Lance Armstrong Plans to Admit Drug Doping Throughout his Career in Interview Next week with Oprah
Is Lance Armstrong going to finally come clean?
Will Lance Armstrong finally admit the use of doping and the use of performance enhancing drugs? Anonymous sources are saying that the disgraced cyclists is going to do just that. In an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, Lance Armstrong plans on admitting to doping throughout his career; however, it is unknown just how far he will go and just how much he will admit to. Armstrong has been stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles and has been banned from cycling.
Is Lance Armstrong about to come clean on doping?
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Lance Armstrong plans to admit to doping throughout his career during an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, USA Today reported late Friday.
The interview, scheduled to be taped Monday and broadcast Thursday night on the Oprah Winfrey Network, will be conducted at Armstrong’s home in Austin, Texas.
Citing an anonymous source, USA Today reported that the disgraced cyclist plans to admit using performance-enhancing drugs, but likely will not get into details of the allegations outlined in a 2012 report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that led to Armstrong being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life from the sport.
The question remains, why finally admit to the use of PED now after 15 years of denials? Could it be that he thinks that it might get his ban reduced? But could this cause more damage to Armstrong than good with the lawsuits that still exist and the people who still believe in his image?
Last month, Armstrong met with Travis Tygart, chief executive of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, to begin discussing a way in which an admission from Armstrong could mitigate his punishment. Under the World Anti-Doping Code, athletes can receive up to a 75 percent reduction of a ban if they provide substantial assistance to antidoping authorities in building cases against other cheaters. For his ban to be reduced, though, Armstrong will have to give information about the people who helped him dope.
If Armstrong does confess, he is opening himself to more legal troubles than he has now. He has been named as a defendant in a federal whistle-blower case that contends that Armstrong and his associates on the United States Postal Service cycling team used taxpayer dollars to finance a systematic doping program. The government is considering joining that case as a plaintiff.
On a personal note, it is truly sad that some one who accomplished so much and brought so much attention to cancer by his come back as a cancer survivor turned out to be a fraud and a cheat. Then again, hitting 70 home runs is not normal either now, is it?

ESPN Apologizes for Brent Musburger’s Comments About Miss Alabama Katherine Webb During BCS Champ Broadcast … “You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. What a beautiful woman… Whoa!”
HOW ABSOLUTELY SILLY … So this is where a PC and all too often offended America has come to … we have to apologize for stating the obvious when a girl is beautiful, REALLY?
Ans the real winner of the 2012 BCS National Championship Game … Alabama Katherine Webb.
OK, Brent might have come close to crossing county lines, but he just barely avoided entering creepsville. America, some times we just have to laugh as I hardly believe long time sports announcer icon Brent Musberger meant anything malicious by his comments regarding Webb’s beauty. But that did not stop the overly sensitive and often offended libs at ESPN. ESPN has apologized for veteran sports announcer Brent Musberger’s comments during the BCS Championship game between the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. During the broadcast that needed some thing to keep people’s interest as the game was out of hand in the first 5 minutes, Musberger made comments regarding Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s rather beautiful girlfriend Katherine Webb. The Bama beauty is a 2011 Auburn graduate and Miss Alabama. Needless to say the video went viral.
“You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. What a beautiful woman… Whoa!”
However, on Tuesday, ESPN responded to the commentary with an apology:
“We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test. However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.”
Apologize? The 73 year old Musberger made Miss Webb an over night sensation and as Katherine Webb gains 175000 Twitter followers in one night. I think it goes to show just how bad this BCS National Championship game really was. No one is talking about Alabama’s dominate victory 42-14. Nor do they care that Notre Dame decided not to show up and was overwhelmingly over matched. All of the talk is about Katherine Webb. I hardly think that an apology is in order if the one who was being talked about did not mind the comments. Lighten up ESPN.
“It’s been actually kind of fun,” the 23-year-old model and Miss Alabama USA 2012 told The Associated Press.
“I just couldn’t believe it,” said Webb, who, according to her pageant biography, graduated with a business degree from Alabama rival Auburn University in 2011. “I was just in complete surprise.”
Dee Dee Bonner, McCarron’s mother, said the two laughed as Webb’s Twitter count grew.
“We were like, `Oh my God,”‘ Bonner said. “She said, `All I want to do is date your son.’ We’ve been laughing about it. It’s quite shocking.”

Note to ESPN … Katherine Webb is a beautiful young woman and a college grad … no apologies needed!
UPDATE I: Katherine Webb even came out and said that Musburger’s comments didn’t bother her.
“It was kind of nice,” she said. “I didn’t look at it as creepy at all. For a woman to be called beautiful, I don’t see how that’s an issue.”
Newsflash to ESPN … Miss Alabama Katherine Webb is beautiful and I am sure that many boys have taken Brent’s advice and put down their video games and started throwing the pigskin in the back yard. Sorry, but I could see another famed sports announcer Keith Jackson saying … “Whoa Nellie!!!”
If ESPN wants an apology, maybe they should ask one from the Golden Domer’s of Notre Dame for not bothering to show up for the BCS National Championship game and I am an ND fan.
EXIT QUESTION … Who was more offended, those that heard Musberger’s comments regarding Katherine Webb or Notre Dame’s play on the field and the obvios lack of coaching, preparation and a game plan for the BCS Championship?
UPDATE II: Yea, this was just so terrible what Brent Musberger did, that’s why Donald Tmp has now asked the Alabama beauty to be a judge for his Miss USA contest.

