Jonathan Turley Says Barack Obama is the President That Richard Nixon Always Wanted To Be … Constitutional Tipping Point
THE IMPERIAL PRESIDENT …
Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley went on the Hannity Show and said the unthinkable, or should we say the unmentionable when it comes to Barack Obama, he compared him to Richard Nixon. Jonathan Turley, who mostly supports the policies of Obama, stated that we are at a tipping point constitutionally. Turley went on to call the Obama presidency an “imperial presidency, an uber presidency” and one “where the president can act unilaterally.” Folks, this is coming from a liberal. Then came the money line … “Barack Obama is really the president Richard Nixon always wanted to be.”
People don’t seem to understand that the separation of powers is not about the power of these branches, it’s there to protect individual liberty, it’s there to protect us from the concentration of power. That’s what is occurring here. You know, I’ve said it before, Barack Obama is really the president Richard Nixon always wanted to be. You know, he’s been allowed to act unilaterally in a way that we’ve fought for decades.

SEAN HANNITY: We do have co-equal branches of government, separation of powers. You teach this regularly. You agree with the president politically. For you to say we are at a tipping point constitutionally — now, I agree with you. What does that mean considering our constitution is our rule of law and they are ignoring it?
JONATHAN TURLEY: Well, unfortunately our system is changing, and it’s changing without a debate. Or even a discussion about what we’re going to do in the future when we have a three branch system, a tripartite system but one branch is so dominant. What’s emerging is an imperial presidency, an uber presidency as I’ve called it, where the president can act unilaterally. This is only the latest example of that.
What’s troubling is that we have a system that has been stable precisely because these are limited and shared powers. This president has indicated that he’s just not willing to comply with some of those aspects. He told Congress he would go it alone and in our system you’re not allowed to go it alone.
SEAN HANNITY: If I broke the law, why do I think they would be the first people to hand kickoff me, perp walk me and send me off to jail. This is just my belief system. Paranoia or truth?
JONATHAN TURLEY: Well, I think that the biggest problem we have is that the system itself, if we have a dominant branch, simply begins to shut down in terms of the safeguards.
WH Mouthpiece Jay Carney Cannot Answer a Simple Yes-or-No Question as to Whether Barack Obama Has Confidence in VA Sec. Shinseki in Wake of VA Scandal
VA-GATE: REALLY JAY … YES OR NO, IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!
White House press secretary Jay Carney was asked several times today by multiple reporters if President Barack Obama had confidence in embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Gen. Eric Shinseki. It was a simple yes or no question that Carney could not and did not answer. In the video below, ABC News reporter John Karl asked Carney a very simple yes-or-no question: “Does the president have confidence in General Shinseki?” The response from Carney turned into a reading of ‘War and Peace’. Carney went on to SAY, “The president believes and is confident that Secretary Shinseki has served this nation admirably, heroically as a soldier, as a general and that he has accomplished some very important things as secretary of Veterans Affairs, and I listed them, but they include extending education benefits, reducing veterans homelessness, and reducing the size of the backlog for disability claims while expanding vastly the number of veterans who can make a claim.” Um, Carney has the audacity, even after the release of the Department of Veterans Affairs inspector general’s office report that substantiated recent claims of inappropriate scheduling practices and secret waiting lists. REALLY?
How can the VA problem be a top priority of Obama and his mouthpiece cannot answer a yes or no question about confidence in the head of Veteran Affairs? It is all about politics with Obama. Note to this WH because America is and has grown weary of its games … if you can’t say you support someone … ask them to resign.
“A very simple yes-or-no question: Does the president have confidence in General Shinseki?” ABC News reporter John Karl asked Carney.
Carney said Obama is confident that Shinseki has served the country well.
“The president believes and is confident that Secretary Shinseki has served this nation admirably, heroically as a soldier, as a general and that he has accomplished some very important things as secretary of Veterans Affairs, and I listed them, but they include extending education benefits, reducing veterans homelessness, and reducing the size of the backlog for disability claims while expanding vastly the number of veterans who can make a claim,” Carney said.
