Andrey G. Karlov, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Is Assassinated in Ankara (VIDEO)
Russian Ambassador to Turkey Is Assassinated by man shouting, “Don’t forget Aleppo and “Allahu akbar”.
A gunman, wearing a dark suit and tie, shot and killed the Russian Ambassador to Turkey at an art gallery yesterday in Ankara, Turkey. In the video below, the assassin can be seen waving a pistol and shouting in Arabic: “God is great! Those who pledged allegiance to Muhammad for jihad. God is great!” He then switched to Turkish and shouted: “Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria! Step back! Step back! Only death can take me from here.” The terrorist was identified as 22-year-old Mevlut Mert Altintas, an off duty Turkish policeman. He was later shot dead by Turkish authorities.
Russia’s ambassador to Turkey was assassinated at an Ankara art exhibit on Monday evening by a lone Turkish gunman shouting “God is great!” and “don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria!” in what the leaders of Turkey and Russia called a provocative terrorist attack.
The gunman, described by Turkish officials as a 22-year-old off-duty police officer, also wounded at least three others in the assault on the envoy, Andrey G. Karlov, which was captured on video. Turkish officials said the assailant was killed by other officers in a shootout.
The assassination, an embarrassing security failure in the Turkish capital, forced Turkey and Russia to confront a new crisis tied directly to the Syrian conflict, now in its sixth year.
The longer-term implications for the Russia-Turkey relationship, which had been warming recently after plunging a year ago, were not immediately clear. But some analysts played down the notion that the assassination would lead to a new rupture, saying it could conversely bring the countries closer together in a shared fight against terrorism.
President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia said on Russian television that Mr. Karlov had been “despicably killed” to sabotage ties with Turkey. Mr. Putin spoke with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, by phone, and the two leaders agreed to cooperate in investigating the killing, and in combating terrorism broadly.
In typical Barack Obama fashion, Obama headed off to the golf course after receiving reports on Berlin attack and Russian Ambassador’s death. UNREAL. I would say this is bad optics; however, Obama has never cared about putting tragic events ahead of his golf game. It will be a pleasant change to no longer have to put up with this nonsense.

Knife/Vehicle Attack at The Ohio State University … Many Injured, Somali-born Suspect Shot Dead … Looks Like Islamic Terrorism … Update: Suspect ID’d as Abdul Razak Ali Artan
LOOKS LIKE AN ISIS INSPIRED TERROR ATTACK AT OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY …
An active shooter alert issued at Ohio St. University … RUN, HIDE, FIGHT! Police are investigating a possible terror attack at The Ohio State University. A Somali-born Ohio State University student plowed his car into a group of pedestrians on campus and then got out and began stabbing people with a butcher knife Monday morning. The suspect was shot to death by a police officer before he could do more harm. Ohio State University police Chief Craig Stone said the assailant deliberately drove his small Honda over a curb outside an engineering classroom building and then began knifing people.
A Somali-born Ohio State University student plowed his car into a group of pedestrians on campus and then got out and began stabbing people with a butcher knife Monday before he was shot to death by a police officer. Police said they were investigating whether it was a terrorist attack.
Eleven people were hurt, one critically.
The attacker was identified as Abdul Razak Ali Artan. He was born in Somalia and was a legal permanent U.S. resident, according to a U.S. official who wasn’t authorized to discuss the case and spoke on the condition of anonymity. The FBI joined the investigation.
The details emerged after a morning of conflicting reports and confusion, created in part by a series of tweets from the university warning there was an “active shooter” on campus and students should “Run Hide Fight.” The warning was prompted by what turned out to be police gunfire.
UPDATE I: Suspect identified as 18 year old OSU student, Abdul Razak Ali Artan.
Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 18, wrote on what appears to be his Facebook page that he had reached a “boiling point,” made a reference to “lone wolf attacks” and cited radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki.”
America! Stop interfering with other countries, especially Muslim Ummah [community]. We are not weak. We are not weak, remember that,” the post said.
UPDATE II: What do we know about Abdul Razak Ali Artan.
Artan, a student at OSU, was shot dead by a police officer after he plowed his vehicle into a crowd of people on campus and then started hacking people with a butcher knife, OSU Police Chief Craig Stone said. Ten people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals.
Speaking to CNN on Monday, one witness claimed the attacker was “completely silent” as he stabbed innocent people. The witness said Artan remained silent, “even when he was shot.”
“This was done on purpose,” Stone said.
Artan reportedly left Somalia with his family as a refugee and relocated to Pakistan in 2007. He then came to the United States in 2014 as a legal permanent resident, according to officials.
Police had yet to identify a motive in the attack, but law enforcement officials told NBC News that Artan posted a “rant” on social media beforehand.
UPDATE III: Praise to hero Officer Alan Horujko for acting swiftly and saving lives.
The @OSUPolice confirm Officer Alan Horujko shot and killed the suspect, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, Monday morning.
Officer Alan Horujko is being hailed as a hero after firing the shot that killed a man who hit a group of pedestrians with his car on OSU’s campus before stabbing at the victims with a knife.
