The Hypocrite in Chief … After Demonizing the Rich, President Obama only Pays Effective Tax Rate of 18.4% for 2012
THE LION LYING KING: There has been no greater hypocrite to ever grace the White House than President Barack Hussein Obama … The following is subtitles. Taxes for thee, not for me.
President Barack Obama is about class warfare, he is about dividing America and now he is about hypocrisy. During the 2012 Presidential campaign Obama railed on the 1%’ers and called all those rich people who paid less than their secretaries the evil rich. Obama harped on the so-called Buffett Rule, which would require millionaires to pay at least 30% of their income in taxes. Of course this came about because the evil rich were making most of their money from investments as opposed to income, that are taxed at a different rate. During the 2012 presidential election Obama played class warfare and went after his GOP opponent Mitt Romney who paid about 14% on his income. Obama made political hay lying to the American public and using the issue that ultra-rich Warren Buffett paid less in his tax rate than did his secretary. However, in 2011 the hypocrite that resides in the White House also paid a lower effective tax rate than his secretary.
What, You thought the 30% tax for the rich was meant for me?
Guess what, Obama is even more of a hypocrite in 2012 than he was in 2011.
According the WSJ, President Barack Obama paid an effective tax rate of only 18.4%. Yup America, that’s it. For all his whining, for all his rhetoric, for all his class warfare and the rich should pay 30% … OBAMA ONLY PAID 18%. I guess this is more of the shared sacrifice that Obama talks about. Obama tells other rich folks that they are evil because they pay a low tax effective rate, yet he takes advantage of the same deductions and loop holes that everyone else does. If he was a true leader and really had the convictions of his beliefs, he would have told his accountants not to take the deductions and make it that his effective rate came to 30% for 2012. However, he did not do so because like every liberal, he wants others to pay the money, not themselves.
President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama paid $112,214 in federal income taxes for 2012 on adjusted gross income of $608,611, an effective rate of 18.4%, the White House said.
The first family’s adjusted gross income—the amount after certain deductions and exemptions—was down from $789,674 the Obamas reported in 2011, when they paid total federal taxes of $162,074, an effective rate of 20.5%.
The decline was due primarily to falling royalties from sales of books Mr. Obama has written, according to tax returns released Friday. The president’s book-related earnings peaked in 2009 when he garnered about $5.6 million from two publications, “The Audacity of Hope” and “Dreams From My Father.” The royalties have fallen over time, to just under $274,000 in 2012.
The Obamas paid $29,450 in state income tax to Illinois for 2012.
Obama is truly a disgrace as President. Where is the MSM calling Obama out on his double standard hypocrisy? Personally, I do not believe in the “Buffett Rule”, but if one did and actually wanted to make it a law, one would think that they would lead by example. Not this president.
Joe Biden’s $459,388.65 Hotel Bill … As Americans Struggle to Maintain Roofs Over their Heads
Simple Unbelievable … Where is Biden’s sacrifice?
Imagine this, a bumbling idiot like VP Joe Biden gets to rack up$459,388.65 hotel bill at tax payers expense. It is just the latest example to show all of us just how wasteful Washington DC is with our hard earned money. So many Americans are struggling, are without jobs, have lost their homes and are on food stamps. But that does not stop politicians who tell us that we must sacrifice to do none of their own. At what point is enough, enough?
Hey Barack, can you believe these fools actually reelected us and actually believed we were for the middle class?
Vice President Biden and his entourage spent a little time in London in early February during his first foreign trip of the second term of the Obama administration. A document released today revealed that the cost of lodging in London alone was close to half a million dollars. The contract was awarded on January 30, 2013 to the Hyatt Regency London for a total of $459,388.65.

After 4 Years Senate Democrats Finally Passed A Budget Complete with a $1 Trillion Tax Hike
AFTER 4 YEARS SENATE DEMOCRATS PASS A BUDGET WITH $1 TRILLION IN TAX HIKES …
For the first time in four years the Democrat controlled US Senate has passed a budget. From the looks of it they shouldn’t have bothered. The budget plan was passed by a 50-49 vote in the Democratic-controlled chamber, with 4 Democratic senators facing tough re-election campaigns in 2014 joined all the Senate Republicans in opposing the measure. Max Baucus (D-MT), Mark Begich (D-AK), Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Mark Pryor (D-AR) all voted against the Democrat budget. It is just a coincidence that all four Democrats are up for reelection in 2014 “Red” states. Vulnerable Senate Democrats like Mary Landrieu (LA), Mark Warner (VA) and Tim Johnson (SD) should be made to pay a price in the 2014 elections for supporting the budget. Simply incredible, after four years of not doing their job, the budget that Democrats pass is chock full of new spending, taxes and a vote against actually balancing it. Oh wait, did we mention it just taxes, taxes and taxes?
The Senate Democrat passed budget bill contains $1 trillion in new tax hikes. The following is a list of all Senators up for reelection in 2014.
From The Hill:
Centrist Sens. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.), Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), Mark Begich (D-Alaska), Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Max Baucus (D-Mont.) were all non-committal up until the end.
Baucus, Begich, Hagan and Pryor joined the entire GOP caucus in voting against the budget resolution. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), who was ill, missed the vote. His office said he would have been available to vote if needed.
All the Democratic senators who voted “no” are up for reelection in 2014 in states that voted for GOP nominee Mitt Romney.
