Man allegedly Threatens to Chop up Rand Paul and His Family with an Ax … Arrested by U.S. Capitol Police

THE CIVIL LEFT …

As reported at the Courier Journal, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and his family was allegedly threaten by a male to be chopped up with an ax. WTH!?! Sen. Paul tweeted his thanks on Monday to the U.S. Capitol Police for arresting a man who allegedly threatened to kill the Republican lawmaker and chop up his family with an ax. Although the police did not comment in an ongoing investigation, speaking at an event on Monday in Litchfield, KY, Paul said the unnamed man had called his Bowling Green office and “threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an ax.” This is not the first time that Sen. Paul has faced such threats and violence and certainly not the first time that Republicans law makers and Trump suppers have been viciously attacked because of their support of President Trump. The uncivil behavior and violence against Republicans is out of control. Are the Democrat leaders only going to denounce this after some one is seriously hurt, or worse?

A man is accused of threatening to chop up U.S. Sen. Rand Paul and his family with an ax.

The man has been arrested. He allegedly called in the threats to Paul’s Bowling Green office.

Paul mentioned the attack publicly at an event in Leitchfield, Kentucky, on Monday.

“Capitol Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man who threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an axe,” Paul said. “It’s just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this.”

Capitol Police declined to comment because the investigation is ongoing.

Major Defeat to Labor Unions, SCOTUS Rules 5-4 Against Forced Fees to Government Workers … Free Speech Wins

ANOTHER SCOTUS WIN FOR CONSERVATIVES …

Yesterday, the Supreme Court dealt a major blow to labor unions ruling 5-4 that state government workers cannot be forced to pay “fair share” fees to support collective bargaining and other union interests. Imagine that, employees are not compelled to have their free speech dictated by a union.  This decision is said to affect 5 million government employees in 24 states and the District of Columbia.  Writing the dissent for the court’s four liberal members, Associate Justice Elena Kagan said the majority succeeded in its “crusade” by “turning the First Amendment into a sword.” Sorry Libs, why wouldn’t this be a choice matter? Associate Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor joined Kagan. Those in the majority, Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. and Neil M. Gorsuch. The majority overturned the high court’s four-decade-old precedent, known as the “Abood” case from 1977.

The key plaintiff was Mark Janus, an Illinois state employee, who pays about $550 annually to the powerful public-sector union known as AFSCME. While not a member of the union, he is required under state law to hand over a weekly portion of his paycheck,  which he says is a violation of his constitutional rights. How can anyone not see that this was a violation of one’s First Amendment rights not to have compelled speech?

SCOTUS Transcript

In a major legal and political defeat for big labor, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Wednesday that state government workers cannot be forced to pay so-called “fair share” fees to support collective bargaining and other union activities.

The conservative majority said a union’s contract negotiations over pay and benefits were inextricably linked with its broader political activities, and concluded workers had a limited constitutional right not to underwrite such “speech.” The case specifically examined union fees paid by non-members.

“This procedure violates the First Amendment and cannot continue,” Associate Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion. “Neither an agency fee nor any other payment to the union may be deducted from a non-member’s wages, nor may any other attempt be made to collect such a payment, unless the employee affirmatively consents to pay.”

While the current case applies only to public-sector employees, the political and financial stakes are potentially huge for the broader American labor union movement, which had been sounding the alarm about the legal fight.

The unions say 5 million government employees in 24 states and the District of Columbia would be affected by this ruling.

The majority overturned the high court’s four-decade-old precedent — known as the “Abood” decision — dealing with so-called “agency” fees, allowing states to require public employees to pay money supporting collective bargaining and other union activities.

Liberal MSM Loses Their Mind Upon Justice Kennedy Retirement … MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, ‘Hell to Pay’ If Democrats Don’t Block Anthony Kennedy Replacement (VIDEO)

THE LIBERAL MSM LOSING THEIR MINDS WITH JUSTICE KENNEDY RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT …

Hmm, so why would the liberal MSM become so insane by the announcement of the retirement of Justice Kennedy? Do they think the Supreme Court is supposed to be more powerful than the Legislative or Executive branches of government? Yesterday, following the retirement announcement of Justice Kennedy, the LEFT-wing Democrat media lost their minds. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews stated, that if Democrats “don’t use everything they’ve got, if they don’t play hardball, I think they’re through.” Matthews went on to say, “If they allow Trump to fill the Supreme Court with another conservative who will not share Justice Anthony Kennedy’s views on social issues like marriage quality, then the Democratic leadership “will have hell to pay.” The LEFT, Democrats and the liberal MSM can kick, scream, whine and throw all the temper tantrums they want. The fact of the matter is they have no power to stop it.  Honestly, who thinks that had Hillary Clinton won the 2016 Presidential election, Heaven forbid, that she would have appointed a Justice comparable to that of Scalia? As for Kennedy, he might not have even considered stepping down.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday said that the Senate would hold a vote on Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s successor this fall.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews did not mince words in reacting to Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s surprise retirement announcement on Wednesday.

“I don’t think the Democrats should allow meetings to occur with Trump’s nominee to fill this vacancy by Justice Kennedy,” Matthews said. “I think they have to fight eye for an eye for what happened in ‘16 when the Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, refused to even consider or even meet with Merrick Garland.”

If the Democratic leadership under Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer “allows this to go forward,” Matthews continued, they are going to have a “huge problem with the Democratic base.” He pointed to incumbent Congressman Joe Crowley’s loss the night before to young progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a sign of just how vulnerable the establishment wing of the Democratic Party is right now.

“There is no way politically the Democratic base will stand for any kind of hearings or vote for a Trump nominee before the election,” he added. “We’ve got an election in four and half months. There’s no reason to consider a replacement on the Supreme Court in that time.” Matthews said McConnell has “no right” to bring a nominee up for a vote after what he did to Merrick Garland two years ago.

Who finds this comical that the LEFT is going crazy over a Ronald Reagan SCOTUS appointee?
