DIARIO Aruba: 10/19/2005: Rumannan Kalpoe a haya nan paspoortnan back
ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Public Ministry [prosecution's office] recently gave back the Kalpoe brothers their passports. All material previously confiscated during the Hooiberg search was given back.
One of the belongings in question was the passport of the youngsters Deepak, as well as Satish Kalpoe. Their lawyer confirmed this to DIARIO.
This means that the Kalpoe brothers have their legal documents back to travel. It is doubtful that they can do this, since the judge clearly indicated that they cannot leave Aruba.

I thought it had been reported they were released unconditionally, or was that just Joran? It seems that little by little they are letting go of these guys, but then they talk about how they may bring them back in for questioning – hollow empty talk!

Wow! This sure is a sign that the Aruban Justice System wants the Kalpoe brothers out of town. Why would they give the boys their passports back for any other reason. The evidence is “HOT”
for them since Deepak made that statement about all of the boys having sex with Natalee. This might involve Joran’s father. The Aruban Justice System is going to try harder now not to be exposed.

I’ve seen it a million times. Your rich white friend will turn on you and your brother. Do what is right. Give this grieving family the truth they need and tell on your friend before he tells on you. Write it in a letter and leave the country. (you have your passport now. ) But get the family the truth and the details that they long for……..
Last I heard, Sept 2nd, all three were free with no travel restrictions, which by the way shocked me, as well as many other people.

Why does Joran have permission to travel without boundries but the Kalpoe brothers have to remain Aruba?

And they are sending statements to Aruba sworn in the US? What legal weight will that have?
You know, if they’d have prosecuted the last people SEEN with Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, OJ would never have gone to trial. And you can’t expect Aruban authourities to act on evidence that is bogus or imaginary.

This jsut goes to show the level of “concern” that the ALE has for the investigation, the boys, and the outcome of this case. Have they given reason as to WHY? Did I miss it or was it just not explained yet? I have a hard time believing they know how to really handle a situtation like this. I feel the bad decisions that island has made will forever haunt them. I’m not SCREAMING boycott, but I will never personally go there. What everyone else does is their business.
Do people not read things? They were released, and free to travel. The did not get there PHYSICAL passports back, along with other items taken during the investigation. Remember when posters were all about making fun of the brothers because they wanted their stuff back. This INCLUDED the passports. The brothers had to wait well over a month to get these returned. Do I smell a cover-up and conspiracy?? I bet it was that evil judge PVDS!!
I agree with Rafael, however Deepak knows who he will implicate if he confesses. We believe Paulus Van Der Sloot is involved. I believe it is the entire Aruban Justice System. Deepak might even be afraid for his safety if he talks. When Skeeters taped him he was braging. You know young boys are compelled to talk about their sexual quests. Since the Aruban Justice System has been very good about this cover up they might make a deal with the Kalpoe’s brother to take the blame.

So much for ministers promise to find out the truth , hes just talking lots of BS trying to stalll for more time. Marci, you claim Deepak Kalpoe was bragging when he talked to “skeeter” … Deepak claims this audio that was aired thru the US media has been edited. Why do you simply jump to the conclusion that the tape ISN’T edited. I listened to two versions and in my opinion, the audio portion IS edited to make it appear as if he admitted having sex with the other two boys with Natalee H.
Why not wait to see if the tape is actually REAL before telling everyone he was “bragging” … not only that, I don’t think Deepak is stupid enough to “brag” to anyone … he is a suspect in this case and he knows it.
Some of you think now that they have their passports they are going to flee. I doubt it very much. All three were released Sat, Sept 3d with no travel restrictions. The only condition is they tell the courts and police where they are going if they decide to leave the island of Aruba and be available for questioning at any time. If they aren’t, they’ll have warrants for their arrest for breaking this condition. Jeez, calm down.
You can bet that the last people seen with Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson were questioned.. and if they would’ve made up a lie putting 2 innocent people in jail to detract attention from them, they too would’ve been the number one suspects.. There’s fibs and then there’s blatant lies..
The Kalpoe brothers and their mother and Joran and his father put themselves in the position they are in right now.. They had an opportunity to do the right thing and blew it.. It their fault and noone else’s, noone believes them.. Now over and over they are trying to paint themselves as the victims.. That’s typical when you have no defense or answers.. If they really wanted to prove they are innocent,, there are ways.. so far none have.. They have only wanted to blame two innocent black guys and Natalee and her family.. The real victims..
Why am I not surprised. The Aruban Government seems to be over and done with their investigation. They screwed it up so badly from the beginning they probably wouod not know how to go about doing the right thing now. They do not know how passionate American’s can be and that we will not go away.
Personally i feel the main culprit is Deepak. He was the one with a car (could easily come back to the beach and rape and kill her), he was the one who felt rejected by Natalee. Remember he said right in the beginning that natalee did not talk much to him, and that she and Joran were kissing in the back f his car and he didn’t like it. Didn’t like what? that she wasn’t kissing him? then he calling her a s l u t is like a red trigger, like some of these crazy guys who go about killing women who they think are immoral. Joran on his own did not have the need to rape her, from all accounts it looks like Natalee was taken up with him so he didn’t have to rape her.
question is; How does Deepak Kalpoe afford to have his lawyers working so hard on this? His mother was fired from her job (wasn’t a high paying job either) he works in an internet cafe. Internet cafe’s must be paying pretty good these days, I doubt this is pro bono. Who is backing this guy? Follow the money trail and there will probably be the person with the most to hide and keep protected. Give me a break Dompig! “There’s a new sheriff in town!”… there’s a new distraction in town, a new stalling technique in town, a new diversion technique in town. All of the hoopla about the Tourist Associations asking for more investigation, I don’t buy it! Just another LaLa to make it look like a real investigation is being performed. Dompig already shot back American involvment in the investigation. “The FBI was there” all Dompig is doing is reverse psychology, “Well America, you did the investigating with us and what did you find?” Wake up and smell the coffee, the evidence collected 9-10 days after the lies started was never tested, if it was, where are the results? Were there any or not? The investigation is over, make public the statements and the forensic evidence, Van Der Sloot is gone, the Kalpoes will be soon as well, who are they trying to kid, this thing is done. I feel and pray for the Holloway/Twitty family and I hope they will have closure, but what’s going in Aruba is a joke. That Happy Little Island is a money sucking grub that only cares about tourism money. America won’t boycott it (but this American will) because they are intrigued by this stuff! Look at the shows on TV these days for God’s sake. Cold Files, CSI, etc… it appeals to the dark side of people, they will go there like rubber neckers at a traffic accident (yeah, I rubber neck, but I won’t go to Aruba). There was one sole protestor there (Mrs. Maggie) she did what I have wanted to do all along. I won’t go there and do what she is doing, but inside I am crying like I did when Rocky got to the top of the steps! Go Mrs. Maggie! Go Mrs. Maggie! America should boycott Aruba, because every life is a life and regardless of whether the Kalpoe brothers or Joran Van Der Sloot are guilty or not, the Aruban authorities caused the case of Natalee Holloway to be botched, in their own words, mistakes were made. I believe certain actions were committed more so than certain mistakes were made, mistakes sound like an accident, and their actions were no accident or inexperience, this has happened before. Beth Twitty is right “Natalee was ripped from her life” this wasn’t fate or destiny, those 3 guys, Deepak, Satish and Joran ripped Natalee Holloway from her life, whether it was from killing her or leaving her on a beach, they lied for 9-10 days while her trail grew cold, and the hope of finding her lessened. They will have to live with this and I’m sure they will live, but the quality of life they live I hope is equal to their actions of that night.
