Martin Bashir Resigns From MSNBC Following Disgusting Comments Made about Sarah Palin
HE’S OUT … Martin Bashir has resigned from MSNBC.
Another one bites the dust at MSNBC; however, this time it was a resignation. The Politico is reporting that MSNBC’s Martin Bashir has resigned following the controversy and uproar started when the BSNBC host made sick and disgusting remarks toward former Alaska governor and GOP Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Bashir had been on vacation since making the offensive comments and was forced to make an apology after he called Palin on air “a world class idiot” because she made a comparison to slavery while discussing U.S. debt to China and an even more vulgar slave punishment comment after that. All that and he still was not fired by NBC.
MSNBC daytime host Martin Bashir has resigned from MSNBC following controversial remarks he made about Sarah Palin, MSNBC president Phil Griffin announced on Wednesday.
“Martin Bashir resigned today, effective immediately. I understand his decision and I thank him for three great years with MSNBC,” Griffin said in a written statement. “Martin is a good man and respected colleague — we wish him only the best.”
In his own statement, first published by Mediaite, Bashir announced that he had tendered his resignation following a meeting with Griffin and “further reflection” on his controversial remarks, in which he suggested that the former Alaska governor be forced to endure slavery-like conditions.
In 1756, he records that “A slave named Darby catched eating canes; had him well flogged and pickled, then made Hector, another slave, s-h-i-t in his mouth.” This became known as Darby’s dose, a punishment invented by Thistlewood that spoke only of the slave owners savagery and inhumanity.
When Mrs. Palin invoked slavery, she doesn’t just prove her rank ignorance. She confirms that if anyone truly qualified for a dose of discipline from Thomas Thistlewood, then she would be the outstanding candidate.
It really does beg the question, how does one resign and not get fired for such offensive, planned comments made on air, unless the network agrees with the comments, but just can’t take the heat? Bashir hasn’t been on the air since November 22. MSNBC said he was on a pre-planned vacation, but it appears the vacation has turned into a resignation. MSNBC and parent company NBC still have literally taken no public action against Brashir for his comments. How amazing was the lack of punishment against Brashir for his vulgar comments, even Lefty Alec Baldwin had to question why he was fired and Brashir was not.
The Other McCain has other low-lights of Brashir’s past comments which the suits at NBC had no issue with either. And here are some others.
Statements from Brashir and Phil Griffin:
Martin Bashir: “After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the President of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation. It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments. I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences. I would also wish to express deepest gratitude to my immediate colleagues, and our contributors, all of whom have given so much of themselves to our broadcast.”
MSNBC president Phil Griffin: “Martin Bashir resigned today, effective immediately. I understand his decision and I thank him for three great years with MSNBC. Martin is a good man and respected colleague – we wish him only the best.”
Good man and respected colleague, eh?

Sarah Palin Cancels Interview With NBC’s Matt Lauer In Protest of the Lack of Action Taken Against MSNBC’s Martin Bashir for His “Violent & Hateful Rhetoric”
Looks like Matt Lauer will not be getting extra frequent flyer miles to Wasilla, Alaska …
Sarah Palin has canceled an upcoming interview with ‘The Today Show’s’ Matt Lauer due to NBC’s lack of taking any action against MSNBC’s Martin Bashir for his vile, disgusting,”violent and hateful rhetoric”. Bashir was forced to apologized to Palin and his 10 viewers Monday for his comments in which he called “totally unacceptable,” when he said someone should $hit in her mouth and piss in her eyes for her comparison of slavery to the national debt. Hmm, can you really apologize from making such a comment? Palin is upset that Martin Bashir has received “ZERO” punishment from the network, not termination, not a suspension, not a slap on the wrist, nothing! Just a lame apology. If Brashir actually had the intellectual honesty and listened to Palin’s comments, she is 100% correct. The out of control $17 trillion debt and climbing will put our children and grandchildren in fiscal chains.
