Secretary of State John Kerry Reporting for Duty, Or Not … Kerry Vacationing on Nantucket as Egypt in Turmoil … Kerry was not on the boat, before he was on it.

PRIORITIES …

Secretary of State Thurston Howard III John Kerry “Reporting for Duty” as he vacations on Nantucket as Egypt is in turmoil. What, do you think that some one in the Obama Administration would give up their vacation and actually do their job? The administration claims Kerry is engaged as Egypt was in chaos. Hmm, engaged, was he engaged while he was sailing? But why would we think that Kerry puts vacationing ahead of his job when we have been witness to Barack Obama, the Vacationer in Chief for 4+ years. Hell, we still do not even know where Obama was the night that the Benghazi consulate was attacked by terrorist and four Americans were killed.

Secretary of State John Kerry is spending a sun-splashed Fourth of July on Nantucket, even as a chaotic overthrow of the government rocks Egypt and continues to test diplomatic relations in Washington.

Kerry, who has a house and a yacht on the ritzy island getaway, was seen strolling down Federal Street away from July Fourth festivities on Main Street, a source told the Herald.

Kerry, who has just completed a 12-day, 2,500-mile trip to the Middle East and Asia, was with his daughters, their husbands and a security guard, the source said.

American Power adds, Look, it’s 4th of July. Why not just say Secretary Kerry is staying in contact with all the relevant personnel and be done with it?  … But in line with this administration’s MO, it’s lying liars all the way.

Isn’t it funny how “flip-flopping” just follows this man … Kerry was not on the boat, before he was on it.

UPDATE I: State Department  Denies Kerry Was On Yacht During Egyptian President’s Ouster.

The State Department is denying a report that Secretary of State John Kerry spent the day on his yacht in Nantucket as Egypt’s military ousted President Mohammed Morsi.

CBS This Morning senior producer in Washington Mosheh Oinounou tweeted a photo of the “Isabel” and reported that a producer had spotted Kerry on board Wednesday.

UPDATE II: Oh wait, he was on the boat … John Kerry on his boat during Egypt upheaval, State Dept. concedes.

As regime change was unfolding in Egypt, Secretary of State John Kerry spent time on his boat Wednesday afternoon in Nantucket Sound, the State Department acknowledged to CBS News on Friday, after repeatedly denying that Kerry was aboard any boat.

We all know that whether Sec. of State John Kerry was reporting for duty or not, he could have done little to prevent the coup. The Egyptian military put forth the ultimatum to President Morsi. The Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi were a  nightmare for Egypt and the coup was going to take place. But as Poweline comments, what is telling of the Obama administration feels the need to lie at all times.

Egypt Celebrates President Mohammed Morsi Morsi’s Ousting by Military … Fireworks, Cheers & Chants in the Streets after Crowds Hear the News

INDEPENDENCE DAY … EGYPTIAN STYLE … WALK CELEBRATE LIKE AN EGYPTIAN!!!

As news traveled to the Egyptian protestors that President Mohammed Morsi had been removed and place under house arrest by the Egyptian military … the People celebrated in the streets with fireworks and cheers. Looks like the Egyptians are celebrating their own Independence Day. But how will this be perceived by President Barack Obama? Didn’t he support the Egyptian People’s protests against Hosni Mubarak, so why so quiet when a the people were fed up with the Muslim Brotherhood’s Morsi?

The Egyptian people have spoken once again …

The People have toppled the Morsi regime

Overthrow of Morsi ends in celebration

BREAKING NEWS: MORSI OUSTED … Military Coup … Egypt People Have Had it With Muslim Botherhood and Morsi … Obama not taking sides

The Egyptian military had given the Muslim Brotherhood’s President Morsi an ultimatum to step down and accept the will of the Egyptian people and for the good of Egypt. Morsi declined and the militarty stepped in and filfilled their threat. Don’t let it be said that Morsi was not warned.

Breaking News … President Morsi is out as military coup ousts Mosrsi and suspends the Constitution.

