23 Year Old Chanel Farrell Philips Missing Since 9/21/13 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Update: Phillip’s Found in Submerged Car in Pond)

23 year old Chanel Farrell Philips has been missing since early Saturday morning, September 21, 2013 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Phillips was last seen around 2am at the popular bar, the Dirty Martini, and friends last heard from her around 3am. According to Phillips’s mother, Philips and a friend went to her friend’s home near Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter after they left the bar. Channel was only about 2 miles away from her home when she supposedly sent the text message to another one of her friends.

Phillips was last seen around 2am at Dirty Martini, a popular bar at Downtown at the Gardens.

According to Phillips’s mother, Philips and a friend went to her friend’s home near Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter after they left the bar.

Her friend was driving Phillips’s car, a black Cadillac Deville with the Florida license plate 913 NPA, her mother said.

Phillips is described as having brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135 pounds. She has one tattoo on the back of her neck with the word “SINNER” and another on her torso with Roman numerals for the date March 30, 1990.

Jupiter police say the body of a 23-year-old Palm Beach Gardens woman missing since Saturday has been found.

Police found Chanel Phillips’ black 2001 Cadillac Deville in a pond at the Mallory Creek residential development in Jupiter around noon on Tuesday after evidence of a car leaving the road was spotted nearby.

The crash is being investigated as a single-vehicle crash, according to a news release.

Anyone who has seen Phillips or her car is asked to call the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department at (561) 799-4445.

LOIS LERNER QUITS …

The Washington Times is reporting that Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the heart of the IRS scandal that targeted conservative non-profit groups and the Tea Party has quit. Basically, Lerner read the “Tea” leaves and quit before she was fired. In the process of her voluntary departure prior to facing the fire, Lerner will get her full tax payer paid 6 figure pension. So the question remains, what does this woman have to hide and why is she willing to get out of Dodge in order to attempt to do so? Lerner has been on administrative leave for months, with pay of course.

So will “We the People” get stuck for paying this woman’s pension when most likely she should be charged criminally for her actions and abuse of power?

Lois G. Lerner, the woman at the center of the IRS tea party targeting scandal, retired from the agency Monday morning after an internal investigation found she was guilty of “neglect of duties” and was going to call for her ouster, according to congressional staff.

Her departure marks the first government official to pay a significant price in the scandal, though Republicans were quick to say her decision doesn’t put the matter to rest and pointed out that she still can be called before Congress to testify.

The Internal Revenue Service confirmed Ms. Lerner’s retirement in a statement but said it couldn’t release any more information because of privacy concerns.

Rep. Sander M. Levin of Michigan, the ranking Democrat on the HouseWays and Means Committee, said an accountability review board set up to investigate the people at the agency involved with the scandal completed their review and were set to recommend Ms. Lerner’s ouster. The review board, though, found no evidence of political bias, he said.

Regardless of what happens to Lerner, who is entitled to a presumption of innocence, it is vital that Congress continue to investigate this matter to find out exactly what happened at the IRS. The IRS is one of the most powerful agencies in the federal government. Its bureaucrats have the ability to devastate and ruin the lives, businesses, and prosperity of every American—as well as the membership associations that form a fundamental part of our body politic and through which citizens assert their views and opinions.

We should not forget the danger posed by an out-of-control and abusive IRS. We should determine why this happened, who authorized it, and what steps need to be taken to make sure it does not happen again.

Media Bias … MSNBC.com Says New Website Is ‘What Progressives Have Been Waiting For’

So much for media objectivity, at least MSNBC.com does not even present to be “fair and balanced” …

From The Blaze comes the following interesting tid-bit regarding MSNBC and their push to be more of a progressive and liberal hub for ideology, rather than an objective news source. It is hard to believe that this used to be an actual, credible news source all not that long ago. Yup, no media bias here.

Individuals visiting MSNBC.com over the weekend will be greeted with a new splash page billing the new website as “what progressives have been waiting for.”

“Want a sneak peek at the new msnbc.com?” the splash page asks. “It’s what progressives have been waiting for.”

On the other side of the splash page, visitors are told to visit NBC News for “breaking news and reporting.”

Egyptian Court Bans the Muslim Brotherhood and Ordered Its Assets Confiscated

The AP is reporting that an Egyptian court has banned the Muslim Brotherhood and has ordered its assets confiscated. This ruling bans the Muslim Brotherhood from carrying out activities inside the country. Prior to the 2011 fall of  Hosni Mubarak, the Brotherhood had been  outlawed for most of its 85 years in existence. But after the 2011 ouster of Mubarak, the terror group was allowed to work openly, formed a political party and rose to power in a string of post-Mubarak elections.

These two probably have a lot of explaining to do regarding the Arab Spring

An Egyptian court has banned the Muslim Brotherhood group and ordered its assets confiscated in a dramatic escalation of a crackdown by the military-backed government against supporters of the ousted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi.

Egypt state TV said the court issued its ruling on Monday.

The Brotherhood was outlawed for most of its 85 years in existence. But after the 2011 ouster of autocrat Hosni Mubarak, it was allowed to work openly, formed a political party and rose to power in a string of post-Mubarak elections. In March, it registered as a recognized non-governmental organization.

Yes, this is the same Muslim Brotherhood of which Barack Obama has no issue with inviting to the White House.

Statement from Judge Mohammed al-Sayed:

“The court bans the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood organization and its non-governmental organization and all the activities that it participates in and any organization derived from it,” judge Mohammed al-Sayed said in a statement on Monday, according to Reuters.

The court also ordered the Muslim Brotherhood’s assets confiscated.

Five People Found Dead Inside Texas Home, 3 Children & 2 Adults … Murder/Suicide?

FAMILY OF 5 DEAD, MURDER – SUICIDE?

A family of five, 3 children and 2 adults, were found dead inside their home just outside of Rice, Texas. The discovery occurred Sunday night.  Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner said, “I don’t care where you are. Any time there’s five losses of lives in one location, that’s shocking and traumatic. It’s a horrible, horrible thing to see, witness or be a part of.” The children have been reported under the age of 12. The police have stated that they do not think that there are any murder suspects at large, that makes us believe that this might have been a horrific murder-suicide. However, authorities have released no details.

A family of five was found dead inside a residence outside Rice, Texas, on Sunday night, authorities said.

Navarro County sheriff’s deputies found the bodies of two adults and three children inside.

“We are concentrating on the investigation inside the residence and we do not have reason to believe there are any other suspects at this time.” Sheriff Elmer Tanner said. He would not say if the incident was a murder-suicide, or how the residents died.

UPDATE I: 2 Adults, 3 Children Found Dead Inside Home In Rice.

The Navarro County Sheriff’s department confirms that five members of a family were found dead inside of a home near the town of Rice. The deceased include two adults and three children, all under the age of 12.

Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner says a Spanish-speaking male called 911 around 7 p.m. Sunday night to report that several members of his family were dead at a home in Rice, 40 miles southeast of Dallas.

Emergency medical personnel arrived on scene shortly after and confirmed the deaths of five people.

Police are scheduled to give a news conference on Monday providing more details.
