Louis Farrakhan Says, “We need to put the American flag down. Because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag”

I know this is difficult for many of you to say and admit, Rush Limbaugh was right.

It did not take Louis Farrakhan long to prove conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh correct regarding the LEFT going after the American flag next. In an interview with WMAL, Louis Farrakhan stated “We need to put the American flag down. Because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag”. This hateful race-baiter went on to say, “They Don’t Give a Damn About Them 9.? Just days earlier Rush Limbaugh said, “And I’ll make another prediction to you. The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag.”

Hmm, who is spewing the hate?

Drudge Report

Louis Farrakhan stated “We need to put the American flag down. Because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag” in remarks before the Metropolitan AME Church in Washington, DC on Wednesday first reported by DC’s WMAL.

Farrakhan said, “White folks march with you because they don’t want you upsetting the city, they don’t give a damn about them nine.”

He added that when the police took suspected shooter Dylann Roof to Burger King they were saying “You did a good job. Kill all them [bleep.]”

Later, he declared, “I don’t know what the hell the fight is about over the Confederate flag. We need to put the American flag down. Because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag,” comments that were meant with cheers and applause.

C’mon LEFT, c’mon Media Matters, c’mon race-baitors, says it … RUSH WAS RIGHT!

eBay to Ban Sale of Confederate Flag Merchandise … Really, They Missed A Lot and They Seemed to Have Forgot to Remove the 2008 Hillary Clinton Campaign Buttons

This is what the slippery slope of censorship looks like … Its one thing for a State not to fly it at the Capitol, but now comes the purge of all things with the Confederate flag.

The hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton and the Confederate Flag …

It would appear that eBay has jumped on the band wagon to ban the sale of Confederate flag merchandise. According to eBay spokesperson Johnna Hoff, “We have decided to prohibit Confederate flags, and many items containing this image, because we believe it has become a contemporary symbol of divisiveness and racism.” REALLY? Because as of this morning, a simple search on eBay of “Confederate flag” brought up over 10 pages, 50 items on each page, of Confederate flag merchandise. So what is next, pretending like Civil War never took place and the scrubbing of Southern history?

I personally think slavery was one of our darkest hours in the United States and this existence of racism and bigotry is reprehensible; however, I find the exploitation of a heinous crime disgusting as well. This country has made great strides from the days of slavery, more so than many other countries where it continues today. I am not a fan of the Confederate flag, I am not from the South, I am more of a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag fan. But how long will it be before that symbol offends people? Hell, we have people in this country that are offended by the American flag, Old Glory.

How About this One?

Even Hillary Clinton chimed in on South Carolina’s removal of the Confederate flag from the Capitol building, but maybe Hillary would like to discuss her 2008 Hillary Clinton campaign buttons with the Confederate flag on them complete with Stars and Bars. By the way, that button is for sale on eBay. Oh, but that’s different, that was 8 years ago, what difference does it make. Right? In the video below Hillary Clinton said, “recognizing  it as a symbol of our nation’s racist past, that has no place in our present or our future.” Did she feel that way when Bill Clinton signed a Law Honoring Confederacy in Arkansas Flag?  Then comes Hillary’s anti-free speech comment, “It shouldn’t fly there, it shouldn’t fly anywhere.” Sorry folks, as long as people are allowed to burn the American flag as an example of free speech, flying a Confederate flag has to be allowed as well. You don’t get to allow one and not the other.

Hillary Clinton Says she appreciates the removal of Confederate Flag, but what about her campaign buttons?

eBay will ban the sale of Confederate flag merchandise, the auction site announced Tuesday, in a decision that follows in the steps of major retailers like Walmart and Sears.

“We have decided to prohibit Confederate flags, and many items containing this image, because we believe it has become a contemporary symbol of divisiveness and racism,” eBay spokesperson Johnna Hoff said in an email to CNN. “This decision is consistent with our long-standing policy that prohibits items that promote or glorify hatred, violence and racial intolerance.”

Hoff added that the company continually monitors and evaluates its 800 million products on its site to ensure that they are “consistent with our core purpose.”

The company’s decision mirrors that of Walmart and Sears, which have also removed Confederate flag products from their stores.

The controversial flag has come under intense scrutiny following a racially motivated mass shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, that left nine African-Americans dead in a historic church. On Monday, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley also called on the Confederate flag to be taken down from the state’s capitol grounds.

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley Calls for Removal of Confederate Flag From State Capitol in South Carolina

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley calls for the removal of Confederate flag from the State Capitol.