The emergency dispatch center got a call of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian at 9:52 a.m. and Horujko was able to respond shortly after.
Horujko engaged the suspect, now being identified as 18-year-old Abdul Razak Ali Artan, shot and killed him.
4. Community thanks for his quick reaction
Monica Moll said in a news conference that Horujko “did a fabulous job” in ending the threat quickly and effectively, according to a Tweet from Ohio State A&P.
The university’s Emergency Management department’s Facebook praised Horujko for his service, parents, students and other members of the community began speaking up.
Facebook user Meaghan Marie wrote in the comments of the post, “Thank you for your amazing service and quick response and stopping what could have been a much worse incident. Praying for all of the victims and those who still have to recover. You are an absolute hero!!”
Another user, Deb DeRossett Silvers commented: “My son is an OSU student who was close to the attack area. Thank you, so much, for the brave and heroic work you do and the quick action you took today. God bless.”

TRUMP Destroys Hillary on Clinton Pay for Play Foundation and Challenges Hillary to Return Money From Nations Abusive to Women and Gays (VIDEO)
TRUMP DESTROYS CLINTON ON CLINTON FOUNDATION PAY FOR PLAY AND HILLARY’S TAKING MONIES FROM COUNTRIES ABUSIVE TO WOMEN AND GAYS …
During last night’s third and final 2016 Presidential debate, Fox News moderator Chris Wallace asked Hillary Clinton a tough and direct question regarding The Clinton Foundation and the perceived pay for play that took place when Clinton was Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton did not answer the question. She just flat out ignored the question and gushed over what the Foundation did. Donald Trump then pounced on Hillary and the monies she has taken from nations that are abusive to women and gays. Trump asked Hillary to return the money. Of course there is no chance in hell that Hillary would ever do such a thing, yet she claims to be the champion of women and gays. Hillary Clinton had no response to the question of returning the money and was left with that that uncomfortable goofy smile. Would not it be the honrable thing to return monies to countries that abuse women and kill gays? Then again, we used the word honorable.
They kill women and treat women horribly, and yet you take their money.”
“So I would like to ask you right now,” he continued. “Why don’t you give back the money that you have taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly? Why don’t you give back the money?
BTW … what the hell was up with Clinton in laughing and that bizarro, dopey grin (see video 0:32) she get when Trump mentioned that “these are people that push gays off buildings?” Laughing and that inappropriate, goofy smile?
Wallace: In this bucket about fitness to be president there’s been a lot of developments over the last ten days since the last debate. I’d like to ask you about them. These are questions that the American people have. Secretary Clinton, during your 2009 Senate confirmation hearing you promised to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest with your dealing with the Clinton Foundation while you were secretary of state, but e-mails show that donors got special access to you, those seeking grants for Haiti relief separately from non-donors and some of those donors got contracts, government contracts, taxpayer money. Can you really say you’ve kept your pledge to that Senate committee and why isn’t what happened and what went on and between you and the Clinton Foundation? Why isn’t it what Mr. Trump calls pay-to-play?
Clinton: Well, everything I did as secretary of state was in furtherance of our country’s interests and our values. The state department has said that. I think that’s been proven, but I am happy — in fact, I’m thrilled to talk about the Clinton Foundation because it is a world renowned charity and I’m so proud of the work that it does. I could talk for the rest of the debate. I know I don’t have the time to do that, but just briefly the Clinton Foundation made it possible for 11 million people around the world with HIV AIDS to afford treatment and that’s about half of all the people in the world that are getting treatment in partnership with the American health association.
Wallace: Secretary Clinton, respectfully, this is an open discussion.
Clinton: Well, it is an open discussion.
Wallace:The specific question is about pay to play –
Clinton: There is a lot of evidence about the very good work –
Trump: And it’s a criminal enterprise –
Wallace: Please let Mr. Trump speak.
Trump: It’s a criminal enterprise. Saudi Arabia given $25 million, Qatar, all of these countries. You talk about women and women’s rights? So these are people that push gays off business, off buildings. These are people that kill women and treat women horribly and yet you take their money. So I’d like to ask you right now why don’t you give back the money that you’ve taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly? Why don’t you give back the money? I think it would be a great gesture because she takes a tremendous amount of money. And you take a look at the people of Haiti. I was in Little Haiti the other day in Florida, and I want to tell you they hate the Clintons because what’s happened in Haiti with the Clinton Foundation is a disgrace. And you know it and they know it and everybody knows it.

FBI Investigating if Fatal Plane Crash in East Hartford, CT Was Intentional Act of Terrorism
Hmm why would the FBI think that the plane crash was intention … the pilots name was Feras M. Freitekh.
The NY Times is reporting that the FBI is investigating whether the fatal small plane crash that occurred East Hartford, Connecticut on Tuesday was intentional. The pilot, Feras M. Freitekh, was a Jordanian national who first entered the US in 2012 on an M1 Visa as a student to fulfill a course of study for flight school. Hmm, doesn’t that sound familiar? The plane crashed near the gates of the Pratt & Whitney factory.
