Joran Van der Sloot Leaves Aruba back in Holland

According to credible sources and posted over at Joranvandersloot.blogspot.com, Joran Van der Sloot has left Aruba and returned to Holland.

So much for Steve Cohen’s promise to have Joran brought in for questioning. Within 10 days was it? From ‘Rita Cosby Live & Direct’ for Dec. 21, 2005:

STEVE COHEN, SPECIAL ADVISER TO ARUBAN GOVERNMENT: Well, I think the sequence of events is fairly simple. Joran will be arriving back in Aruba in the next 24 to 48 hours. It is expected that he will be re-questioned somewhere in the next 10-day period. I doubt that they will bring him back for questioning immediately, but it will be in that period. And also, it is expected the Kalpoes will also be brought in for questioning.

What was the purpose of Steve Cohen and the Aruban Strategic Communications Task Force? To correct what the MSM was saying and their misrepresentations? Really?

And to make matters even better, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe will not be reinterviewed either. Read here, Re-Interrogation: Not Happening.

Robin Holloway reports that Karin Janssen stated that the suspects could not be re-interrogated, because the judge released them with prejudice. The term “prejudice” in legal language means that the defendant cannot be brought in for questioning in the future (or charge with a similar charge in the future).

The Aruban prosecution, Aruban officials and Steven Cohen (spokesman fro the Aruban government) knew all along that the three suspects did not have to come in voluntarily and yet they set nothing in motion prior to any of this to compel them to be questioned?

This is the vigorous effort that they all promised Alabama Representative Bachus when an Aruban contingent went to Washington, DC recently? Representative Bachus, you have some explaining to do to your constituents as to your past comments. What do you have to say for yourself now after this last round of vigorous efforts to deal with these three suspects?

Then again, most people are really not surprised by the half hearted in not near no effort performed. This is exactly the reason why American citizens have decided on their own to not travel to Aruba. People see that they are given second and third opportunities to get this right and each time they just ignore the chance.
