Obama White House Touts Kenyan Program to Obtain National ID Cards for Voter Registration … But in America Obama Mouth Piece Says, “We should not be imposing unnecessary obstacles or barriers to voter participation.”

While on his $100 million tax payer paid trip to Africa, The Weekly Standard reports the Obama White House touted the Kenyan program to use a national ID card for voter registration. The WH stated,  one of the first items highlighted by the White House is a $53 million program in Kenya that helps young people “obtain National identification cards, a prerequisite to voter registration.” Sounds great doesn’t it? Barack Obama and his minions are praising a national ID card as a prerequisite to “voter registration.”

So what is wrong with this picture?  Isn’t it Barack Obama and Democrats that are against voter ID in order to prove who you are at the ballot? Do they think we just forget or don’t have the ability to use an Internet search engine? At an August 2012 press briefing, Jay Carney had the following to say about a Texas voter ID law: “And on the voter ID case, I can tell you that, as you know, this administration believes it should be easier for eligible citizens to vote — to register and vote. We should not be imposing unnecessary obstacles or barriers to voter participation.”

So what’s the difference between Kenya’s national ID for voter registration and a voter ID in Texas? Oh that’s right, no voter fraud in Kenya can sway the election for Obama or Democrats. How come an ID card is not a barrier to voter participation in Kenya?

Team Obama, the MSM and the Left claimed to be so outraged by the comments that Mitt Romney made the following comment at a campaign stop in Michigan, “No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate.” That automatically made the Left and the MSM refer to Romney as a ‘birther”. Really, you mean it wasn’t a joke? Suddenly the thin skinned Team Obama folks became morally outraged that how dare Romney make such a comment, joke or no joke.

The disingenuous LEFT even went so far as to call Romney a “birther” even though the Romney had already made it public record that he believed Obama was born in Hawaii. But that did not stop the LEFT and Team Obama from using the joke as a way to try and make it a distraction to the campaign. Anything and everything at all cost to divert from the 8.3% unemployment, record debt and millions of out of work Americans.

DNC Chair, Debbie “Downer” Wasserman Schultz stated that Romney ‘birther’ quip no joke. Really Debbie, you might want to take back those words before you have to eat them. Debbie Wasserman Schultz went on to say that making a joke about a presidents birth certificate, “its beneath some one who is running for President of the United States”. Get a life Debbie … look what Obama said about his own birth certificate in 2011.

Just one question to Team Obama and the unhinged LEFT, how come it is perfectly ok for Barack Obama to make fun of where he was born? He did just that at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner where “The Obamamessiah” played a clip from his birth video, see below.

Hmm, does this make Obama a “birther” as well. How dare he joke about his birth certificate. Obama must be a birther because no one is allowed to reference or joke about the Obamamessiah’s birth certificate. Moonbats, do you see how foolish you look actually trying to make this an issue. Hmm?

Why would the bio of Barack Obama provided to his literary agent be changed numerous times over the years to update events and accomplishments of Obama, yet his birth place of Kenya was not changed until just after he announced his run for the Presidency in 2007? Seriously, one does not have to be a “birther” to ask such a question. This story of why Obama’s bio would read “born in Kenya” was initially brought to the public’s attention at Breitbart.com in their own going effort to do what the MSM refuses to do … Vetting the President. As stated at the PJ Tatler, when the bizarre and embarassing fact was uncovered earlier this week, agent Miriam Goderich backpedaled and stated that the Kenyan birth claim was simply a “fact-checking error.” OK, so then why did it go through a myriad of edits and updates with no change until right before Obama’s Presidential announcement?

The biography provided by Barack Obama to his literary agent specified his birthplace as “Kenya”. And, over the course of 17 years, despite multiple revisions by Obama, the Kenyan birthplace remained a fundamental part of the bio on the agent’s website.

I’ve used the Wayback Archive to explore the exact transformations of Obama’s biography on his agent’s site (click on any of the thumbnails to zoom to a readable size).

On June 27, 1998, the website read: “BARACK OBAMA was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book is DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE.”

The Bio was updated circa December 2004; however, it still stated the following; “He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago”.

Then as Doug Ross notes a remarkable edit was made to the Obama bio between April 3rd and April 21st 2007, where someone must have noticed the discrepancy in birthplace that would presumably disqualify the Senator from office.

On April 21, 2007, the website read: “BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Hawaii to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, has been a long time New York Times bestseller.”

The question at hand is why lie? The Other McCain has an interesting theory that being born in Hawaii was not edgy enough to give him racial street cred. Let me just say that I am not a “birther” and actually do believe that Obama was born in Hawaii, but I also am a little taken aback by his continual lack of transparency and the fact that it appears his past is a made up fiction. We does the most transparent President ever not hand over his college transcripts and application. I am betting that it say origin of birth, Kenya.

This is all very important and not because Obama was born in Kenya but more to the point that Obama will lie and say anything for his advantage. This is hardly “Hope & Change” … it is the mark of an opportunist.

More to the point, who in the hell vets Presidential candidates? What is the process, do we just ask them whether they were born in the USA and if they say yes, that is goo enough? How could those vetting not have found something so simple? Of course we will learn long after Obama is out of office that those in the MSM knew about this all along and hushed it up.
