President Clinton … Being asked about your Administration’s Policies is hardly a trick Question

YOU TRICKED ME … aka … I only agreed to a softball interview, you mean this wasn’t CNN?

Chris Wallace innocently triggered a hailstorm of upset from our former President. Clinton’s ‘Legacy’ definitely has a few holes in it (no pun intended) that are subject to the scrutiny of honest analysis. As in the case of Aruba, anything less than the truth will remain painful.

It all started out with a valid question regarding one administrations policies on getting Osama Bin Ladin and turned into the fire-storm that exists today. Some how such question about the most important question of our time, terrorism, becomes a “gotcha” interview. I think thou dost protest too much.

A Time line of events:

First Chris Wallace asks the now famous trick question heard around the world.

Hillary Clinton defends her husband’s anti-terror policies.

Anne Coulter puts in her jabs, “I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT NOMAD, OSAMA BIN LADEN”

White House Press Secretary Tony Snow makes a rather valid argument that  I presume ex-President Clinton will deny. Let’s just remember what was inherited and what the situation really was in 2000. Military and intelligence budgets had been slashed and a “.com” economic bubble had just burst. Do we really want to go back and relive the disarray that was dealing with the post-Clinton administration and its aftermath? Does anyone really not think that all the plans and preparations into 9–11 did not occur in the years leading up to it? Why did Bin Laden think he could pull it off? Maybe because there was no reaction to the initial World Trade Center bombing.

White House press secretary Tony Snow told reporters that Clinton spent his presidency “dramatically” slashing military and intelligence assets that are vital to fighting global terrorism.

“Even with the buildup since September 11th, we are only now beginning to achieve the same sort of levels that we had — in terms of intelligence assets — that we had at the beginning of the Clinton administration,” Snow said. (Examiner)

One thing is for certain. Clinton making the discussion be about terrorism is not helping the Democratic party some 40 days out of an election. Democrats will never win the debate n terrorism.

Somebody refresh my memory: has Chris Wallace (or, for that matter, anybody at Fox-News) asked Bush why he let Bin Ladin get away from Tora-Bora when he had the chance to capture him?

      Fair and balanced my arse.

Last time I checked this was a Clinton interview … you don’t answer a question with a whining response “well, you didn’t ask the other guy”.

Clinton then took his toys and went home. What happened to that smooth talker? Think we found the topic that gives Bill Clinton, his Howard Dean moment. ;)

Apparently Clinton has a hard time understanding questions, et cetera………I mean…HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT SEX IS???? Come on…get with it Mr. ex-President (penis nose)

Hey insiders say Clinton’s aid wanted to stop the interview as they saw their man exploding.

My gut tells me this was partly staged. Bubba don’t take a dump without a reason boys and girls.

Other word is that Bubba has had along feud with ABC, going back to some fallout between him and the late Peter Jennings.
Bubba wasn’t happy with the ABC movie of the week verson protraying his presidency weak (first bombing 1993) on Terrorism.

Bubba isn’t running for office, so he can rant and rave and give Hillary a platform to get back into the game with the DEMS. Hillary isn’t popular with the home base with regards to Terrorism. This allows her to say, My daddy (Bubba) spanked the arses of those terrorists, see how mad he still gets!

Anyway, if Bubba had shown more fire like that while in office, we may not have had 1993 bombing, the embassy bombings, the cole bombing.

Find it a little hypocritical of Bubba to say Bush had 8 months. 1993 to 2000 is seven years that Bubba had.

For all their huffing and puffing out there, fact is Osama Bin Laden has beaten the USA, political parties notwithstanding.

Perhaps a cleverly placed bomb would get everyone’s attention.

Way back in the day, Harry “the buck stops with me” S Truman got tired of suicide bombers call Kamikaze bombers. (Yes boys and girls Kamikaze is not just a drink along the Gulf coast)

When he laid a couple of cleverly placed bombs, the Japanese Kamikazes, and their army, navy and whatever they had left decided that SUICIDES bombers were not the answer and now are our best friends. Maybe the fanactics of the mideast should take a history lesson.

All Bubba did was up the stakes for the next American president, regardless of party to do MORE against the terroritst. People are getting tired. Soon little ole ladies and nuns will be screaming to bomb someone.

Actually, Julie #7, our comments aren’t any more inappropriate than what “your president” did while in office! :O Proud Republican. Thank you.

      Julie,

I see you are a typical socialist-liberal. Is it OK to talk about religion at church? Should we let the kids in our schools take government classes? OMG!! They may have to talk about it. OH..I KNOW>>>the teachers MUST tell them NOT to talk about politics outside of class (might offend a socialist..I mean LIB).

I thought we had freedom of speach in America. Did I miss something?

Know what? SM IS A PUBLIC FORUM!! GO DRINK SOME WARM MILK WITH YOUR “FRIENDS” AND TALK ABOUT “NICE” SUBJECTS YOU CAN HANDLS LIKE PAINTING YOUR NAILS. Good Lord….(can I say that, or is it too religious for you?)

You are the type of person the REAL Americans are fighting when it comes time to taking our country back. YOU are the ememy within….

Mr. Clinton should take cues from the classiest of former Presidents. Don’t bring up inefficienies of the acting President unless you want everyone else to bring out the weaknesses in your reign. Called FINGER POINTING

I saw the interview too, finger wagging and face turning purple and eye buggin.. LOL

But we know this is all about Hillary…(I am not a stand by my man kinda women)

    11. Brenda T. on September 29th, 2006 7:23 am

      Ms. UE,

I think it’s ok to stand by your man when they are worthy, but Hillary certainly is not worthy of Willy’s support….is she?!

      B ;>)

      Brenda T

Birds of a feather…. This is all about getting Hillary in office , that’s all.

But with the Monica thing Hillary sold her self out.

      BTW

      GOD BLESS AMERICA

    13. Brenda T. on September 29th, 2006 8:19 am

YES! I am at a loss to understand how she could pretend not to know anything about his sexual escapades over the years. (She mentioned that in her book.)

She knew and didn’t care. As you said..it’s all about getting hold of the Presidency, but NOT for the sake of bettering America, only themselves and their twisted adgenda.

I remember hearing her read parts of her book over a radio station. She said “it was hard to breath” when she learned about Monica. WRONG! She found it hard to breath because she realized the idiot she is married to was stupid enough to get caught and damage “their” careers.

      She’s pure socialist. Terrifiying!

      Brenda

Y’all are still missing the point. See Post #17 under Keith Olbermann.
