Good Grief … Celebrity Boxing Match Set Between George Zimmerman and Rapper DMX (Earl Simmons)

Well this hardly promises to be like the “Rumble in the Jungle”.

I can see David Buffer providing the pre-fight intro … LET’S GET READY TO STUMBLE!!!!

TMZ is reporting that the a boxing match is on between George Zimmerman and rapper DMX. Yes, that same George Zimmerman. It would appear that Zimmerman and DMX are going to have a 3 round boxing match. Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman says that there were 15,000 applicants who wanted to take ob George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who was found “not guilty” in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.  Really, DMX? Obviously the rapper wants to beat the hell out of Zimmerman, he has made that pretty obvious by his words below. But wouldn’t such a match have been better had Zimmerman been in the ring with Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? Now that’s a match I would be willing to pay for!

Oh by the way, celebrity boxing match. George Zimmerman is a celebrity, really?

VIDEO – CNN

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman tells us, DMX was selected out of 15,000 applicants … all of whom wanted a piece of Zimmerman in the ring after he issued the open challenge to fight anyone willing to take him.

But no one wanted to beat Zimmerman’s ass more than DMX.

As we first reported, DMX promised to massacre Zimmerman in the ring if he got the chance. To be exact, he said, “I am going to beat the living f**k out him I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up.” He then said he’d literally piss on George’s face.

George Zimmerman better hope Obamacare covers the injuries he is about to get in this beat down.

On a serious note, George … GO AWAY!!!

Oh wait, check this comment out from Al Sharpton regarding the event. Um, this coming from the man who made himself of celebrity and hero from the false rape accusation of of a police officer in the Tawana Brawley case.

We must be very careful not to glorify or in any way sidestep the implications of making someone whose only claim to fame was killing an unarmed, young man named Trayvon Martin into a cultural celebrity or hero,” Sharpton said.

New Olympic Terror Threats Ahead of Sochi Winter Games … US Warns Airlines About Toothpaste Tube Bomb

Just ahead of the start of the Sochi Winter Olympics and a new terror threat …

The United States Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning to US  and some foreign airlines travelers to Russia for the Sochi Olympic Games to be on the look out for tubes of toothpaste. According to the ABC report, that cited a senior U.S. official, intelligence has indicated that toothpaste tubes can hold ingredients that could be used to construct a bomb aboard a plane. The information “specifically targets flights to Russia.” This threat was also linked to the arrests of two women in France.  The women, reportedly 23- and 30-years-old, were of Chechen descent. Leading up to the Olympics in Sochi, there have been many terror attacks in the region, concerns of  black widows already being in the area, and promises by Chechen terrorists of delivering “surprise packages.”

Toothpaste

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning to U.S. and some foreign airlines traveling to Russia for the Olympic Games to be on the lookout for toothpaste containers, which some intelligence indicates may actually hold ingredients that could be used to construct a bomb aboard a plane, a senior U.S. official told ABC News.

The official did not provide further details about the warning or the intelligence that prompted it, but an official with the Department of Homeland Security, while declining to discuss the specific warning, said the department “regularly shares relevant information with domestic and international partners, including those associated with international events such as the Sochi Olympics.”

“While we are not aware of a specific threat to the homeland at this time, this routine communication is an important part of our commitment to making sure we meet that priority,” the official said. “As always, our security apparatus includes a number of measures, both seen and unseen, and DHS will continue to adjust security measures to fit an ever evolving threat environment.”

A federal law enforcement source said the information is largely intended for foreign carriers and the generic threat is not directed at the U.S. homeland. The Russian government has been informed, the source said.

Going to the Olympics, leave your toothpaste at home.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper last week, U.S. President Barack Obama said that he believes “Sochi is safe.” Great, this coming from the man who said, if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your health care plan. Some how this is hardly a vote of confidence for the Winter Olympic Games.

PETA Takes Issue with Broadway Joe Namath’s Fur Coat He Was Wearing for Coin Toss at Super Bowl on Twitter

The first thing I thought when I saw Broadway Joe sporting that fine fur coat for the coin toss was, oh boy PETA is going to have a COW!!!

Call the wambulance, PETA is upset again. PETA took to twitter complaining about Broadway Joe’s fur coat he was wearing during the Super Bowl. Really folks, you don’t have more important issues to deal with. Like trying to figure out how to get folks to adopt pets rather than killing them.