Karl followed: “Does the president right now have confidence in Secretary Shinseki, yes or no? Very simple yes-or-no question. He told us last week he did have confidence — does he have confidence now?
Carney said, “What I would point you to is what the president said on Secretary Shinseki. I’m not going to improve upon his words on this regard. He talked about accountability. I understand the wordplay, but I think what is more important.”
Karl shot back, “It’s not wordplay. It’s a very simple question. Does he have confidence in Secretary Shinseki?”
Carney stressed that fixing the VA’s problem was the top priority.
“On the issue you’re referring to when it comes to the revelations that have come to light about Phoenix and other veterans health centers, the president was deeply troubled by what we saw in the interim report from the inspector general and he awaits the preliminary report from Secretary Shinseki on the internal audit that the secretary is conducting with the assistance of roughly 200 individuals,” Carney said.
US State Department Advises Americans in Libya to Leave Immediately
Hmm, where were the calls from the State Department and Hillary Clinton to heed the warnings and requests from Ambassador Stevens in 2011 in Benghazi?
The US State Department issued a warning on Tuesday to avoid traveling to Libya and telling Americans currently in Libya to leave immediately due to security concerns. What, like the downward spiraling security situation in Libya has not been precarious for years? The evacuation warning came shortly after the USS Bataan, with about 1,000 Marines aboard, sailed into the Mediterranean Sea to assist Americans in leaving if necessary. So how is that Obama foreign policy in Libya working? Obama has managed to make a bad situation, even worse. But as Democratic wannabe presidential hopeful and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says, “What difference does it Make”.
What’s the matter, Obama “#” foreign policy not working in Libya?
The United States warned its citizens Tuesday to avoid travel to Libya and advised that all Americans currently in that country leave immediately due to a precarious security situation.
“Due to security concerns, the Department of State has limited staffing at Embassy Tripoli and is only able to offer very limited emergency services to U.S. citizens in Libya,” a statement read.
The State Department said the security situation in Libya remains unstable almost three years since a revolution deposed the late leader Moammar Gadhafi. Military-grade weapons, including antiaircraft weapons, are in the hands of private individuals, the State Department warned.
Other threats come from extremist groups, which the U.S. says have made specific threats against American officials and citizens. The statement issued Tuesday warned that “travelers should be aware that they may be targeted for kidnapping, violent attacks, or death.”
US State Department: Libya Travel Warning.
The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Libya and recommends that U.S. citizens currently in Libya depart immediately. Due to security concerns, the Department of State has limited staffing at Embassy Tripoli and is only able to offer very limited emergency services to U.S. citizens in Libya. This Travel Warning supersedes the Travel Warning issued on December 12, 2013.
The security situation in Libya remains unpredictable and unstable. The Libyan government has not been able to adequately build its military and police forces and improve security following the 2011 revolution. Many military-grade weapons remain in the hands of private individuals, including antiaircraft weapons that may be used against civilian aviation. Crime levels remain high in many parts of the country. In addition to the threat of crime, various groups have called for attacks against U.S. citizens and U.S. interests in Libya. Extremist groups in Libya have made several specific threats this year against U.S. government officials, citizens, and interests in Libya. Because of the presumption that foreigners, especially U.S. citizens, in Libya may be associated with the U.S. government or U.S. NGOs, travelers should be aware that they may be targeted for kidnapping, violent attacks, or death. U.S. citizens currently in Libya should exercise extreme caution and depart immediately.
Sporadic episodes of civil unrest have occurred throughout the country and attacks by armed groups can occur in many different areas; hotels frequented by westerners have been caught in the crossfire. Checkpoints controlled by militias are common outside of Tripoli, and at times inside the capital. Closures or threats of closures of international airports occur regularly, whether for maintenance, labor, or security-related incidents.
