TOLERANCE??? Barack Obama Seeks Common Ground in US Apology Tour with Tolerant Muslim Islam

The Obama apology tour continues … this stop Cairo, Egypt. The naive approach to a serious issue continues from Obama Kumbaya foreign policy 1.0.

This morning at the Grand Hall of Cairo University in Cairo June 4, 2009, President Barack Hussein Obama called for “tolerance” and looked common ground between the United States and the Muslim world. Tolerance and common ground for how the Muslim world responded to GWB’s actions following September 11, 2001? Excuse me. Did Barack Obama just apologize for the US attempts for democracy in the Middle East and the freeing of 50 millions Muslims?

In remarks being translated live for broadcasts and Webcasts in every major language, President Barack Obama said Thursday that the United States wants “common ground” and “a new beginning” with the Muslim world, where America’s image plummeted with the Bush administration’s response to the 9/11 attacks.

President Obama, please take a history lesson or learn to tell the truth and speak the facts. The Muslim world’s opinion of us went South during the Carter Administration and the advent of radical Islam.

“I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims,” he said. “As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.”

The comments in what he called “the timeless city of Cairo” are by far the most extensive he has made about his Muslim roots. Obama added another personal note as he insisted on greater religious freedom throughout the world: “I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today.”

Who needs VP Joe Biden’s gaffes when we have Obama’s dangerous speak? So was the following comments for Barack Hussein Obama a gaffe or a wish?

Here is even more Change You Can Believe In … in Barack Obama’s world, The United States is not a Judeo-Christian country, but is “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”  What planet does this man live on? BTW Mr. President, there is no “e” at the end of Muslim either. On the eve of his speech in Cairo, Egypt President Obama states the following:

In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” He sought to downplay the expectations of the speech, but he said he hoped the address would raise awareness about Muslims.

Is this a wish for Obama or just a major and ignorant gaffe? At Jihad Watch, they have the numbers of Muslim countries around the world, the USA is hardly the largest, it is not even close.

Indonesia: 200 million Muslims. India: 156 million Muslims. Pakistan: 150 million Muslims.

United States: 2.3 million Muslims (according to the Pew Research Center).

Obama said in Turkey that Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation”. John McCain was criticised in 2007 for saying the US was “a Christian nation”, later amending this to “a Judeo-Christian valued nation”.

WOW, who knew … Obama has Muslim roots? Well isn’t this interesting. Suddenly, President Barack Hussein Obama has got in touch with his Muslin roots. I guess he must have contacted Alex Haley since he has been in the White House. What was once taboo by the Obama campaign during the 2008 run for the Presidency is now embraced by the Obamahmessiah. Is this peculiar or frightening, as posted at the Gateway Pundit, “What the hell is he talking about? Just when you thought things could not get any weirder. Barack Obama is now calling America a Muslim Nation”.

He was supposed to be different. People voted for change. Not the socialist changes that he is enacting, but a change in how politicians were supposed to act. However, this political opportunist has shown he is no different that any who have come before him when it comes to playing the political game.

ABC News’ Jake Tapper and Sunlen Miller report: The other day we heard a comment from a White House aide that never would have been uttered during the primaries or general election campaign.

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”

Given widespread unease and prejudice against Muslims among Americans, especially in the wake of 9/11, the Obama campaign was perhaps understandably very sensitive during the primaries and general election to downplay the candidate’s Muslim roots.

Remember when using “Hussein” meant you were a right wing hater? It meant you are anti-Muslim rather than just calling The One by his real name. I think that all conservative bloggers should stand up and take a bow because we were not haters, we were avant guard.

George Tiller, Late Term Abortion Doctor Shot to Death at Kansas Church

67 year old George Tiller, the controversial late term abortion, lightening rod doctor was shot and killed this morning at 10:00 am in the lobby of Reformation Lutheran Church at 7601 E. 13th in Wichita, Kansas. A search is going on by police, the FBI and KBI for the shooter.

Reports states that the suspect was a white male who was driving a 1993 light blue Ford Taurus with Kansas license plates 225 BAB. Police described him as a white male in his 50′s or 60′s, 6’1,” 220 lbs, wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

Tiller has long been a focal point of protest by abortion opponents because his clinic, Women’s Health Care Services at 5107 E. Kellogg, is one of the few in the country where late-term abortions are performed.

Mark Mitchell, who lives near where the shooting occurred, said he knew Tiller attended the church because of the periodic protests there and media coverage.

He said the protests would sometimes be as large as two dozen people. The last protest he can remember there was in the fall.

“We are shocked at this morning’s disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down,” anti-abortion group Operation Rescue said in a statement on its Web site. “Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller’s family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ.”

Reuters – A Kansas doctor who was a controversial provider of so-called “late-term” abortions was shot and killed at his church on Sunday. Attention Reuters, they are not “so-called” late term abortions, they are late term abortions.

Christian Defense Coalition Condemns Shooting of Dr. George Tiller

Although we certainly do not condone assassinations of people, no matter how much we disagree with what they are doing. We also disagree with the LEFT’s blaming conservative commentators with this man’s death. Here is a video of Bill O’Reilly doing a segmnet of “Tiller, the baby killer”. When one participates in such a controversial and heinous act like late term abortions, one puts them self knowingly at risk. All I can say is may God have mercy on this man’s soul and as Don Suber says, “Rest in peace. The Lord forgives.”

UPDATE I: Kansas Police Pull Over Car Matching Suspect Vehicle in Tiller Murder

Police have the murder suspect in custody according to the AP.

Nearly four hours after abortion doctor George Tiller was gunned down and killed in his Lutheran Church, Johnson County police pulled over a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle.

According to Wichita media, police described the suspect as a white male in his 50′s or 60′s with gray hair that is balding in the middle. He is about 6’1″ and about 220 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and dark pants. He was last seen in a light blue Ford Taurus, possibly an early 1990′s model. It has a K-State vanity plate and a Kansas license plate number 225 BAB.