Broadway Joe looked the part.

Would you expect anything less?

Joe Namath, New York football royalty as MVP of the third Super Bowl for the Jets, wore a fur coat for the coin toss. After a false start on the first attempt, the Seahawks called tails, and they were right. Seattle deferred to the second half.

“Whatever was killed to keep Joe Namath warm won’t. I guess he’s not a PETA member,” Frank Mosco wrote.

Meanwhile, PETA took issue with Namath’s coat on Twitter.

PETA also tweeted an image of a pile of skinned animals with the message, “FYI @RealJoeNamath: Here’s the REST of your fur coat.”

UPDATE I: Ha, looks like Joe was just imitating another, via re-tweet from Gateway Pundit.

The Best Super Bowl XLVIII Commercial, Hands Down – Budweiser: “A Hero’s Welcome” … Lt. Chuck Nadd Comes Home

AWESOME!!!

Whether you are a Seattle Seahawk or Denver Broncos fan, whether you enjoyed the games outcome or were distraught, there is one thing that everyone can agree on … the best and most touching Super Bowl XLVIII commercial was Budweiser’s “A Hero’s Welcome.” It was by far the best commercial of the day. Budweiser deserves huge kudos for this effort. This was more than a commercial, it was a thank you to the sacrifice for our brave men and women who protect our liberty and freedoms.

Because ever soldier deserves a hero’s welcome home … Yes they Do!

Super Bowl XLVIII: Seattle Seahawks & the Legion of Boom Crush Denver Broncos & Peyton Manning 43-8

Dominating performance by the Seattle Seahawks and their #1 defense … subtitled, Manning and Broncos Sleeping Against Seattle.

The Seattle onslaught began 12 seconds into the game when the Broncos center hiked the ball prematurely and past Peyton Manning into the end zone for a 2 point safety. It was all downhill from there for the Broncos and Peyton Manning as the Seattle Seahawks outplayed Denver in ever aspect of the game, winning 43-8. The Seahawks scored in ever aspect of the game, offensive TD’s, defensive interception returns for TD, defensive safety, special teams kick off return for a TD and field goals.

Seahawks

The Super Bowl got off to its strangest start ever as Denver Broncos center Manny Ramirez snapped the ball by Peyton Manning on the first play from scrimmage. The ball was recovered by Knowshon Moreno in the end zone for a safety.

The Seahawks led 2-0 after 12 seconds, the fastest score in Super Bowl history. It was 2 seconds faster than Devin Hester’s kickoff return for a score in 2007.

The first Super Bowl played outdoors at a cold-weather site was an abnormally warm 49 degrees and hardly the winter wonderland many expected for the NFL’s biggest game at MetLife Stadium.

Manning and the Denver Broncos’ top-ranked, record-breaking offense opened with the ball after the Seattle Seahawks won the coin toss but deferred — with a pair of former New York-area Super Bowl stars at midfield in the Jets’ Joe Namath and the Giants’ Phil Simms. Namath flipped the coin too soon, before Seattle had made its choice, so referee Terry McAulay caught the coin in midair. Then, Namath tossed it again after the Seahawks called “tails.”

UPDATE I: Seattle Seahawks rout Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions for the first time in team history.

And they are bringing a major national championship back to the Emerald City for the first time in 35 years.

The Seahawks jumped on the Denver Broncos on the first play from scrimmage in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, then never let up. A shocking defensive performance shut down Peyton Manning and the Broncos for a full 60 minutes, and the Hawks dominated MetLife Stadium for a 43-8 victory Sunday.

They were hungry. They were determined. They were overwhelming.

UPDATE II: Seattle out-played Denver in ever aspect of the game and to a man. Seatle QB Russell Wilson out-played Manning. Who saw that coming? Seahawks out rushed Denver, 135 yards – 27 yards. Denver had 4 turn overs, including two Peyton Manning interceptions.

UPDATE III: Seattle linebacker Malcolm Smith named MVP.

Malcolm Smith always was ready to step in when the Seattle Seahawks needed him.

Now he’s only the third linebacker in NFL history to earn Super Bowl MVP honors.

Smith returned an interception of regular-season MVP Peyton Manning 69 yards for a touchdown in the first half, recovered a fumble in the second half, and was part of a dominating defensive performance by Seattle during its 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.