Hmm, who is it again that has a war on women? Just curious, where is NOW? Imagine if a male on FOX News said the same about a prominent Democrat woman, think they would still have a job? Maybe if more conservatives stopped doing interviews on NBC News channels because of the insane rantings of their moonbat affiliate MSNBC, the network would actually attempt to make MSNBC actually perform in a professional manner.
It’s no secret that Sarah Palin is mighty steamed at MSNBC and Martin Bashir over his despicable remarks about the abusive treatment he imagines for her.
And now she’s doing something about it.
The former Alaska governor was scheduled to sit down with Matt Lauer for a Christmas season interview. That’s now toast.
Palin has now canceled Lauer’s scheduled trip to Wasilla, a source close to her tells me. It’s not because Palin is upset with Lauer or the “Today” show, but as a protest against NBC for not taking action against Bashir. In fact, Palin once sat in as a “Today”co-host.
Tim Crawford, treasurer of Palin’s political action committee, had told NBC News President Deborah Turness and MSNBC President Phil Griffin that “Americans deserve to know that your network doesn’t condone violent and hateful rhetoric.”
Conservative Radio host Mark Levin tears apart Brashir, his comments and MSLSD
Conservatives 4 Palin have an update that former Clinton Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers has called for NBC to get rid of Bashir.

More Race-Bait Hatred from Jesse Jackson … President Reagan was a Racist … Tea Party Seeks To “Maintain Walls” of Slavery And Segregation, America “The Land of The Free, Home of The Genocide”
Talk about irony, Jesse Jackson was introduced at McAlister Auditorium on Furman’s Greenville, SC as an “international peacemaker …
Jesse Jackson so Furman students … “The U.S. south is “the land of the free, the home of genocide.”
The Reverend Jesse Jackson spoke at Furman University and decided to further his race-baiting, divisive agenda by making insane comments regarding former President Ronald Reagan and the Tea Party. But that is all this one time Civil Rights leader has become, creating controversy and making outlandish comments in order to keep people divided, maintain animosity and further his cash-cow divisive agenda. Jackson has no answers to anything, but instead just wants to fan the flames. Jackson was invited to speak at “Keeping Hope Alive: Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement. Lauren Cooley, a Furman student who organized that protest and was disappointed that Furman would bring such a divisive individual to speak said, “He’s been stirring up division for years through outlandish anti-Semitic, anti-white, and anti-conservative statements.” Yup, that pretty much sums Jackson up in a nutshell. We are obviously allowed our Fist Amendment rights of free speech, but why does anyone listen to this guy anymore?
Keep Hate Alive …
Deceased Republican President Ronald Reagan sought to to permanently ban African Americans from playing college and professional football in the South with white people, civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. alleged in a speech at Furman University on Wednesday evening.
In the same speech he also alleged that the modern Tea Party was born from efforts to sustain segregation.
“Goldwater and Reagan – had they been successful, it would have been illegal for blacks and whites to play together on a Saturday afternoon,” he said.
“You couldn’t have had the Carolina Panthers behind the cotton curtain playing the Atlanta Falcons…[inaudible] it would have been illegal.”
In the tirade, recorded by a Furman University student, Jackson went on to claim that if Reagan and former GOP presidential candidate Barry Goldwater had their way, there would have been no Olympics in Atlanta, and basketball legend Michael Jordan would have been ineligible to play basketball at the University of North Carolina (UNC).
“Michael Jordan couldn’t have gone to UNC… [inaudible] it would have been ineligible for him to play at UNC,” he continued. “You couldn’t have had the Olympics in Atlanta Georgia. You couldn’t have had the Dallas Cowboys in Houston, Texas, you couldn’t have had the Super Bowl in New Orleans or in Atlanta or in Jacksonville or Miami.”
Jackson may have been referencing Reagan and Goldwater’s vocal support for state and individual rights, which a small number of far left critics interpreted as thinly veiled appeals for segregation.
[...]
He repeatedly calling the United States south “the land of the free, the home of genocide,” and suggested that the modern day Tea Party was born from efforts to maintain “the walls” of slavery and segregation.