So what is the difference between Benghazi in 2011 and Libya today? Can you say Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection and his BS campaign slogan that Al-Qaeda was on the run. A note to those that embrace being uniformed … Benghazi is in Libya.

Volunteer American Doctor Mehdi Ali Qamar Gunned Down in Pakistan
The sick and reprehensible irony of radical Islam, killing a doctor who was trying to save others … Doctor loses his live trying to save others.
Mehdi Ali Qamar, an American doctor was killed when two gunmen on motorcycles shot him dead as he was visiting a graveyard in Pakistan. Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar was a cardiologist and resident of Fairfield, Ohio. The murdered doctor had arrived in the Punjab province of Pakistan just three days ago to provide free medical cardiac care to heart patients. News travels fast in radical Muslim circles. It is reported that Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar was shot at least ten times at close range. He was killed in front of his wife and son, who thankfully were not harmed.
Warning: graphic image of murdered doctor can be seen HERE.
Doctor Mehdi Ali Qamar
A volunteer American cardiologist of Pakistani origin was shot dead in a remote Pakistani town on Monday, in the latest attack which underscored growing religious hatred across the south Asian country.
Doctor Mehdi Ali Qamar, who a Pakistani official said lived in Columbus, Ohio, and was visiting a family graveyard in the town of Chenab Nagar in Pakistan’s Punjab province early morning on Monday, was shot by two gunmen riding a motorcycle.
He belonged to the Ahmadi sect of Muslims whose members were officially declared to be heretics under Pakistan’s law in the mid-1970s. Qamar was a naturalized U.S. citizen who moved there about 15 years ago but visited Pakistan occasionally for volunteer work, said a senior police official in Pakistan’s city of Lahore, which is the local capital of the Punjab.
So why the senseless killing of a volunteer doctor who was just looking to help others? Does radical Islam really need an excuse to kill?
“The assassination of Dr. Qamar took place apparently because he belonged to the Ahmadi sect,” said the police official adding that the doctor was in Pakistan to perform medical procedures as a volunteer.
The Ahmadi movement is regarded by orthodox Muslims as heretical because it does not believe that Mohammed was the final prophet sent to guide mankind.
The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad confirmed the attack and the identity of the victim. Meghan Gregonis, a U.S. Embassy spokeswoman, said in a statement: “We express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. The U.S. Embassy is providing consular assistance. Out of respect for Dr. Qamar’s family during this difficult time, we have no further information to share.”

Incumbent Mitch McConnell Easily Defeats Tea Party Challenger Matt Bevin in Kentucky GOP Primary
Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell defeated his GOP Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin in the Kentucky primary by 25%, just one of many races on Super Primary Tuesday. There is a saying, we get the government that we voted for. With so many people claiming to be tired of the same old way that Washington DC is run … last night in primaries across the United States on both sides, the same old establishment candidates won. In Georgia, a Senate Republican primary headed to a runoff with the two candidates, ex-CEO of Dollar General David Perdue and Rep. Jack Kingston.
Mitch McConnell and Alison Lundergan Grimes ran victory laps Tuesday in Kentucky as they rallied their party faithful to nominate them for a colossal showdown in November that could help decide which party controls the U.S. Senate.
Grimes, Kentucky’s Democratic Secretary of State, rolled to victory over nominal primary opposition. And McConnell easily defeated tea party-backed challenger Matt Bevin, who spent $3.3 million in his failed bid to oust the five-term Republican Senate leader.
Um, isn’t Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell one of those powers to be that he is referencing in his own speech?
As Powerline opines, it is time for Republicans and Conservatives to understand who is their greater foe, “As John has pointed out, McConnell’s lifetime ACU rating, after 28 years in the Senate, ‘is certifiably right-wing at 90%.’ Given that record and the importance of wresting control of the Senate away from Harry Reid and the Democrats, it’s difficult to believe that Republicans will not unite behind McConnell in the fight against Grimes.”
