This is Hardly a Surprise … Red States’ Income Growing Faster than Blue States’
The choice is yours America, do you want your economic growth to be like a “Red” or “Blue” state?
Let this be a reminder to those in 2012 swing state/battle ground states, Independents and open-minded and concerned Democrats, as reported in USA Toady, Red state’ incomes are growing faster than that of Blue states’. What is most interesting is that when averaged nationally, the robust gains in red states and meager gains in blue states produced a national growth rate remarkably similar to that in the swing states. This is what would be called a trend America. there is a reason why Red states are doing better than the big government, union controlled, high tax blue states. As also stated at The Blaze, “Gee, maybe there’s something to be said about this ‘limited government’ & ‘free market’ stuff, huh?” A note to those in swing states in 2012 … what would you want your state ti be in the next four years, like a red state or blue? The choice is yours in November 2012.
The income of those living in red states has climbed 4.6% since the recession began in December 2007, a USA TODAY analysis of total increases found. The average income of those living in blue states and swing states saw a much slower increase. The personal income of blue states has increased 0.5%, while in the swing states, income increased 1.4%.
Contrary to Obama’s comments, it looks like there is a difference between a Red state America and a Blue state America. Even though a President is supposed to be President of all America, it is obvious what works economically and it ain’t big government, Nanny states.
Income is growing much faster in Republican-leaning “red states” than in Democratic-tilting “blue states” or the pivotal swing states that will decide the 2012 presidential election, a USA TODAY analysis finds.
Personal income in 23 red states has risen 4.6% since the recession began in December 2007, after adjusting for inflation. Income is up just 0.5% in 15 blue states and Washington, D.C., during that time. In the dozen swing states identified by USA TODAY that could vote either way Nov. 6, income has inched ahead 1.4% in 4 ½ years.
Key swing state findings:
•Declines. Four of the 10 slowest growing are swing states: New Hampshire, Michigan, Florida and Nevada. The Silver State’s income plunge is in a class of its own, down 10.8% because of its real estate collapse.
•Gains. Eight of the top 10 states in income growth lean Republican.
What more does it take for Americans to realize what direction America needs to go in 2012? How much data, how many obvious signs and indicators do Independents and open minded Americans who are concerned with the future of the United States need to rescue our country?
Week 2: Chicago Teachers Strike Contnues, Mayor Emanuel Turning to the Courts to End Strike … The Children (the Pawns) the Real Losers
Who honestly feels sorry for teachers who make on average$76,000 and offered 16% pay raise over next 4 years? These jokers actually wanted a 30% raise and no performance evaluation. Like anyone in America gets such a deal, especially during these difficult economic times. All this while the Chicago public schools are failing the children.
The Chicago teachers strike enters week two as they balk on the offer presented to them and Mayor Rahm Emanuel takes to the courts to force an end to the strike. Some thing must be done to end this fiasco and disgrace. It has become obvious that the teachers union cares little for the pawns, I mean the children. They waited until school started to try this power play? Mayor Emanuel announced in a statement that he’s asked city lawyers to file an injunction in circuit court to “immediately end this strike.”
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is turning to the courts to try to put an end to a teachers strike that’s entering its second week and has left parents scrambling to make alternative child care arrangements for at least two more days.
The union and school leaders seemed headed toward a resolution at the end of last week, saying they were optimistic students in the nation’s third-largest school district would be back in class by Monday. But teachers uncomfortable with a tentative contract offer decided Sunday to remain on strike, saying they needed more time to review a complicated proposal.
More from CNN on the Teachers Strike. The Lonely Conservative weighs in and states, “the Chicago Teachers Union don’t even seem to be pretending it’s about the children anymore.” Honestly, they never did.
He contended the strike is illegal because “it is over issues that are deemed by state law to be nonstrikable, and it endangers the health and safety of our children.”
Teachers in Chicago, the nation’s third-largest school system, are among the highest paid in the country. The strike has drawn national attention as the teachers negotiate over the length of the school day, object to their evaluations being tied to performance and fret about job loss from school closings.
Parents of the 35,000 students in the school system have already juggled schedules for a week, trying to make sure their children are looked after.
EXIT QUESTION: Who finds it ironic that Democrats are fighting with the teachers unions and getting a taste of their own medicine? After pandering to public unions and supporting them for campaign funds, a Democrat mayor is now getting his just deserts. BTW, where is Obama on this issue, does he not care about the Chicago school children?

