RUT-ROH … DSCC Pulls TV Advertising for Democrat Senate Challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes … VIDEO of Grimes – McConnell Senate Debate

Democrats waiving white flag in Kentucky Senate race …

Bad news for Democrats ahead of 2014 elections, the TV ads go dark from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee for Kentucky Democrat Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes.  Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has had a consistent lead in the polls and seems to be pulling away at the end, even after the DSCC has spent millions in ads. Put a fork in her, Grimes is done. In their Senate debate, challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes once again refused to answer the simple question of whether she voted for Barack Obama or not. She claimed her lack of a response was based on principle. I think we all know it was based on politics as Obama is very unpopular in the Blue Grass state and lost 60% to 38% to Romney in the 2012 presidential election.

After a significant investment in support of Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, the DSCC had not reserved time for the final three weeks of the race and, as of today, is no longer on the air.
DSCC Goes Dark in Kentucky

“The DSCC has now spent more than 2 million in Kentucky and continues to make targeted investments in the ground game while monitoring the race for future investments, but is currently not on the air in the state,” a DSCC official told CQ Roll Call.

CNN: The move comes as Democrats focus their resources on defending the party’s endangered incumbents. Senators

Democrats pulled their TV advertising in Kentucky from now through election day, leaving Senate hopeful Alison Lundergan Grimes without air support from the national party, which had invested heavily in trying to unseat the Senate’s top Republican.

It’s a sign of how stretched Democrats are in defending their own turf across the country that they can no longer afford to go on offense in the marquee race against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

But Grimes sources insist they’ll be fine on their own. The campaign, sources said, is flush with $4.4 million cash on hand — much more than other Democrats on the ballot this year.

“Money is not an issue in this campaign,” a Grimes source said.

Note to Grimes, yes money is the only thing in a campaign when you are the challenger and the Democrats have claimed they have more than the GOP and plan to carpet-bomb the airwaves with political ads.

Incumbent Mitch McConnell Easily Defeats Tea Party Challenger Matt Bevin in Kentucky GOP Primary

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell defeated his GOP Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin in the Kentucky primary by 25%, just one of many races on Super Primary Tuesday. There is a saying, we get the government that we voted for. With so many people claiming to be tired of the same old way that Washington DC is run … last night in primaries across the United States on both sides, the same old establishment candidates won. In Georgia, a Senate Republican primary headed to a runoff with the two candidates, ex-CEO of Dollar General David Perdue and Rep. Jack Kingston.

Mitch McConnell and Alison Lundergan Grimes ran victory laps Tuesday in Kentucky as they rallied their party faithful to nominate them for a colossal showdown in November that could help decide which party controls the U.S. Senate.

Grimes, Kentucky’s Democratic Secretary of State, rolled to victory over nominal primary opposition. And McConnell easily defeated tea party-backed challenger Matt Bevin, who spent $3.3 million in his failed bid to oust the five-term Republican Senate leader.

Um, isn’t Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell one of those powers to be that he is referencing in his own speech?

As Powerline opines, it is time for Republicans and Conservatives to understand who is their greater foe, “As John has pointed out, McConnell’s lifetime ACU rating, after 28 years in the Senate, ‘is certifiably right-wing at 90%.’ Given that record and the importance of wresting control of the Senate away from Harry Reid and the Democrats, it’s difficult to believe that Republicans will not unite behind McConnell in the fight against Grimes.”

Kentucky Kickback … Senate McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $2 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Dam Project … Make that $3 Billion

UNBELIEVABLE … AND WE THE PEOPLE WONDER WHY WE HAVE A $17 TRILLION DEBT WHEN WE HAVE GOP ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS LIKE THIS

So as the MSM is telling you who are the “winners” and “losers” of the government shutdown ending, add Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to the list of greedy winners. Why you ask? As reported at WFPL News, the deal between Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) included a $2 billion, oops sorry … $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky damn dam project. And you wonder why McConnell pushed this bill in the Senate?

Mitch_McConnell2

But it’s only $2 billion, oh I misspoke, I meant $3 trillion

A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

The dam is considered an important project for the state and region in regards to water traffic along the Ohio River.

We wonder why “establishment” republicans hate the Tea Party and those elected to office to reduce spending and the debt? The GOP power elite is just as bad as the Democrats and Barack Obama. They are just as respinsible for a bloated $17 trillion debt and seem to care little about reducing it. I could not agree more with The Gateway Pundit when Jim says, “This looks really bad, Mitch — Really, really bad.”

So we have a federal debt about to go over $17 trillion, the debt limit has just been raised, government spending is continuing to be out of control and unsustainable and we have establishment Republicans like Mitch McConnell getting theirs and making matters worse. Yet some how it is fiscal minded Conservatives like Sens.Ted Cruz (R-TX)Rand Paul, Rand Paul (R-KY) and Mike Lee (R-UT) who are called crazy, dangerous extremists. God help this country. However, as the Lonely Conservative correctly states, the real “losers” in this are the American People!

This is exactly the reason why “establishment” Republicans who have forgotten what it means to be a Republican need to be primary challenged.

Did Mitch McConnell not learn from what happened to Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) and the Corn Husker Kickback?

GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Says IRS Revelations ‘Just The Beginning’ … Head of the IRS Should Resign

IRS-GATE … Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Minority Leader says the head of the IRS should resign.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY-R) believes that the information trickling out of the IRS and their weak attempt at an apology to try and get out in front of the damning story, is just the tip of the iceberg. McConnell told Breitbart News that he  does not believe that the assertions by the IRS that its efforts to target conservative groups were relegated to low-level employees. McConnell believes that the IRS involvement extends up the chain to the White House. An investigation is needed; however, McConnell does not trust  any Democrat-led investigation into the IRS scandal. McConnell also added that the recent IRS revelations were “just the beginning of the story. This is no little thing. This is a big thing.” Or as Vice President Joe Biden says … IRS-GATE is a big “f*cking deal”.

Mitch_McConnell

The scandal, McConnell said, extends up the chain. “The Obama effort to shut up opponents isn’t limited to the IRS,” he stated. “It applies to the FCC [Federal Communications Commission], SEC [Securities and Exchange Commission], FEC [Federal Elections Commission], HHS [Department of Health and Human Services] …. And you remember, the Obama campaign last year published a list of eight businessmen who it believed were enemies.”

McConnell further noted reports that the Department of Health and Human Services had been contacting businesses “skeptical about the implementation of Obamacare and asking them to contribute money to sell the program to the American people. That’s absolutely improper if not illegal. This administration will stop at nothing to get its way. It will do anything it can to silence its critics.”

Looks like typical Chicago-style, Obama politics, doesn’t it? This is what happens when “BIG GOVERNMENT” is allowed to run without any restraint.

UPDATE I: Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell tells National Review that Steven Miller, the acting head of the Internal Revenue Service, should step down.  Step down? Individuals should be sent to jail for violating the trust of the American people and violating the United States Constitution. It is beyond comprehension that in the United States of America we have an agency like the IRS going after Americans for expressing their First Amendment rights of free speech and educations others on of all things, the US Constitution. UNREAL!!! Of course the head of the IRS has to go and so does the whole lot of them. No one trusted the IRS before this … NOW EVERYONE HAS A REASON NOT TO.

“He should resign,” the senator says. “Believe me, if this was a Republican administration doing all this, the New York Times and Washington Post would be in absolute meltdown.”

President Obama, he adds, shouldn’t escape blame: “They all take their cues from the tone expressed by the president, and he’s made it clear that this administration is perfectly willing to crack down on critics.”

Miller worked as a deputy commissioner of the IRS under Douglas Shulman, who ran the agency from 2008 to late 2012. He and Shulman have been the focus of public outrage over the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups.

UPDATE II: The House Ways and Means Committee has scheduled a formal hearing Friday to probe the Internal Revenue Service for placing heavier scrutiny on conservative groups that applied for nonprofit status between 2010 and 2012.

Liberal Super PAC ‘Progress Kentucky’ Who Made Racist Comments About Mitch McConnell’s Asian Wife Responsible For Illegal Secretly Recording Opposition Meeting On Ashley Judd

WATERGATE II in the “Blue Grass” State …

It turns out that a liberal super PAC group, “Progress Kentucky,”  was responsible for the illegal recordings of Republican Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell and his campaign staffers. The secretly and illegally recorded meeting was an opposition discussion on one time Democrat opponent, actor Ashley Judd. As reported at WFPL News,  Jacob Conway, an executive committee member of the Jefferson County Democratic Party said the founders of Progressive Kentucky Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison were responsible for the illegal recording and bragged about recording the meeting.

A secret recording of a campaign strategy session between U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and his advisors was taped by leaders of the Progress Kentucky super PAC, says a longtime local Democratic operative.

Mother Jones Magazine released the tape this week. The meeting itself took place on Feb. 2.

Jacob Conway, who is on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Democratic Party, says that day, Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison, who founded and volunteered for Progress Kentucky, respectively, bragged to him about how they recorded the meeting.

Progress Kentucky was the same group that made the racist, bigoted and reprehensible comments regarding Sen. McConnell’s Taiwanese born wife, former Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao.

Much More from Mary Catherine Hamm at Hot Air and the “Water-Gating” of Mitch McConnell. Jacob Conway, who is on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Democratic Party outed ‘Progress Kentucky’ for the good of the party. Sounds more like a the rats fleeing the sinking ship and all individuals for themselves.

Dem Outed Liberal Group On McConnell Recordings For Good Of The Party

As stated at Legal Insurrection, “Mother Jones, who obtained and disseminated the tape as an exclusive, and David Corn better start lawyering up (which I assume they already have), because the question will become What did Mother Jones know about alleged McConnell bugging, and when did it know it?”

More from the illegal taping of the McConnell opposition meeting:

On Feb. 2, McConnell opened his campaign headquarters in the Watterson Office Park in Louisville and invited trusted GOP activists and select media outlets to an open house. The event lasted roughly two hours. Afterward, McConnell and several campaign advisors held a strategy session in an office meeting room.

Morrison and Reilly did not attend the open house, but they told Conway they arrived later and were able to hear the meeting from the hallway.

“They were in the hallway after the, I guess after the celebration and hoopla ended, apparently these people broke for lunch and had a strategy meeting, which is, in every campaign I’ve been affiliated with, makes perfect sense,” says Conway. “One of them held the elevator, the other one did the recording and they left. That was what they told to me from them directly.”
