Obama’s Hope & Change Economy … The Nation’s Official Poverty Rate in 2009 was 14.3%
Welcome to the Obama “Hope & Change” economy. People across America just hope they have change in their pocket in the wake of Obama’s miserable attempt at restoring the economy.
1 in 7 now considered poor … welcome to the Obama Misery Index. Thanks to President Barack Hussein Obama, the nation’s official poverty rate in 2009 was 14.3% as 43.6 million people found themselves in poverty. The number of uninsured also increased in 2009 thanks to out of work individuals as the number of uninsured rose to 50.7 million in 2009 from 46.3 million in 2008.
Less than 50 days out before the midterm election and voters will express their dissatisfaction with the Obama Misery Index.
The U.S. Census Bureau announced today that real median household income in the United States in 2009 was $49,777, not statistically different from the 2008 median.

The Obama Economy Welcome to Obamaville: The Number of People on Poverty to Post Record Gain Under Obama’s Watch
Welcome to Hooverville, Obamaville …
America, how is that “Hopey,Changey” thing working out for you? According to estimates tracking poverty trends in 2009, they likely to show a significant rate increase to the range of 14.7 percent to 15 percent. If that is the case, some 45 million people would have been considered poor in the United States. This is unacceptable.
Should those estimates hold true, some 45 million people in this country, or more than 1 in 7, were poor last year. It would be the highest single-year increase since the government began calculating poverty figures in 1959. The previous high was in 1980 when the rate jumped 1.3 percentage points to 13 percent during the energy crisis.
Barack Obama and Democrats do not have a clue as to what they are doing or how to create an environment to fix the economy and create jobs. Unemployment rates are at 9.6% and rising, which does not even begin to count discouraged workers who have all but given up on seeking employment. Also under Obama there is a record number of people on food stamps. The $787 billion stimulus was a complete epic failure, now Obama looks to spend another $50 billion stimulus and increase the already existing record federal deficits.

President Obama Touts New $50 Billion Stimulus While 55% Oppose Second Stimulus Plan
There comes a point when a President purposely defies the will of the people … enter Barack Obama.
Once again President Barack Hussein Obama finds himself yet again on the wrong side of an issue with the American public. As Barack Obama touts more government spending, because the first $787 billion wasn’t enough, he now looks to spend yet another $50 billion in additional spending on roads, railways and runways. Of course Obama won’t call it for what it is, another stimulus package, the Bride of Stimulus.
Obama looks to pander to his Democrat and union base leading up to the 2010 midterm elections. If Obama actually thought any of this would have fixed the economy, why didn’t he pass it 18 months ago?
However, just like the America people think the the first $787 billion was a colossal failure, according to a new Rasmussen poll, 55% of American voters are against a second stimulus, while only 31% are in favor.
President Obama is expected to announce on Wednesday plans for at least $50 billion in new government spending on the nation’s transportation infrastructure and billions more in tax credits in hopes of jumpstarting the troubled economy with midterm elections less than two months away. But the administration has been careful not to call the new spending a second economic stimulus plan, although Republicans and others view it that way.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 55% of U.S. voters continue to oppose a second economic stimulus package. Only 31% support a second stimulus, and 14% more are undecided.
This Obama policy is about as popular as Obamacare, where by a56 to 38 margin American voters want it repealed.
However, the Obama White House refuses to call the $50 billion stimulus, a stimulus. As the Gateway Pundit says, MAN UP!!!

Barack Obama … Less Than 60 Days from Midterm Elections and “The One” has a -21% Presidential Approval Index Rating
Why did anyone think a Socialist could create jobs?
Barack Hussein Obama is a total and complete disaster as President and the voters know it. With the 2010 midterm elections right around the corner, Obama has a -21% Presidential Approval Index Rating according to Rasmussen. Only 42% of voters approve of the job that Obama has done, while 56% disapprove.
Why are Obama’s numbers so poor … he earned them.
- The unemployment rate is up to 9.6%.
- Obama’s fabled Summer of job recovery has lost 283,000 jobs.
- Record number of Americans on food stamps.
- Record federal deficits
- Defying We the People and pushing Obamacare down the throats of Americans.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 24% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).
Americans have grown weary of this deceitful President. Just before Labor Day weekend, poor job numbers are released and Barack Hussein Obama does a “happy, happy, joy, joy” dance about some silver lining but doesn’t mention there was a net job loss of 54K.
Today the president refrained from mentioning the net job loss of 54,000 jobs, or ever that August brought a net job loss. He said that the 67,000 private sector jobs created were “not nearly good enough” and said he would “in the weeks ahead” be detailing “further steps to create jobs and keep the economy growing, including extending tax cuts for the middle class and investing in the areas of our economy where the potential for job growth is greatest.”
The upcoming 2010 midterm elections are going to be all about the economy and Obama’s policies. Obama has had two years and has made matters worse. Both unemployment and spending have increased under Obama … the Democrats will feel the voters wrath on November 2.

Rut-Roh Obama & Dems, Fewer Young Voters See Themselves as Democrats
Even college age kids turning against Democrats?
Less than two short years ago following the 2008 Presidential election of Barack Hussein Obama, every one stated that the Republican party was finished, had no hope and no future. It would appear that the reports of the demise of the Republicans were a bit premature.
Enter Barack Obama, his socialist czars, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, $787 billion stimulus, Obama Care, record federal deficits, out of control spending and the most radical White House in the history of the United States. According to a NY Times article, now even college age kids are turning against Obama and Democrats.
The college vote is up for grabs this year — to an extent that would have seemed unlikely two years ago, when a generation of young people seemed to swoon over Barack Obama.
Though many students are liberals on social issues, the economic reality of a weak job market has taken a toll on their loyalties: far fewer 18- to 29-year-olds now identify themselves as Democrats compared with 2008.
“Is the recession, which is hitting young people very hard, doing lasting or permanent damage to what looked like a good Democratic advantage with this age group?” asked Scott Keeter, the director of survey research at the Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan group. “The jury is still out.”
What a reversal of fortune for Democrats. Is the youuth vote leaving the Democrats, or will they merely just stay home?
As stated by the Gay Patriot, it “seems the surge in support among young people for Obama was based more on his personality and the imagery of his campaign than on the candidate’s (carefully concealed*) ideology”.
This is why it is important to know your candidate, not just get caught up in an image and catch phrase of “Hope & Change”. The youth appears to be paying more attention to Obama and his policies and how they directly affect them. It is they that will be paying for his ridiculous spending programs. I guess they missed that fact when they were voting for him in 2008.
For the record turn out and people that Obama reached in 2008 … 2012 seems like it will pale in comparison. The likihood that Obama will be a one term President seems more and more certain every day.