“The Union, those in the Confederacy sought to maintain the walls [of slavery and segregation of races] and secede from the country, the shots fired at Fort Sumter, the beginning of the Tea Party, the ‘Fort Sumter’ Tea Party, who sought to secede from the union, set their own government, their own currency, sought to ally with France and Britain, to form their own country,” he said.

UNBELIEVABLE … MSNBC Host Melissa Harris-Perry Compares Gitmo Terrorist Inmates to American Slaves, HUH?
Liberalism really is a mental disease …
MSLSD MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry actually compared the GITMO terrorist inmates to American slaves. Wow, just wow. What is wrong with this network? Not only does the race baiting continue for the Far Left, but the foolish and ignorant comment was a complete insult to anyone who was a slave in America and their memories. Can you imagine if some one on Fox News made such a comment? Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the NAACP would be calling for a boycott and their firing. So let’s under stand the mentality of the LEFT toward former slaves in America. The LEFT is comparing radical Islamist Jihadists whose sworn oath to Allah is to kill Americans and our way of life and “infidels” who has a different belief from them, who are being detained in GITMO, to black slaves who were bought and sold into slavery and brought to America against their will. Seriously? I’m sorry, I get the two confused all the time, NOT!
All blacks in America should be wringing the phones and hammering the emails of MSNBC in their collective outrage of comparing slaves to terrorist.
From The Weekly Standard:
“This is the time to reaffirm our Americanness,” said Harris-Perry. “I also appreciate that the hunger strikers are not trying to die. They’re trying to generate autonomy in the context of something that strips their humanity–something we certainly know about from the experience of American slavery. And that the language of before I would be a slave, I’d be buried in my grave and go home to my Lord and be free. Just that idea of creating human freedom within the context of horrible human conditions.”

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2013 … Its Always About the Content of One’s Character
2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Day
“In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not to seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom, by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.” (MLK Jr.)
We all long for the “Dream”, but we must always remain vigilant of how we get there and who we chose to follow and listen to. Sadly, many have tried to highjack Martin Luther King Jr’s message to coop it for their own advantage. Don’t be sheep America, be true to yourself and think for yourself. No truer words have ever been stated than those by Martin Luther King Jr. during his ‘I Have a Dream Speech’ on August 28, 1963, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”. MLK’s message was meant for people of all colors, not one. It was also meant for individuals to interpret it for themselves, not to let those who would benefit from racial strife to tell you how to think and especially who to hate. Martin Luther King Jr’s indelible message in about equality and the measure of one’s character, not about one’s skin color.
MLK Jr’s ‘The I Have a Dream Speech’:
… I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This will be the day when all of God’s children will be able to sing with a new meaning, “My country, ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim’s pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring.”
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”
King’s message makes me wonder what MLK would think about of “His Dream” today? In the United States we have come so far as to be able to elect a President of color not once, but twice. We have had individuals of color in all three branches of government, as high ranking US generals, in the media and every position in the free market system. However, we still have racism in this country and even worse we have race baiting and those that would claim they care about the plight of the discriminated by making false claims of racism and playing the race card at every opportunity.
Think back to MLK Jr’s enlightening words, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” The color of one’s skin. Would it matter to MLK the color of one’s skin who was president when blacks had a 14% unemployment rate, nearly twice the rate of white men and women. Would MLK Jr. have cared the color of one’s skin of a president when black teens had a shocking 39.4% unemployment? Would MLK care of the color of ones skin of the leader of the US if Black millennials, those aged 18-29, fare better, but still face an 18.5% unemployment rate? I would dare say that the answer is no.
I would like to think that Martin Luther King Jr., had he been alive today, would speak out against any leader, including President Barack Hussein Obama, for his irresponsible and pathetic approach to help the black community unchain themselves from the bondage of slavery of dependence from the federal government, entitlement programs and the Nanny state. I would like to believe that King would have spoke out against the record millions that have been forced onto food stamps.
To be free at last, free at last means to not be dependent on one party or the federal government. I have to believe that was part of Marin Luther King Jr’s dream as well. All Americans of all colors should reflect on that today.