On Wednesday, Gen. Abdel Fatah Said Al-Sisi announced a military coup in Egypt. He said that the Constitution had been suspended, that early elections would take place, and that there would be a “code of ethics” for the media. He stated that the chief of the Constitutional court would be taking charge during a transitional period before another election. He said the new government would be “diverse and include all the people,” and that the constitution would be revised to reverse changes made by ousted Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi.

Al-Sisi said there would be a code of ethics for the media that would “establish values and ethics for the media to follow.” He also stated that there would be a committee for reconciliation from leaders who are credible. The armed forces, he said, call on the great Egyptian people with its various groups to continue to have peaceful protests and end the crisis. He also said that the military warned it would take action against anyone moving beyond peaceful protest.

“May Allah preserve Egypt and its people,” al-Sisi concluded.

Millions of Egyptians took to the streets and called for the end of Morsi and his failure of leadership. How come Barack Obama is not referring to this as an Arab Spring for Democracy? The video below reports that Morsi has been placed under house arrest by the Army. Morsi is out.

Charles Krauthammer Rips Barack Obama, The Bystander in Chief … On Egypt, ‘Obama the Bystander Again’ … People Trying to Bring Down and Islamist Govt and Obama Remains Neutral

What a difference a revolution makes. Why did President Barack Hussein Obama support the over throw of Egyptian President Mubarak; however, Obama remains neutral against the anti-American, Muslim Brotherhood’s Morsi? Why is Obama not standing on the side of the people this time? Good grief, Morsi is hardly representing Democracy.

Charles Krauthammer shreds Barack Obama as the “bystander” in Chief :

As he did during Iran’s Green Revolution, President Obama is letting slip an opportunity to dislodge an Islamist regime that will oppose our interests in the Middle East and which ultimately seeks our destruction.

Speaking today in Tanzania, Obama suggested that because Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi was elected democratically, the United States needs to sit on the sidelines as Egyptians take to the streets to try to save themselves from Islamism.

As Krauthammer notes, Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood are not democrats, and they have not acted democratically during their year in office. To say one must be neutral in a battle that could remove the Muslim Brotherhood because one is committed to democracy is to caricature democracy.

Show Down in Egypt, Will a Defiant President Mohamed Morsi Step Down or Will the Military Intervene on Behalf of the People

EGYPT IS ON ALERT …

The deadline is looming for Egypt President Mohamed Morsi to step down or face the ultimatum made by the Egyptian military. Millions of protesters have assembled in Cairo to protest Morsi and have called for his resignation. The military had given Morsi a 48 hour ultimatum to do the will of the people or they would intervene and do so. Now, just hours remain before the deadline. How will this show down end, peacefully or with violence?

President Morsi has refused to step down as he said that he is the country’s “guardian of legitimacy”. However, the Muslim Brotherhood had also stated they would not run a candidate for president, yet they did following the overthrow of Mubarak. However, much of the protests from the people comes from the disastrous situation that has risen since Morsi was elected to power.

Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has rejected calls for his resignation, saying that he is Egypt’s “guardian of legitimacy” after three days of nationwide pro- and anti-government demonstrations, that have drawn millions to the streets.

His speech was a response to the protests, and to an ultimatum from Egypt’s military, which on Tuesday said it would issue a political “road map” unless Morsi resolved the crisis in 48 hours. Morsi had earlier dismissed the ultimatum, demanding in a message posted on Twitter that the army rescind it.

In his televised speech on Tuesday night, Morsi accused members of former president Hosni Mubarak’s regime of trying to topple his government and undermine the revolution.’

From The WAPO, Meanwhile, Abigail Hauslohner reports that the Egyptian police are more openly embracing the anti-Morsi protests.

Many more updates at Hot Air … Army has seized State TV.

President Barack Obama was so quick to side with the people against former president and United States ally Mubarak, but he is Switzerland and proclaims neutrality when it comes to the Egyptian people and the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi.
