Hillary vs Laura – 2008

Welcome AOL Readers, this post was put up earlier, but AOL linked to our main page. Look around and enjoy. Lots of good stuff for you, and if you agree or disagree, leave a comment. Thanks! Lots of new posts under this one!

The match that will not happen, but will keep Hillary out of the White House. Hillary when compared to the other 99 Senators and other Democrats does not look so bad. But when compared to Laura Bush, she looks shabby and dirty. This will be the comparison that will keep Hillary from winning in 2008. And the great thing is, Laura will not even have to run as a candidate.

All Laura Bush will have to do is serve as a icon of what a First Lady should be; Classy, Demure, Proud, Witty, and Polite. All of the characteristics that Hillary is unable to pull off. Hillary’s greatest strengths; power obsession, calculating, haughtiness, and cold calculations will look to America as dirty and off putting.

So Laura, get ready for the campaign trail in 2008. If Hillary makes her anticipated run, you will look like the belle of the ball, and send Hillary back to, well, who knows. But not the White House, and that is all that counts.

Update from Red:

Although this Presidential match up will never occur it does raise some interesting questions regarding Hillary Clinton’s eventual run for President. After witnessing the grace, style and charm of First Lady Laura Bush for the past 5 years do we really want to go back to the days of the Clinton’s? As much as the MSM push polling wants the US electorate to believe that Hillary has changed her ways and is no longer a liberal; we all know better.

Laura Bush will not be running for President in 2008 but it can be said that she most certainly will have an impact. Her campaigning for whomever the Republican candidate is will most certainly be a positive for the Republican Party.

From Trey Jackson, see the video of VP Dick Cheney addressing the issue.

Personally, I think too much is being made of the comparison between First Lady Bush and Senator Clinton. Of course Hillary suffers when compared to Laura, but that’s because Hillary is a poltician and Laura is not. The expectations are entirely different.

If Laura started getting political enough that she could be a contender for president — which of course she won’t — her popularity would plummet. Nobody wants someone they admire to suddenly show feet of clay.

I agree with you logically Kevin, but the rub is that people are not logical. It is my opinion, and not the most fervent one at that, that people are sexist to a degree, and when they see two women, one classy and one a manipulator, they will aim for the classy one.

Then, the Republicans nominate Condi, we will own them if Hillary runs.

I may have to disagree on this one. Hillary’s approval ratings had always gone up in the past as First lady when she was the victim and not looked upon as a politician. Also the fact that she is pretending to have changed her ways is a total and complete fraud. Also, she is going to have an interesting time in the Primaries when Howard Dean and the also rans of the Dem Party will take it left.

Finally, the idea that Laura Bush exudes class while Hillary. Well Hillary is Hillary.

So was Hillary (“We are the President!”) a First Lady first or has she always been a politician? That is the real question that needs to be examined.

The fact that she constantly comes across as a politician (as compared to Laura) shows her integrity factor which is close to nil in the American Eye. Try as they might the MSM cannot erase this.

On the other hand, Laura though engaged in politics, does not come across as a politician because of her “integrity factor”.