Democrats had been dogged by criticism for failing to approve a budget resolution since 2009 and the vote removes that GOP talking point from the political scene.
Yea’s On the Resolution (S. Con. Res. 8 ):
No wonder Senate Democrats had not passed a previous budget prior to Obama’s reelection. The Senate budget has a 0% chance of passing The House.

Sequester for Thee, Not for Me … Bo the Obama Dog Keeps His Motorcade, WH Calligraphers & Never Ending Air Force One Travel, But Children Prevented from Touring White House
Sequester for Thee, Not for Me …
Never has there been a president who cared less about the plight of the American people and acted more like King Louis the XVI’s than President Barack Hussein Obama. It is simple shameless that Barack Obama would inflict pain upon the American people through sequestration to make his childish point and attempt to score political points. Obama is the president who continually talks about shared sacrifice and that every ne must have skin in the game. One would think that he might start with himself and lead by example. That is what a leader would do. However, Obama is no leader. He is a community agitator whose sole job is to keep people at each others throats. Barack Obama is a petty president and it has never been witnessed more just how “small” he is than his threats of the end of times when sequestration took place and his efforts to make sure that “We the People” felt pain, rather than just making cuts that every responsible American has had to do in the past 4 years.
Iowa School children beg Obama to keep tours open. Had it been a Republican President, the MSM would have reported … Obama tells children to pound sand.
As the White House has stated that the tours will end and school children across America who had trips planned are SOL, all in the name of sequester cuts. However, sequestration has not stopped Barack Obama from going about his normal daily life. As government workers are furloughed, Obama tells tourists they can no longer visit the White House, Obama claims long lines will be experienced at airports and he lets illegal aliens loose in the US because of sequestration, one has to wonder what cuts Obama and the first family will feel? In the past, as reported at the Gateway Pundit via Business, Obama finds the money to take his motorcade with Bo, the first dog, to travel to PetSmart. Does anyone think that Obama will be losing his motorcade? How about less travel time on Air Force One?
The National Parks yearly budget for the White House visitors center is about $9 million or the cost to operate Air Force One for approximately 51 hours. But Obama supposedly cares about the children. BS! And of course the White House has no problem in keeping three calligraphers for a total if $277K a year.
Just curious, if Obama cannot handle 2.3% cuts from government programs without claiming that the sky will fall and such cuts would bring the end of times, how are we supposed to take him serious that he would reform entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and welfare and programs like Social Security?
UPDATE I: White House Taking No Actions Yet to Cut Back Its Budget.
While President Barack Obama has spent weeks warning of the dark consequences of across-the-board budget cuts, there’s one area of government where his staff has failed to calculate their impact: the White House itself.
Obama administration spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Thursday that “detailed decisions” have yet to be made about how the administration would meet a projected $24 million reduction to the executive office budget, which may include furloughs of presidential aides and other employees.
“I’m not going say that this person is going have to be furloughed today, if that hasn’t happened yet and we don’t know when that will happen specifically,” he said.
The law requires the executive office of the president, which has about 2,000 employees, to cut approximately $24 million out of its $711 million fiscal year 2013 budget request, according to a report by the White House Office of Management and Budget released the day the reductions came into effect.
Barack Obama, the Lying King: White House Econimic Adviser Gene Sperling Admits WH Proposed Sequester After Obama Lied About It in Debate
BARACK OBAMA, THE LION LYING KING: SEQUESTRATION EDITION …
Yesterday on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press,’ White House economic adviser Gene Sperling admitted that, yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama’s plan, even though Obama lied about it during the 2012 Presidential debates and more recently. Obama claimed that the sequester was not his idea and something he did not propose. Mr. President, YOU LIE!
“We put forth the design of” the sequestration, Sperling finally admits after a long back-and-forth
What is interesting is that the liberal MSM actually did pursue this story. Although it happens of rarely as Halley’s Comet, David Gregory did make Gene Sperling twist in the wind until he finally admitted that the sequestration was Barack Obama’s idea. Weasel Zippers asks, could there be some hope for the MSM to actually hold this administration accountable? Probably not, but anything is better than the nothing that we have observed for the past 4+ years. Which begs the question, what shape would the country be in and would have Obama ever been reelected, let alone elected if the MSM had done their job and held Obama’s feet to the fire?
From Ann Althouse comes the portion of the transcript regarding WOODWARDGATE:
DAVID GREGORY: Here was an e-mail from you to Bob Woodward that was released. In it: “I do truly believe you should rethink your comment about saying that the president asking for revenues is moving the goalpost. I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim.” When you said “you will regret staking out that claim,” what did you mean?
GENE SPERLING: I meant that, while the first issue of whose idea it was, the sequester, was one I disagreed with him on but I could see how honorable people could disagree. I was trying to explain to him, from a substantive point of view, that the idea that the president of the United States was moving the goalpost by asking for the type of balance of tax reform that raised revenues, that the Speaker Boehner himself, as you noted, had called for, as well as long-term entitlements, together, to get rid of the sequester, was not only not moving the goalpost: That was the whole idea of the sequester. And I think that e-mail was cordial. It was substantive. It was polite.
DAVID GREGORY: But you say, “You’re going to regret it.” I mean, does the president think that’s a good idea to say to reporters, to challenge them that, “You’re going to regret staking out that claim”?
