP in parliament.  The chairwoman of Parliament, Mervin Wyatt-Ras apologized last Tuesday during the opening of the new parliamentary year, for the absence of Minister Marisol Tromp of Education, Social Affairs, and Infrastructure; Justice-minister Rudy Croes; and Minister Nilo Swaen of Finance and Economic Affairs.   She didn’t say what the reason was for their absence.  Ã‚

Have You Seen the Price of Gas Lately? Oil Consumption Down for First Half of 2006

Everyone was screaming when they saw gasoline prices escalate over the $3.00 a gallon mark. There was talk that they would go to $4.00. Of course this was never reported as a supply and demand issue, but more of a political one. Then a funny thing happened on the way to the gas pumps. Gas prices began to fall.

O’Connor says $2 gasoline “is more likely than unlikely” if the Gulf of Mexico isn’t hit by hurricanes and if there isn’t a flare-up of tensions in oil-producing regions.

According to OPEC, World oil demand growth was weaker than expected in the first half of 2006. In some places like Iowa, the price of gas has actually come down under $2.00 a gallon. Gas prices in Missouri at $1.85 a gallon. Consumer confidence Skyrockets on lower gas prices.

The RBC Cash Index, based on the results of the international polling firm Ipsos, showed confidence rebounding to 93.7 in early September. That marked an improvement from August, when consumer confidence sank to a three-month low of 74.8.

OK, now that gas prices have lowered, can we please develop an energy policy in this country while we are not in a crisis. Can we stop our dependence on foreign oil and look to our own back yard as well as create alternative methods.

UPDATE: 9/18/06 – Gasoline price down 12 cts/gallon to $2.50: govt

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The freefall in U.S. gasoline prices continued as the average pump price dropped 12 cents over the last week to $2.50 a gallon, the government said on Monday.

The fall comes on the heels of an 11-cent drop the previous week.

The national price for regular unleaded gasoline is down 29 cents from a year ago and the lowest since late March, according to the federal Energy Information Administration’s weekly survey of service stations.

The average pump price has now fallen 50 cents in the last month as U.S. crude oil futures prices plummeted from their high of $78.40 a barrel in July to settle at $63.80 a barrel on Monday.

Duane “Dog” Chapman, Bounty Hunter Arrested and Faces Extradition to Mexico

Rita Cosby of MSNBC has reported that Duane Dog Chapman and two members of his bounty hunting team (one being his son, Tim & Leland Chapman) have been arrested by US officials. The arrest in in connection with the three year old case of “The Dog” going to Mexico and retrieving Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster. The Mexican authorities want them extradited. This is just absolutely insane. This is just plain wrong.

Duane Dog Chapman being arrested in Hawaii  on kidnapping charges. Isn’t that priceless coming out of Mexico where they make kidnapping for profit a cottage industry.

As many as 4,000 ‘express’ kidnappings occur in Mexico each year. Passengers in unlicensed taxis are driven to ATMs and forced to withdraw money.

Being arrested in US  and extradited  for kidnapping a rapist scumbag  three years later  … nice job Mexico. Nothing political about this is there?

VIDEO

Cosby is reporting that Mexican government officials wanted the three men sent back there in relation to a three-year-old case.

In 2003, Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapman’s were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico.
