Obama’s Failed Green Energy Policies: American Taxpayers Lose $139 Million on Fisker Automotive Loan

The Obama administration fumbles the ball again in picking Fisker Automotive and giving them our hard earned money …

What else could we expect from Barack Obama, but yet another failed policy costing the American tax payers millions in wasted money. This time it is Obama’s failed so-called green energy policies like Fisker Automotive and a $139 million loss.  Great, now we are selling off $192 million defaulted loans to the Chinese for $25 million. Thanks Barack Obama.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Obama administration. The Energy Department has sold off its $192 million loan guarantee to Fisker Automotive to Chinese billionaire Richard Li for $25 million — the biggest taxpayer loss on a green loan since the failure of Solyndra.

The Energy Department will announce the “selling of the promissory note” to Hybrid Tech, which is owned by Chinese billionaire Richard Li, according to sources familiar with the sale. The DOE sold the loan to Li for $25 million after lending the financially troubled green automaker a total of $192 million since 2009.

“Once again, American taxpayers are losing out to foreign investors due to the Obama administration’s failed green energy policies. Time after time this administration has fumbled the ball with their attempts to pick winners and losers when it comes to American energy,” House Energy and Commerce Committee vice chairman Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican, said in a statement to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“As a result of President Obama’s misguided policies, the Department of Energy Loan Guarantee program is quickly becoming a highly utilized stimulus program for foreign investors,” she added.

Including the $25 million loan sale, the DOE has recovered only $53 million of the original $192 million disbursed — netting taxpayers a $139 million loss.

Fisker was awarded a $529 million loan guarantee by the Obama administration in 2009 to produce a luxury hybrid car, the Karma, which sold for a $103,000 per unit. However, failure to meet Energy Department benchmarks to receive funding resulted in the company losing its loan guarantee in 2011

MSNBC: Every Single Major National Media Poll Has Barack Obama’s Poll Numbers at All-Time Lows … Impacting Democrats Across America

Barack Obama … the incredible shrinking president …

On Friday, even the panel on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ had to admit what  that Obama’s poll numbers were in free-fall across the board and hitting all-time lows in every single major national media poll. Obama’s tanking poll numbers were also dragging down Democrats up for reelection in 2014 across America. Recent Senate polls in Montana, Colorado and North Carolina where Democrats who were either close or ahead a month ago are now finding themselves either even or behind. The Obamacare lies and fiasco are shredding Democrats. Look for more and more Democrats to jump ship.

What is the Democrats answer to the lies, misrepresentations and fabrications they have told “We the People,” why make Obamacare even more political than it already is and extend the enrollment period until after the 2015 midterm elections.

Crystal Mangum, Woman Who Falsely Accused 3 Duke LAX Players of Rape, Found Guilty of Murder

From false rape accuser to murderer …

34 year old Crystal Mangum was found guilty of second degree murder by a jury on Friday in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Reginald Daye. Mangum stabbed her boyfriend, Reginald Daye on April 3, 2011, in which 10 days  later died from complications. Mangum claimed the stabbing was a case of self-defense; however, the jury did not believe her. She was sentenced to between 14 years and 18 years in prison. It is simply amazing how some people seem to just not be able to stay out of trouble. In 2006, Crysta Mangum falsely claimed Duke lacrosse players gang-raped her at a team party where she was hired as a stripper.

The woman who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape was convicted of second-degree murder Friday in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

The jury deliberated for about six hours over two days before reaching its verdict in the trial of 34-year-old Crystal Mangum, who was sentenced to between 14 years and 18 years in prison.

Killed was 46-year-old Reginald Daye, who was stabbed on April 3, 2011. He died of complications 10 days later.

Mangum’s attorney, Daniel Meier filed an appeal Friday.

“That’s the jury’s vote,” Meier said. “At least it wasn’t first-degree. I still thought it was self-defense or, in the worst case, manslaughter. But the jury must have found malice.”

Assistant District Attorney Charlene Franks said the prosecution was satisfied with the verdict.

“It’s up to the jury, and we’re satisfied with what the jury did,” she said. “They felt that justice was required in this case.”

9 Month Old Savanna Catherine Todd Missing Since 1994 from Isle of Palms, SC Has Been Found in Australia … 53 Year Old Dorothy Lee Barnett Charged With International Parental Kidnapping

Unbelievable … 9 month old baby missing since 1994 found in Australia nearly 20 years later …

Savanna Catherine Todd, who was kidnapped by her mother in 1994 in South Carolina after she failed to returned her to the girl’s father after a supervised visit in April 1994, has been found alive in Australia. The daughter, now 20, as reported by the Sidney Morning Herald was “safe, healthy and otherwise living a normal life.” Savanna’s father, Benjamin Harris Todd III of Charleston, was granted custody following the couple’s February 1994 divorce. Since being taken out of the United States, Savanna’s name was changed to Samantha. Dorothy Lee Barnett was arrested in Australia on November  4, 2013 and charged with one count of International parental kidnapping and making false statements to attain a passport. Barnett was denied bond and is expected to be extradited to the US. Barnett faces up to 23 years in prison if convicted.

