Howard Dean Opposes Mosque Says, “It’s an Afront to People Who Lost Their Lives” ” … Democrats Part from Obama
What was that President Barack Hussein Obama … it was Howard Dean driving the bus over top of you.
YIKES … Howard Dean, the former chairman of the DNC has come out against the building of the mosque near Ground Zero and called it, “a real affront to people who lost their lives”
Calling for compromise, Dean said on WABC radio today the mosque plan “a real affront to people who lost their lives” and laments Islam’s being “in the 12th century” in Iran and some other Muslim countries.
He also says he believes the Cordoba organizers are in good faith, and that their project should be built elsewhere.
Howard Dean, the voice of reason for Democrats? Are you serious? Dean called for a compromise and stated that the mosque should be built elsewhere.
How is it that Barack Obama cannot act as a statesman and look for a common solution of compromise for this volatile issue, instead of just fanning the flames? One really has to ask them self what is Obama’s agenda? The Democrats are in disarray on the mosque issue as the Gateway Pundit stated, Dean just drop kicked Obama and Pelosi under the bus.
How fractured are Democrats leading into the 2010 midterm elections? Howard Dean, unlike Barack Obama, is not back tracking on his words a day later. Even to the likes of Howard Dean, he realizes that there must be a compromise for any so-called bridge to Muslim/Christian tolerance because the mosque is an affront to those that died on 9-11. How is it that the President does not have a similar, rational point of view?
In an interview late Wednesday, former DNC Chair Howard Dean reiterated his belief that the controversial “Ground Zero” mosque should be re-located, arguing that critics of his position were “guilty of” the same type of absolutism on the issue that they’ve accused Republicans of harboring.
The former Governor of Vermont told the Huffington Post that he “stood by” the remarks he had made earlier in the day on WABC radio in which he called the mosque plan “a real affront to people who lost their lives [on 9/11].” But in a clarification of sorts, he stressed that he would not have a problem if the proposed Islamic cultural center ultimately ended up being built in the current location.
The MSMcontinues there masquerade of religious tolerance and the “mosque must be built”.

Is the Controversial Mosque on the Move Away from Ground Zero? (UPDATE: Nope, Developers Refuse)
It is being reported that the mosque that is supposed to be built near Ground Zero might be on the move. Discussions are to take place as to a possible compromise location for the mosque away from the close proximity of Ground Zero. I must say, I am a bit skeptical as well of such a compromise as there was a purpose behind building this mosque so close to Ground Zero in the first place.
However, who would have ever imagined that President Obama would take leadership classes from NY Governor David Paterson? Obama messes up the mosque controversy and makes the matter worse while Gov. Paterson actually looks for compromise solutions … in a word for Barack Hussein Obama, nice leadership.
Paterson (rt), Obama (left) … who’s the statesman?
There was a possible resolution in the works in the debate surrounding the proposed mosque and Islamic cultural center near ground zero.
CBS 2?s Marcia Kramer has learned it looks as if the developers of the mosque may be willing to budge and move away from the Park 51 location where they originally planned the construction.
So will the mosque be moving?
New York Gov. David Paterson plans to meet with developers of the controversial Ground Zero mosque as early as this week to offer them state land – at another location – for their cultural and religious center. Paterson told Congressman Peter King about the meeting, and King said the governor asked him to make it public.

Mosque near Ground Zero: HAMAS Leader Mahmoud al-Zahar Says ‘Have to build it’ … Agrees with President Obama
Hamas and Obama agree that is is ok to “build it”. Who ever thought we would see the day where a US President and Hamas agreed on the same issue?
Hamas did endorse Obama in 2008
A leader of the terror group Hamas seems to agree with US Preisent Barack “Hussein” Obama on the building of a mosque near Ground Zero. Nice, we have a US President actually agreeing with Hamas on issues. So what say Democrats, do you agree with Hamas as well? Hmm? Are Democrats going to go against the majority of the will of the American people who say, although they have the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero, it is in no way right or proper to do so. Isn’t this amazing that we have a US President now agreeing with “terror organizations” rather than the will of the American people. A group that is deemed a terror group by the United States State department. UNBELIEVABLE!
A leader of the Hamas terror group yesterday jumped into the emotional debate on the plan to construct a mosque near Ground Zero — insisting Muslims “have to build” it there.
“We have to build everywhere,”said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and the organization’s chief on the Gaza Strip.
“In every area we have, [as] Muslim[s], we have to pray, and this mosque is the only site of prayer,” he said on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on WABC.
Where are the coward Democrats who refuse to respond to the mosque being built near Ground Zero? It is no longer a local issue, President Barck Hussein Obama saw fit to make it a national issue by discussing it Friday night.
Just as an aside, Obama has claimed that he was not speaking as to whether it was right to build the mosque near Ground Zero, but instead that they had the freedom of religion right to do so through the purchase of private property. Just curious Mr. Obama, if you believe that philosophy then you would also believe that it was ok for Muslims to build o mosque on Ground Zero as well. Answer the question Mr. President!
Democrats and Obama, think the mosque near Ground Zero is not going to be a political issue in 2010 and 2012 … think again!