Public school Teachers Strike in Chicago Strike for the First Time in 25 Years, What About the Children, 400K Students Affected?
What ever happened to Barack Obama’s shared sacrifice? I guess the public schools teacher union did not get that memo in Chicago.
For the first time in 25 years the Chicago Teachers Union, CTU, has gone out on strike in the city of Chicago affecting 675 public schools and 400,000 students. However, the city’s 118 charter schools are not affected by a strike. When Democrats attack Democrats. This should be interesting to see how Democrat Mayor an former Obama Cabinet member Rahm Emanuel deals with this issue.
Rahm says cut back, we say fight back,” picketers chanted this morning outside Chicago Public Schools headquarters.
Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis announced late Sunday night that weekend talks had failed to resolve all the union’s issues. “We have failed to reach an agreement that will prevent a labor strike,” she said. “No CTU members will be inside of our schools Monday.”
Teachers want a 16% pay raise across the board over the next 4 years. Wow, I bet a lot of Americans would like this type of guarantee whether they did their job or not. There is just one problem, they are already operating at a $1 billion deficit.
The school board’s last offer included a three percent raise the first year and two percent raises the next three years — a slight increase from an earlier offer of two percent raises in each of the next four years.
The package, which would cost $400 million, keeps increases for experience and credentials with some modifications.
Vitale said the contract amounted to a 16 percent raise over four years for the average teacher when factoring other increases. And the raises could not be rescinded for lack of funds — which is what happened this past school year, angering teachers and helping to set the stage for Monday’s strike.
“This is not a small commitment we’re making at a time when your fiscal situation is really challenged,” Vitale said. A $1 billion deficit awaits the system at the end of this school year, officials have estimated. And the district drained its reserve funds to plug this year’s budget.

The Crying Game … Lefty Wingnut Cries Like a Baby to CNN After Huge Union Loss in Wisconsin Recall Election Loss to Gov. Scott Walker … “Democracy Died Tonight”
Didn’t anyone tell the Left moonbats in Wisconsin that there is No Crying in Recall Elections?
Check out the VIDEO below of the liberal emotional meltdown from The Blaze. Wow, after so this is the death of Democracy, eh? You mean the fact that the Left, Democrats and labor unions lost to Gov. Scott Walker in 2010 and then did so again in 2012 by an even larger margin? Dude, as Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch said last night, “This is what democracy looks like”. The people of Wisconsin have spoke not once, but twice.
This is a must see Video … cry me a river!
The Left and labor unions over-reached in a big way and got burned. There should never shave been a recall election. All the unions and the poor sport Leftist Democrats did was cost the Wisconsin tax payers money. To what purpose, because they did not agree with Walker? Sorry, but elections have consequences. An overwhelming majority of Wisconsinites believe that recall elections should be reserved to corruption and major misconduct by politicians, not when a party cops an attitude because they lost.
So why is the dude crying above, because labor unions lost in a major way.The weepy man above might want to recalculate the amount that unions poured into the recall election. According to The Hill it was $10 million.
Organized labor suffered a crushing blow with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) victory in Tuesday’s recall, a possible sign of their fading power and a worrying result for union supporters ahead of November’s election.
“They picked a fight they weren’t able to win,” said Gary Chaison, a labor expert at Clark University. “This shows them at their weakest. They’ll try to put a happy face on this but this is nothing less than a calamity for them.”
Unions combined to spend more than $10 million on the race and were the driving force behind the recall effort. But even in Wisconsin, long a bastion for organized labor and the birthplace of public employee unions, they couldn’t defeat a governor whose defining achievement was stripping public workers of their collective bargaining rights

Rasmussen: Wisconsin Governor Recall Election Poll: Scott Walker 50%, Barrett 45%
Is the tide changing in Wisconsin with regards to the recall vote of embattled Governor Scott Walker? Have the unions and Democrats overplayed their hand? According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, Gov. Walker leads Democrat challenger Barrett, 50% to 45%. In an April 2012 poll 52% supported the recall of Walker; however, there appears to be a trend in just the opposite direction.
Embattled Republican Governor Scott Walker holds a five-point lead over his newly nominated Democratic challenger Tom Barrett in Wisconsin’s special recall election.
A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey shows that 50% of the state’s Likely Voters prefer Walker while 45% choose Barrett. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate and another two percent (2%) are undecided.
Also as reported at The Weekly Standard, Public Policy Polling, a Democratic firm, found the exact same results (Walker 50%, Barrett 45%) when it polled the Wisconsin recall race in April [...] but the good news for Walker is that he has an 8-point lead among independent voters.
Wisconsin Democrats have nominated Barrett to face Walker in the June 5 recall vote. This race is going to be an important indicator for the 2012 elections. Do unions still have any strength in a potential battleground state and who will win, the GOP or Democrats, in a battleground state heading into the November 2012 U.S. presidential elections? Look for polls to shift following this recall vote.
