MSNBC host Al Sharpton is calling for ending federal funding for maintenance and security for the Jefferson Memorial because the third U.S. president owned slaves.

“When you look at the fact that public monuments are supported by public funds you’re asking me to subsidize the insult of my family. I would repeat that the public should not be paying to uphold somebody who has had that kind of background,” Sharpton told CBS host Charlie Rose.

“You have private museums, you have other things that you may want to do there,” he added.

The Jefferson Memorial is a large structure on the banks of the Potomac river, sitting on federal grounds.

Jefferson “had slaves and children with his slaves. And it does matter,” Sharpton continued.

“I think that people need to understand when people that were enslaved and robbed of even the right to marry, and had forced sex with their slave masters, this is personal to us.”

“This is personal,” Sharpton exclaimed. “This is not some kind of removed discussion from us, our families were victims of this. Certainly they ought to be removed.”

Now a Chicago pastor has answered that question, they want a statue of George Washington, our first President, removed from a park and the park renamed.  the far-Left is not going to stop until they have removed all of the history as they go after Our Founding Fathers. Why? Because George Washington owned slaves. UNREAL This is where it ends. These people hate America. The pastor also wanted President Andrew Jackson’s name removed from a local park. Of course he did. America, wake the hell up … this i the end game of the LEFT!

The pastor also suggested Washington Park could be named after former Mayor Harold Washington, and Jackson Park could be named after civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson or singer Michael Jackson. Really? A park named after an individual suspected of child molestation? If this wasn’t so serious, it would be laughable.

Just curious, is one of the issues that the liberal MSM and the LEFT have with Trump is that he is always ahead of them and gets it right? Bishop James E. Dukes of Chicago’s Liberation Christian Center made headlines in the Windy City on Wednesday for calling on Mayor Rahm Emanuel to rename Washington Park and remove a statue of the first U.S. president over his ties to slavery. Mr. Dukes told his Facebook flock that “it’s time” after Mr. Trump sparred with reporters over efforts to expunge Civil War-era monuments from existence.

“This week it’s Robert E. Lee. I noticed that Stonewall Jackson is coming down. I wonder is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” Mr. Trump asked reporters on Tuesday as he spoke on last weekend’s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Protests over the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. resulted in the killing of Heather Heyer, 32, when suspect James Alex Fields, 20, plowed his vehicle into a crowd.

“It’s time. Please read my letter to Mayor Rahm Emanuel and The Chicago Park District,” Mr. Dukes wrote on Facebook Tuesday night. “I’m calling on them to change the names of Washington and Jackson Park. Slave owners do not deserve the honor of our children playing in parks named after them. There is no way a Native American Community would allow a General Custer Park or a Jewish Community allow a Gestapo Park in their community.”

How could any responsible person not blame both sides? Sadly a 32-year-old woman died when she was plowed into by a car driven by a crazed, Neo-Nazi.

Like it or not, but there is this thing called freedom of speech in this country. In many cases it makes one blood boil, like when hate is spewed by the KKK and fat Leftist groups as well. That is what living in America means. I don’t see the MSM getting into a tiff when the American flag is being burned by people on the Left, or when 5 police officers were murdered by a member of Black Lives Matters. The sick MSM took the opportunity this weekend to call President Trump and in turn all who voted for him as racists too. REALLY? The LEFT and the Attack Trump media took this tragic event as an opportunity to spread their own division and hate. It is bad enough we have this kind of evil, hate and ignorance in America, do we really need the MSM fanning the flames and calling hard working, law abiding citizens who they agree with racists too?

Oh the hypocrisy of the LEFT and the  MSM … isn’t it them who remind us all the time that radical Islam is not Islam? We are constantly told that Islam is a religion of peace every time there is a terrorist event and that all Muslims should not be held responsible for the actions of the radical, extremist few. So what’s the difference? Nope, not when it comes to racism, some how the acts of white supremacists some how reflect the President and all whites who voted for him. REALLY?

Or what about the Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer who opened fire yesterday in Alexandria, Va on Republican Congressman as they practiced baseball for an upcoming charity baseball game? Weren’t we told this was not a reflection of all of the LEFT? We were told by Sen. Sanders that he condemned these actions. Hell, this guy volunteered for his campaign and we give the LEFT and Sanders a pass. But oh no, not when the vile MSM and their sick divisive agenda is at work.