Democrats Outraged Over Obama’s Comments on Mosque at Ground Zero in NYC
Barack Obama. Lost in Smallness, once again Barack Hussein Obama proves to be “TOXIC” to Democrats. Who said Obama was a “Great Communicator”?
No sooner did the words come out of PresidentBarack Hussein Obama’s mouth Friday night at a White House dinner honoring the beginning of the the Islamic Holy month Of Ramadan, where ”The One” supported the right for a mosque to be built near Ground Zero in NYC, that the outrage from Republicans and more notably Democrats ensued. Democrats are now outraged and concerned that Obama’s mosque comments have now forced them into the national political debate over a mosque being built near Ground Zero. Democrats must now defend how a President agrees with only 20% of the American people.
Drip, drip, drip … Obama may just have cost Democrats more seats in the House , Senate and Governor’s races.
Obama’s comments placed him in the middle of the controversy over a Muslim group’s plans for a mosque near the site of the 2001 attack — and in turn, transformed an emotion-laden local dispute in New York into a nationwide debate overnight.
And Democrats — at least some who were willing to comment — could barely contain their frustration over Obama’s remarks, saying he had potentially placed every one of their candidates into the middle of the debate by giving GOP candidates a chance to ask them point-blank: Do you agree with Obama on the mosque, or not?
That could be particularly damaging to moderate Democrats in conservative-leaning districts, already 2010’s most vulnerable contenders.
Barack Obama then contradicted himself from Friday nights comments by saying he was only commenting on the right to build a mosque, not the wisdom in doing so. Really, were not we told that Barack Hussein Obama was a great communicator and orator like Reagan and Lincoln? Without a prepared speech or teleprompter, seems like this President is a lost soul. As NROpoints out, Obama’s mosque comments may be the dumbest thing ever said since Dukakis and flag burning.
But on Saturday, Obama seemed to contradict himself, telling reporters at one point, “I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding. That’s what our country is about. And I think it’s very important as difficult as some of these issues are that we stay focused on who we are as a people and what our values are all about.”
Teachable moment? For who, Obama? US Rep Martin Frost (TX-D) was not at a lost for words discussing Obama and his ill advised comments. Democrats must now defend Obama’s mosque comments which will not play well in the midterm elections.
“I would prefer the president be a little more of a politician and a little less of a college professor,” former Rep. Martin Frost (D-Texas), who once ran the House Democratic campaign arm, wrote in POLITICO’s Arena. “While a defensible position, it will not play well in the parts of the country where Democrats need the most help.”
UPDATE I: Can this message from Obama get any worse or more confusing? Obama says his comments are not an endorsement of the mosque. A second clarification has been served up from the Obama gang Who Could Not Shoot Straight, to make a clarification of the clarification of the Obama mosque comments. Great Communicator, eh? Usually when one needs to begin a press briefing by stating, “just to be clear”, there is no clarity.
That impromptu answer to a TV reporter covering his trip to Florida prompted a second attempt to clarify his initial statement, this time from spokesman Bill Burton.
“Just to be clear, the president is not backing off in any way from the comments he made last night,” Burton said. “It is not his role as president to pass judgment on every local project. But it is his responsibility to stand up for the Constitutional principle of religious freedom and equal treatment for all Americans. What he said last night, and reaffirmed today, is that if a church, a synagogue or a Hindu temple can be built on a site, you simply cannot deny that right to those who want to build a mosque.”
White House officials later said that Obama was simply saying that since there was no local ordinance that would prevent construction of the mosque, he believed local officials made the right decision to allow it to go forward.