The F.B.I. is investigating whether the crash of a small plane in East Hartford, Conn., that killed a passenger on Tuesday was intentional, according to four federal law enforcement officials.
The pilot, who survived the crash, told investigators that it was not an accident. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing.
Officials identified the passenger as Feras M. Freitekh, 28. Public records show he had lived in Orland Hills, Ill., about 35 miles southwest of Chicago. Federal Aviation Administration records show he was issued a private pilot certificate on May 29, 2015, and was certified to fly a single-engine plane.
The F.A.A. said the Piper PA 34 crashed around 3:40 p.m. on Main Street as it was on a final approach to Hartford-Brainard Airport in Hartford. Mayor Marcia Leclerc of East Hartford said the plane took off from a flight school at the airport.
The police chief of East Hartford, Scott M. Sansom, said during a news conference that the police sought the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation because the plane went down near a Pratt & Whitney factory on Main Street, which he described as being “critical infrastructure.”
UPDATE I: One Dead, Pilot Hurt In Plane Crash; FBI Investigating Whether It Was Intentional.
Federal and state investigators who were gathering at the scene early Wednesday morning declined to comment.
The State Police Central District Crime Squad is processing the crime scene in East Hartford and detectives from the Fire and Explosion Investigations Unit also have been called into the investigation as have detectives assigned to the counterterrorism unit from the state police.
The New York Times identified the passenger on the plane as Feras M. Freitekh, age 28. Public record show he has lived in Orland Hills, Ill. since April of 2013. He holds a license to fly a single engine plane. Federal Aviation Administration records show he was issued a private pilot certificate on May 29, 2015, according to the Times.
The crash survivor told investigators that it was not an accident, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing, according to the Times.
A student and instructor were aboard the twin-engine aircraft when it took off from Hartford-Brainard Airport in Hartford, East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc said. The Federal Aviation Administration said the airplane was attempting to land at Brainard when the crash occurred near Main and Colt streets about 3:40 p.m.
The Piper PA-34 Seneca struck a utility pole and wires, knocking out power to the area, and was immediately engulfed in flames, witnesses said.
Barack Obama Has Tense Exchange With CNN’s Jake Tapper Over why he won’t say ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ After Asked By Gold Star Mom
HOW COULD AMERICA EVER ELECT A PRESIDENT TWICE THAT WAS SO WRONG ON TERRORISM …
Watch the video below and listen to Barack Obama’s twisted logic in answering the question as to why he does not use the term, ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’ It sounds more like he cares about not offending Muslims than he does identifying who our enemy is. By some how not saying radical Islamic terrorists that means that not all Muslimes are terrorists. Really? Actually, by stating our enemy is radical Islamic terrorists differentiates radical Islam from the rest of Islam. Then at the 5:50 mark of the video, Jake Tapper confronts Obama and it gets testy. The laugh line has to be when Obama says, I don’t want to interject partisan politics in this.” Are you kidding, that’s all Obama has done since he took office is to play partisan politics and divide this country.
The only thing Obama has unified anyone about was the bi-partisan over-ride of his veto on the 9-11 lawsuit bill.
President Barack Obama sparred with CNN host Jake Tapper on Wednesday night in a tense exchange over Obama’s refusal to use the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism.”
During a CNN town-hall event focusing on the US military, Gold Star mother Tina Houchins asked Obama why he wouldn’t use the term.
“The truth of the matter is that this is an issue that has been sort of manufactured, because there is no doubt, and I’ve said repeatedly that where we see terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda or ISIL, they have perverted and distorted and tried to claim the mantle of Islam for an excuse, for basically barbarism and death,” Obama said.
“These are people who kill children, kill Muslims, take sex slaves — there’s no religious rationale that would justify in any way any of the things that they do,” he added.
Obama later seemed to allude to Trump as he continued to answer Houchins’ question.
“I’ll just be honest with you: The dangers where we get loose in this language, particularly when a president or people aspiring to become president get loose with this language, you can see in some of the language that we use, in talking about Muslim-Americans here and the notion that somehow we’d start having religious tests in who can come in the country and who’s investigated and whether the Bill of Rights applies to them in the same way,” Obama said.
Trump has often said while campaigning that the US should administer some sort of test to immigrants to determine whether they have terrorist sympathies.
Tapper interjected to point out the allusion to Trump, and the exchange between him and Obama grew tense.
Here’s how it played out:
Tapper: Just to interject …
Obama: Yes?
Tapper: You were clearly talking about the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, just then. You think his …
Obama: No, I wasn’t. But …
Tapper: You weren’t?
Obama: No, I …
Tapper: Well, you just said …
Obama: I would just say this, Jake, because …
Tapper: … aspiring to this office …
Obama: No, but it’s not unique to the Republican nominee. And again, I’m trying to be careful. We’re on a military base. I don’t want to insert partisan politics into this. I think that there have been a number of public figures where you start hearing commentary that is dangerous because what it starts doing is it starts dividing us up as Americans.
