President Barack Obama Spends 51st Birthday, What Else … Golfing
President Barack Obama spent his 51st birthday, doing what else but golfing of course. This is nothing new and unusual, it will be Obama’s 104th round of golf since he became president as Obama played gold at Camp David. I am guessing that those Americans that are apart of the 8.3% and the 17% underemployment were kind of hoping that President Obama was actually going to keep his word that jobs were his number one priority. However, when Obama made fundraiser and golf a grater priority than meeting with his own Jobs Council, Americans probably think its time for change and Barack Obama can spend his next birthday no longer president.
Yup, I spend every waking hour fighting for you
In an email to supporters, Barack Obama warned that his birthday “could be the last one I celebrate as president of the United States, but that’s not up to me — it’s up to you.” Yes it is and its about time this country has a Commander in Chief and someone focused on the economy, not class warfare.

Garrett Reid, Son of Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid, Found Dead at Eagles Camp at Lehigh University
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid was noticeably absent from the start of the Eagles’ walk-through practice on Sunday morning. It was said that he had a personal issue. That was an understatement …
Garrett Reid, oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, was found dead in his bed at Lehigh University this morning. Garret Reid has had a history of drug abuse and had served jail time; however, had reportedly rebounded from his drug-troubled past and was assisting the Eagles’ strength coaches at camp. Lehigh University Chief of Police Edward Shupp confirmed that Garrett Reid’s body was found in his dorm room at training camp, following a 911 call placed at 7:20 a.m. ET. Shupp stated that there was no evidence of foul play and the coroner’s office has an investigation going.
Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman announced moments ago that Garrett Reid, the eldest son of Eagles coach Andy Reid, was found dead at training camp on Sunday morning.
“He’s been strong for us, we’re going to be strong for him right now,” Roseman said.
UPDATE I: Garrett Reid’s past issues with drugs. Did the demons intimately end his life?
The 29-year-old Reid struggled with drug abuse for years and was imprisoned for a 2007 high-speed car crash in which another driver was injured. Police found heroin, which Reid admitted to using, and more than 200 pills in his car. When he surrendered to begin serving his sentence in that case, prison guards found Reid had tried to smuggle prescription pills into jail.
Reid seemed to have rebounded from his problems in recent times and was assisting the Eagles’ strength coaches at camp. Many of the coaches and staff stay in the Lehigh dorms.
In the midst of his legal troubles in his early 20s, Reid said he ”got a thrill” out of being a drug dealer in a lower-income neighborhood just a few miles from his parents’ suburban Villanova mansion.
South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius Makes History as First Double Amputee to Compete in Olympics
South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius, the ‘Blade Runner’ makes history …
Today was truly an Olympic moment as South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius made history as the first double amputee to compete in the Olympic Games. Pistorius, known as the ‘Blade Runner’, said that the moment almost overwhelmed him after battling for so long to compete on the grandest state. He said, “I was so nervous this morning. I didn’t know whether to cry. I had a mixture of emotions. It was the most amazing experience, the crowd was amazing. I saw the South African flag.” However, Oscar Pistorius did not just come to start a race, he came to compete and win. Pistorius finished second in his prelim race and qualified for tomorrows semi-finals.
Oscar Pistorius, The Blade Runner, a true Olympic Hero
South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius made history on Saturday when he became the first double amputee to compete in an athletics event at the Olympics.
The 25-year-old qualified for the semi-finals of the 400 metres by running a season’s best of 45.44 seconds in finishing second.
Pistorius, who had both legs amputated below the knee before he was aged one, because of a congenital condition, runs on carbon fibre blades.
He is also due to run in the 4x400m relay at the Games.
Pistorius said the occasion had almost overwhelmed him, as he at last realized his dream after battling to convince the authorities to let him make it happen for several years.
Many think that his blades give him an advantage in running. Really? This may be a first time ever that a double amputee is said to have an advantage over athletes with both of their normal legs. Really people, are you listening to yourself? After watching Pistorius all I could think is how on earth did anyone actually try to black this guy from competing in the Olympics and how ashamed they should be of themselves. It is stories like this that make the Olympics the Olympics. Some one overcoming all odds to compete, medals be damned.