Jadeveon Clowney Hit Heard around the New Years Day Bowls … Clowney Crushes Michigan RB as South Carolina Wins 2013 Outback Bowl
HELLO … Jadeveon Clowney, he’s a bad man … This is what separates the SEC from the rest of the NCAA, the tremendous athletes on defense.
If you have not seen the hit yet, by all means check out the video below of Jadeveon Clowney’s hit heard around the New Years Day Bowls. Clowney, the South Carolina Gamecock DE not only made the hit of the New Years Day bowls, but the hit of the college football year. An unsuspecting University of Michigan Wolverine running back Vincent Smith took a hand-off and was immediately blown up by Clowney’s amazing hit.. The result, Smith’s helmet flew off and bounced nearly ten yards. Smith also fumbled the ball and Clowney recovered the ball at Michigan’s 31 yard line.
The play turned the game around. After a poor ref call on a Michigan fake punt, Clowney took matters into his own hands and jacked up the Wolverine RB and reghtfully giving the ball back to SC, who should have been given the ball on downs on the previous play. This set up the Gamecocks to score just one play later with a pass to Ace Sanders, giving the Gamecocks a five point lead. The 10th ranked Gamecocks would win 33-28 on a late TD pass with just 11 seconds left in the game to win the 2013 Outback Bowl.

Black Monday, 7 NFL Coaches Get Sacked For Lack Of Performance … US Voters Could Learn Something, Should Have Given Obama the Ax
BLACK MONDAY … How fitting that on the final day of 2012, seven NFL coaches also had their final day with their respective teams as they were fired. The ax came down in a decisive way in Arizona, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Kansas City and San Diego as the Cardinals, Eagles, Bills, Browns, Chiefs and Chargers are all looking for new head coaches for 2013. Some NFL franchises also fired their GM’s as well. Other spared their head coaches and fired coordinators instead. Of all the coaches below who were sacked, I am mildly surprised that Lovie Smith of the Bears was fired.
Arizona Cardinals: Coach Ken Whisenhunt and general manager Rod Graves are out, a team source told NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. The Cardinals later confirmed the moves.
Buffalo Bills: Coach Chan Gailey was let go after three seasons that went nowhere in Buffalo. The defense and quarterback play never improved. It’s unclear if general manager Buddy Nix will remain.
Chicago Bears: In the first mild surprise of the day, coach Lovie Smith was fired after three playoff appearances in nine years, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport first reported. General manager Phil Emery took the job last year and will hire his own man.
Cleveland Browns: The team announced Monday morning that coach Pat Shurmur and GM Tom Heckert are both out. They never had much of a chance once new owner Jimmy Haslam bought the team.
Kansas City Chiefs: Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced the Chiefs have parted ways with coach Romeo Crennel. The team said it has not made a final decision about GM Scott Pioli’s status. NFL.com’s Steve Wyche reported Sunday that the Chiefs are expected to retain Pioli despite a disastrous 2-14 season.
Philadelphia Eagles: Owner Jeffrey Lurie confirmed Monday morning that coach Andy Reid is out after 14 seasons in Philadelphia. The Eagles won’t waste any time starting a coaching search.San Diego Chargers: The Chargers announced both coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith have been let go. Former Green Bay Packers GM Ron Wolf has been brought in as a consultant to help search for the next leadership group.
Personally, I am a little surprised that the Jacksonville Jags, Dallas Cowboys and NY Jets did not fire their coaches. Jacksonville was the worst team in football, the Cowboys have floundered in mediocrity failing to make the playoffs year after year and Rex Ryan, head coach of the Jets is the most over-rated coach in football.
The American voters could learn a thing or two from the NFL. Coaches that do little to nothing in one, two or three years do not deserve any longer. If Barack Obama was an NFL football coach he would have been fired after 4 failed year. To compare Obama’s presidency to an NFL team, it would have been the equivalent of taking over an aging 4-12 team. After four years of failed draft picks [green energy companies] and disastrous and pricey free agents pick ups [trillion dollar deficit spending] and transforming the football operations for the worse, Obama would have a 6-10 team and still blaming the previous coach for his plight.
However, sadly for the United States we seem to take the hiring and firing of football coaches more seriously then the electing of a president.
NFL Will Observe a Moment of Silence at Games in Wake of Sandy Hook Elementary School Shootings … NY Giants Will Wear Initials S.H.E.S on Helmets
NFL to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shootings …
In the wake of the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that left 27 dead, including 20 school children, the NFL will observe a moment of silence at their home games prior the the American National Anthem in tribute to the lives lost in Newtown, CT. It is most certain that there will not be a dry eye in the house during that silence. The NY Giant players will wear the initials S.H.E.S. (Sandy Hook Elementary School) on their helmets in their game against the Atlanta Falcons.
All across America, its citizens have been shocked and horrified by the mass murder shootings in the small town of Newtown, CT. Likewise, across the NFL football stadiums on Sunday, fans in the stands and watching at home will pause for a moment of silence and prayer to reflect on the senseless murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
