Three Thugs Get a Surprise When they Targeted What They Thought was a Defensless Woman … Until She Pulled Out her .38 Revolver

HERO OF THE DAY … Shirley Roberts. 

She said no to crime and protected herself with her .38 revolver. Yet another example of how restrictive gun laws are just so wrong.

Talk about appearances can be deceiving. As reported at KMBC, woman’s husband had just left their Kansas City home in the 10600 block of Greenwood Road to get an oil change when Shirley Roberts heard someone jiggle the knob of the front door. The woman also she saw two other men heading to the back door. The three thugs thought they had scoped out an easy mark as they looked to rob the, what they thought, defenseless woman. They could not have been more wrong, thankfully. Shirley Roberts, who had been recently going to the shooting range to practice, whipped out her .38 revolver and started shooting at the would be thugs protecting herself. The police later arrested three individuals after they came to Research Medical Center. One of the men was treated for a gunshot wound to his chest. Hmm, wonder if it was covered by Obamacare?

The woman said she peered through the blinds and saw the men putting on gloves and raising their feet to try to kick their way through the sliding glass doors. She said she pulled the trigger and fired straight ahead.

The woman said the men ran off, firing shots toward the house.

The woman’s husband, Oscar Roberts, said they’ve been to a shooting range to practice what to do in case something like this happened.

This is just yet another example of how those who want to restrict guns and call for gun control from “We the People” are so wrong and misguided. A .38 revolver is the ultimate equalizer. One 52 year old woman was able to fend off three thugs and incapacitate them to the point where they would later be arrested by police. What would have happened if she was not allowed to own a gun? She would have been a victim.

A group of thugs figured it would be easy to overpower one Kansas City woman. After all, her husband had just left to run an errand, leaving her all alone in the home.

They couldn’t have been more wrong.

The woman, later identified as Shirley Roberts, 52, immediately retrieved her gun after she heard someone jiggle the knob of the front door. She also witnessed two additional men heading to the back door.

Looking through the blinds, Roberts saw the men putting on gloves and preparing to force their way into her home. So she trained her firearm on the men and opened fire.

CBS2 in New York reports that a man was arrested and lead out of his Queens home in handcuffs in front of his wife and children. Talk about your complete overreaction but liberal adults.

What was his crime that the Queens man was made to do a perp walk?

1. Explode 2 bombs during the end of a marathon killing 3 and wounding 100′s?
2. Hold captive 3 girls for 10 years and make them sex slaves?
3. Shoot a plastic toy gun that could not have harmed anyone?

One has to listen to the libs interviewed in the video below. These people could care less that the gun was a plastic toy. It was a gun and someone had to be arrested. Simply unbelievable. If having a plastic toy gun and shooting it in public was a crime, I would have been on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List as a child.

If you guessed #3, you got it right. I guess its a good thing he did not have a “Big Gulp” with him and a salt shaker, in NYC they may have put him away for live with as ridiculous as the city have become.

As CBS 2’s Dave Carlin reported, Jack Pawlowski was led out of his Queens home in handcuffs Wednesday, with his stunned wife and three young kids looking on. He said nothing as detectives put him into a squad car.

But earlier, he allowed CBS 2 up to the family’s apartment to get a video of what he calls the harmless “kids’ toys” that started it all.

What happened to the country I was born in? How can a country with a 2nd Amendment right to bear arms have such laws? Not only cannot individuals have guns, it would appear they can’t have toy ones either. I guess these liberal fools think some one will shoot their eye out.

New York already has some of the toughest gun laws in the nation. The SAFE Act, signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, places a boatload of restrictions on New Yorkers who own or seek to own guns, including toy guns, which are permissible provided the gun has bright a orange tip at the end of the barrel. Today Barack Hussein Obama blames the gun violence in Mexico on the United States, while in Mexico pandering to the Mexicans. UNREAL. Obama stated, “Most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States.” Gee Mr. President go you mean like your programs like “Fast & Furious”? After all Mr. President, who was it that was running guns to Mexican drug cartels that resulted in the death of American border guards and the deaths of many innocent Mexicans? Oh that’s right, it was you and Eric Holder.

When will this president stop apologizing for America and blaming it for all of the evils of the world? At some point one has to wonder whether Obama even likes America. At the UK Telegraph they ask, Will Barack Obama ever stop apologizing for America? Because the violence in Mexico could have nothing to do with the drug cartels and a corrupt government, right?

Is there no end to the apologies that President Obama has made for his own country? Instead of blaming America, Obama should have called on the Mexican government to do far more to deal with the drug gangs and the rampant lawlessness, which is spilling over the border into the United States. Why not praise the courageous work of US law enforcement agents fighting bravely against Mexican drug cartels?

And as president, I swore an oath to uphold that right, and I always will.”

“But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people. That can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It’s the right thing to do,” Obama added.

Just curious, if a liberal anti-Second Amendment rally takes place and no one shows, is it really a rally? Thus was the case any the liberal anti-NRA march failed event at McPherson Square Downtown Washington, DC. Less than 100 people actually showed up for the event. It is being reported at CBS News, MIT officer Sean Collier was murdered because the two Islamist Terrorist Tsarnaev Brothers needed another gun. However, after they killed officer Collier they were unable to unholster his weapon. What, you mean those with evil intent did not want to take the time to fill out the necessary paperwork and pass a background check like Democrats and Obama wanted to inflict on law abiding citizens?
