Confusion on what was said on Tapes? Jaime Skeeters, “My old grandmother can even hear what was said on those tapes”

From tonights On the Record without Greta Van Susteren, November 23, 2005. If there was ever a night that Greta should have been there for an interview. Then again after all these weeks, the news comes out regarding the tapes on Thanksgiving Eve. The most traveled day in America.

It was earlier reported that the tapes that Holland was looking over from the Dr Phil show/Jaime Skeeters had been altered. However, Jaime Skeeters has a much different version and answer. When asked Skeeter’s stated as he has all along that his tapes were authentic and references a conversation he had with Dompig.

Well, after doing about fifteen back flips when I first heard it this morning, I called Chief Dompig. I asked him just what the hecks going on cause I know those tapes were not altered. He said that somebody misunderstood him: that the tape I sent him, the DVD is authentic. It hasn’t been touched; it is authentic and nothing wrong with it. So I said, what’s going on?

Well, again I asked the chief because we are on the same page Chief Dompig and I. He assures me that my tape is the authentic one. So I said where are the dummy tapes? The cooked tapes? Apparently and to make this short, when I downloaded Deepak’s interview onto my DVD; it was on my computer to a DVD…I sent that to the Phil show. Apparently they downloaded my DVD to beta tapes that you use on television where he could take clips of it. Certainly there are going to be clips and evidence of a two hour interview put in ten seconds. This is what they’re talking about.

It just appears that nothing can be easy when it comes to any aspect in the Natalee Holloway case. What is remarkable is that Dompig has stated that Skeeter’s DVD’s are authentic and not tampered with. Skeeters states that Deepak says on his version that he says he had sex with Natalee.

Reporter: So Jamie can I ask you…the clip that we heard where Deepak it could be suggested says that the boys had sex with Natalee. Specifically, that he did and it was very easy to do. Is that authentic? Is that what he told you when you interviewed him?

Skeeters: Yes, the word was you’d be surprised how simple it was.

Jaime Skeeters even goes to as far as saying it was clear as day on the DVD what was said. The DVD that Dompig says is authentic.

I sent him a DVD because he only had the working models, even the chief says “Yes, I can hear what you’re saying and what he said.” My old grandmother can even hear what was said on those tapes from the laptop.

So if Dompig admits that the Skeeter’s DVD’s are authentic and it states on the DVD what Deepak says, where is the issue? Wouldn’t the original two hour unedited version that Skeeter have be the ultimate evidence against Deepak, not the edited segment for a TV show?

Natalee Holloway: AM Digital; Requests to boycott Aruba

If only the reactions and news paper’s comments were so critical of how the Natalee Holloway investigation had been handled. If only the Aruban media was as critical of those in charge and empowered to affect the investigation. If only AM Digital took the following line from their article and held it up to those in charge of this investigation and prosecution.

People in positions of power and authority should hold themselves to higher standards and should base their decisions on facts and logic.

You are very correct in your statement. It is too bad that this has not occurred during the investigation of Natalee Holloway. I dare say if it had, we would not still be discussing it today, nor would Aruba be facing a boycott.

It is truly sad that the Aruban media continually deflects from the real issue at hand. This is not about crime statistics in Birmingham. Birmingham hardly claims to be the tourist destination that Aruba does. One can hardly compare 80,000 to 4.5 million when discussing anything. It just isn’t comparable. This is also not about anyone’s re-election bid. One gets the feeling that this is no longer a media discussing a story, but more like a defense attorney throwing anything up against the way to see what sticks.

Try as everyone might, no one has been yet to explain away how three suspects that were last seen and admitted they were with Natalee Holloway were never treated as primary suspects from the outset. No one can explain that when caught in a lie they were still not arrested. Day one, the video tape showed no one was ever dropped off at the Holiday Inn. No one has been able to explain away the fact that 10 days went by and the suspects homes were not searched.

The reason is, BECAUSE NO ONE CAN.

Alabama Governor Riley sends governors letters urging boycott of Aruba with regards to Natalee Holloway investigation

According to the AP, Alabama Governor Bob Riley has sent 49 letters off to the other United States governors to have them back his boycott of Aruba.

Gov. Bob Riley has sent letters to the 49 other American governors, urging them to join him in a boycott of Aruba on behalf of the family of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, but it’s unclear how many governors will support the move.

It had been reported earlier this week that Riley was slow to follow up on his initial statement of calling for a boycott. Many of his fellow governors had yet to hear about the boycott except through emails and the general public. What else would one expect from politicians?

“We’ve gotten a few e-mails form constituents, but we haven’t received anything form Gov. Riley at this point,” said Kempthorne’s office.

“Our hearts go out to that family…had heard Gov. Riley would be contacting other governors … and haven’t heard from him,” said North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven’s office.
