Anna Nicole Son’s Second Autopsy Performed by Cyril Wecht Inconclusive
Seems that the second autopsy performed on Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel Smith, was inconclusive and unable to determine a cause of death.
The 75-year-old pathologist said that his examination on Sunday indicated there was no sign of heart disease, stroke, cancer, systemic infection, pulmonary embolism or “congenital anomaly.” “I think that we have a tragic death of a young man, and ultimately the cause is going to be determined,” Wecht said.
Cyril Wecht did state that traces of anti-depressants were found in Daniel Smith’s system; however, the dosage was low.
Wecht told the Associated Press that Daniel had begun taking the medication to treat depression that “had to do with a girlfriend” four to six weeks prior to his passing. The pathologist stressed, however, that the dosage was “quite low” and that there was no evidence of a “suicidal overdose.” (Yahoo News)
The inconclusive results of the second autopsy provide further speculation and mystery into the death of Daniel Smith. More tests will be ordered, however, it may be months before results come back.
Anna Nicole Smith’s dead son on anti- depressants: report
A second autopsy on the son of celebrity Anna Nicole Smith did not reveal any conclusive reason for his death, but did note the presence of prescription antidepressants in his body, according to E! News on Monday. Forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht, who was hired by the family, said he did not know whether the medication played any role in the death of Daniel Smith, but stated that there was no evidence that he died from a “suicidal overdose.” (Raw Story)
Anna Nicole Smith’s Son’s Death Not Homicide or Suicide
Two autopsies — one by the Bahamas coroner’s office, another by celebrity pathologist Cyril Wecht — have ruled out suicide, foul play and several potential natural causes.
“It is possible we might be dealing with one of those tragic and cumulative and drug-related deaths where somebody inadvertently takes two or three different kinds of drugs, each of which has a central nervous system effect,” he said Monday night on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” (Fox News)
More From One Happy Island Aruba … Bouncer Beats up Tourist Who has to be Taken to Hospital
Looks like some more nice treatment of tourists in Aruba. From Diario,
Trahando como bouncer na un club nocturno den tempo liber….EMPLEADO DI GOBIERNO DETENI PA MALTRATO SERIO RIBA TURISTA. (Diario 9/18/06)
We don’t remember reading about this recreation that one could have on Aruba in the travel brochures. Funny, don’t remember reading about a visit to the hospital after being beat up by a bouncer as one of the things to do while in Aruba. Let’s hope it was no one that came to Aruba aboard the maiden voyage of JetBlue.
Aruba, you are one event away from losing all tourism … this was close … We do not yet know the nationality of the tourist.
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE ARRESTED FOR SERIOUS MISTREATMENT OF A TOURIST
ORANJESTAD(AAN) A public worker that in his spare time works at a night club is now under arrest for heavy battery against a tourist who had to be taken to a hospital after the beating.
The public employee goes by the last name F. Contrary to Holland, where an Aruban died as a result of mistreatment by various bouncers, this one in Aruba is under arrest for the act that he committed.
What happened exactly we do not know, but the public employee is in prison and will probably lose his job. It seems that the tourist had to be interned in the hospital for the beating that he received.
Detectives on this case arrested the suspect while the tourist has already left for his country.
Talk about “IRRESPONSIBILITY” in advertizing? Energy Drink, Cocaine
What good reason can there be in naming a drink, Cocaine? How irresponsible can anyone be? It does not contain anything illegal, but how could anyone promote a product with the name cocaine to the younger crowd? Candy cigarettes went by the wayside because it was deemed irresponsible, the promotion of a drink by the name “cocaine” is thought to be in anyone’s best interest?
What a marketing ploy. Promoting energy drinks to the club scene. Talk about trivializing a real problem. What’s next a candy bar called, “oxycontin” or an herbal tea called “heroin”?
“The drink is meant to have fun with it”.
VIDEO of owner of company spinning his nonsense, have to see it to believe.
This new energy drink is 350% stronger than Red Bull. They want to educate people … yea right. Their market research is based on NYC and LA. Sounds like main stream America to me. (MSNBC)
UPDATE: 9/21/06, ‘Cocaine’ drink claims to be real thing
Exactly what part about glorifying drugs to make money doesn’t Las Vegas-based drinks company Redux Beverages get?
Anti-drug campaigners today attacked the makers of a soft drink who have called their product cocaine.
The high-energy drink is being billed as a “legal alternative” to the class A drug, using a massive hit of caffeine instead of cocaine.
Its maker claims the title is “a bit of fun” but critics slammed the technique as a cynical ploy which could tempt young people into using drugs.

Discount Airliner Jet Blue Flies to Aruba … Hardly the Big Spenders Aruba Was Looking For
The first Jet Blue plane flew from New York to Aruba yesterday to the festive reception of water cannons. Lets just hope the passengers on board were told what was going on and did not think their plane was on fire.
We hardly think that the 156 leather JetBlue seats are going to make up for the KLM reducing the size and frequency of airplanes traveling to Aruba. All this will attract is a bargain basement price for those who wish to put price over principle.
Let’s remember what the AHATA and government stated that their goal was for Aruabn tourism … “Not only does the AVP want to reverse the trend, but wants to work with a new plan for tourism towards a restructuring from quantity to quality.” Exactly how does contracting with a discount airline get one quality? All it would appear to do is get those that would already go to Aruba there for a cheaper fare. Tourism based on price alone does not increase tourism, it shifts it from one pocket to another.
The addition of Jet Blue is not going to fix the “Monkey Wrench” in the Aruban tourism.