A girl missing since 1994 has been found and an indictment has been unsealed against the girl’s mother.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 53-year-old Dorothy Lee Barnett, of Queensland, Australia, has been charged with one count of international parental kidnapping and two statements of false statement in a passport application.

Barnett used to live on Isle of Palms.

Attorneys say Barnett is charged with keeping her infant child,  Savanna Catherine Todd, outside of the United States in an effort to keep her ex-husband from having any access.

According to the indictment, Todd was removed from the country when she was 10 months old. She was kept outside of the country until May 2009, the attorney’s office continued.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said Todd, now an adult, was found safe and living an otherwise normal and healthy life.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation didn’t give up either … Agents alleged that they came across evidence that Barnett tried using an alias a decade ago to get an American passport.

Savanna’s picture was posted on websites. Artists created images depicting what she might look like today.

During her alleged time on the lam, Barnett used aliases such as Alexandria Maria Canton, federal authorities said, to evade detection.

Citing court papers, The Australian reported that she got married in 1995 to Juan Geldenhuys in South Africa. She gave birth to a son.

Once in March 2003 and again in March 2004, Barnett used her new name, Alexandria Maria Geldenhuys, to attempt to get a U.S. passport, according to the indictment against her.

She and her new husband later became citizens of New Zealand, then moved to Australia in 2007, The Australian reported. Her husband later left Barnett and died of cancer.

America Remembers John F. Kennedy 50 Years Later after that Fateful Day … “Anybody here seen my old friend John?”

November 22, 1963 … the day that shook America in Dallas, TX.

JFK_NYT

For those that were alive on that fateful day, yesterday most Americans remembered where they were the day that President John F. Kennedy was shot and assassinated while traveling in his presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas. It was the day that shocked America, the world and forever changed the United States with innocence lost. In a time in which few can even conceive or remember when there were three news channels, no-24-7 news, no internet, no social media, no Twitter … the nation was rocked with the unthinkable, the death of a president as all watched in horror.

At 12:29 pm CST, as President Kennedy’s uncovered limousine entered Dealey Plaza, Nellie Connally, then the First Lady of Texas, turned around to President Kennedy, who was sitting behind her, and commented, “Mr. President, you can’t say Dallas doesn’t love you,” which President Kennedy acknowledged. Then life changed, everything changed as we knew it. John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 pm CST, Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. JFK was taken to Parkland Hospital, Trauma Room 1 where he was treated for his mortal wounds to his head.

At 1:00 p.m., CST President John F. Kennedy was pronounced dead. As one doctor was reported to say, “We never had any hope of saving his life.” And sadly we were presented with another good man who died too young.

Anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he’s gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked around and he’s gone.

50 years later we remember President John F. Kennedy, a life taken far to soon and his vision for America that was cut short  that Day in Dealey Plaza by an assassins bullet. We remember the man who is frozen in time because of the tragic nature in how he was killed and we can only wonder how things, so many things would have been different in America had he lived. Too many focus on the “conspiracy” theories of how JFK died or his affair with Marilyn Monroe, but there was so much more to a president who captured the imagine of the country. I was not alive the day JFK died, but being a history major I had read much of his life. I have attended the Kennedy Library and been to grave, the “Eternal Flame,” at Arlington National Cemetery as well as grew up in New England so was surrounded by the lore of the Kennedy’s most of my life. JFK was a unique man, an inspirational individual who knew how to communicate with people, bring them together and make people feel good about themselves. But he was much more than that, he was a leader, a man who had big goals as seen by is efforts to get the US into space and he was the one who asked us,“ask not what your country can do for you can do for your country” (VIDEO). Where are those leaders today?

‘Abraham, Martin and John’ - Dion

U.S. President John F. Kennedy was remembered as a transcendent leader of a rising nation at a ceremony in Dallas on Friday, the 50th anniversary of his assassination, while bitterness remained for many who disbelieve the official story of how he died.

“Our collective hearts were broken,” Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings told a crowd of about 5,000 who came to a frigid Dealey Plaza, near where Kennedy was slain, for a commemoration marked with prayer, song and tears.

Remembered fondly for his youthful vigor and his glamorous wife, Kennedy remains one of Americans’ favorite presidents for his handling of the Cuban missile crisis, his call to public service with programs such as the Peace Corps and a promise – later fulfilled – to land an American on the moon before the end of the 1960s.

“A new era dawned and another waned a half century ago when hope and hatred collided right here in Dallas,” Rawlings said.

The assassination cut short “Camelot,” as the 1,000 days of the Kennedy presidency became known. He was 46 when he died

This is how I remember John F. Kennedy, as a leader, a unifier and a man with a vision of big ideas and one’s that made America better, not just a political party. Take a good listen to what a true leader sounds like. I hear an awful lot of “WE”, not me or I. JFK wanted the United States to be a leader in the world, number one, not a follower. Where has my old friend John gone, it is true that the good so die young.

“The exploration of space will go ahead, whether we join it or not. And it is one of the greatest adventures of all times. And no nation which expects to be the leaders of other nations can expect to stay behind in this race for space”.

“We Choose to go to the moon, not because they are easy, because they are hard”
