In-flight Internet didn’t fly on low demand.Who did they poll, People in Comas?

This is almost impossible to believe. The excuse that Boeing used to not implement internet services in the friendly skies due to a lack of demand is unimaginable. I can not actually think of one segment of the population who would not be in favor or use such a service. Old, young, business class or first class … all would want to be able to be on-line while airborne.

Maybe it was the Internet bubble in the sky, or perhaps the business plan that just couldn’t fly.

Boeing on Thursday scrapped its in- flight Internet service, saying there was insufficient demand

Florida Police Bring down Motorcycle Theft Ring that smuggled bikes to the Caribbean

Police in South Florida have arrested members of a motorcycle theft ring that would smuggle the stolen motorcycles to the Caribbean. Motorcycles and the Caribbean, what incident does that remind us of? Why does the story of the death of Robert Wayne Benson come to mind when reading of such criminal endeavors. Although there is probably no connection just seems like an interesting topic and food for thought.

Fredrick Woods was a gifted mechanic who investigators said used his knowledge of motorcycles for all the wrong reasons, landing him and five others in jail Tuesday on charges they were part of a South Florida theft ring that smuggled hundreds of bikes to the Caribbean.

Woods had connections with thieves throughout the region to steal and sell the bikes, and he built devices that bypassed the ignitions on many motorcycle models, helping the thieves snatch the bikes in seconds, Broward Sheriff Ken Jenne said.

Those arrested were:

  • Edward Alvarado, 32, of Hollywood, was arrested at his home in the 6200 block of Garfield Street that investigators said doubled as a chop shop.
  • Richard Navarro, 24, of northwest Miami-Dade
  • Almocrates Job, 29, of west Kendall
  • Jason George, 22, of Miramar
  • Xavier Jones, 36, a Miami mechanic.