Following the shooting of 9 black church goers at the historic Emanuel American Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC, there has come the  call to take the Confederate, Stars and Bars, flag from the South Carolina State Capitol in Columbia. Yesterday, Nikki Haley calls for removal of Confederate flag. Authorities stated that the shooting was a hate crime, and a white supremacist website that may be linked to the shooter, Dylann Roof, has images that apparently show him holding the Confederate battle flag.

NBC NEWS:

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley called for the removal of the Confederate flag from the grounds of the state Capitol Monday, less than a week after a 21-year-old white man gunned down nine people at a historic African American church.

Support for the flag to come down from leaders around the state and around the country has been steadily growing in the wake of the devastating attack.

“Today, we are here in a moment of unity in our state, without ill will, to say it is time to move the flag from the Capitol grounds,” Haley said during a news conference attended by Republican senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, along with other state leaders.

I can understand the reason for the removal of the flag that divides individuals; however, if anyone thinks that this is the solution to stop racism, you are sorely mistaken. Love and Kindness ends racism, not the removal of a flag. If anything, the removal of the flag will probably fan the flames of the misguided and vile white supremacists. It is kind of playing into this hands and their mantra. However, the love, kindness and forgiveness shown by the families of the shooting victims in Charleston, SC will go farther to help get rid of racism and change hearts than any removal of a flag.

Thousands of People Flock to Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge for ‘Unity Chain’ in Honor of Charleston, SC Shooting Victims (VIDEO)

ALL PEOPLE COME TOGETHER TO IN “UNITY CHAIN” MARCH ACROSS CHARLESTON’S ARTHUR RAVENEL JR. BRIDGE …

Thousands of people, black and white, marched across Charleston’s Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge Sunday night in a “Unity Chain” in a show of solidarity and support for the nine innocent black church members who were killed at the hands of an evil racist. 21 year old Dylann Roof, the racist who murdered innocent church goers at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church stated that he wanted to cause a race war. Note to Dylann and his fellow racists … HE FAILED!!! The good people of Charleston, SC came together, black, white and people of all colors, came together to honor the fallen and showed that good always conquers evil.

Thousands of people amassed on Charleston’s Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge on Sunday night in an awe-inspiring display of solidarity for the victims of the brutal shooting at an area church on Wednesday.

Marchers filled the more than 2-mile span in what they called the “Bridge to Peace Unity Chain” after nine African-American parishioners of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church were killed in the incident.

Participants in Sunday’s processions cheered, clapped and sang songs like “This Little Light of Mine” in the middle of the bridge, while marching between Charleston and suburban Mount Pleasant.

UPDATE I: Sadly, not all at the Unity Chain march were promoting Unity … some radical race activists were waiving the Black Nationalist Flag at Charleston Rally.

Rachel Dolezal Resigns from Spokane NAACP

STEPPING DOWN …

Rachel Dolezal, the woman who faked her racial identity, has resigned as the president of the NAACP Spokane chapter. Rachel Dolezal portrayed herself as a black woman; however, she was outed by her parents as being white. Much of her past was made up. Her estranged parents told reporters last week that she is “Caucasian by birth,” with Czech, Swedish, German and a trace of Native American ancestry, even though she has been representing herself as black for years. The revelation that the Spokane NAACP chapter president was in fact white only had one conclusion. THIS WAS IT. You pretty much knew the handwriting was on the wall when Dolezal was scheduled to address the matter at a chapter meeting on Monday night, but the meeting was postponed.

So how much of this resignation was internal pressure? They can say all the right things externally, but as one can plainly see from the VIDEO below, there were some if not many who were openly upset that a white woman dare pass herself off as black. The activists stated, “I am sorry, you may not copy ‘MY’ people’s struggle.”  So why is it being reported that she faked her racial identity, rather than she feels like she is a black woman? Hmm, isn’t that bigoted?

FACEBOOK:

Dear Executive Committee and NAACP Members,

It is a true honor to serve in the racial and social justice movement here in Spokane and across the nation. Many issues face us now that drive at the theme of urgency. Police brutality, biased curriculum in schools, economic disenfranchisement, health inequities, and a lack of pro-justice political representation are among the concerns at the forefront of the current administration of the Spokane NAACP. And yet, the dialogue has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity.

I have waited in deference while others expressed their feelings, beliefs, confusions and even conclusions – absent the full story. I am consistently committed to empowering marginalized voices and believe that many individuals have been heard in the last hours and days that would not otherwise have had a platform to weigh in on this important discussion. Additionally, I have always deferred to the state and national NAACP leadership and offer my sincere gratitude for their unwavering support of my leadership through this unexpected firestorm. [...]

It is with complete allegiance to the cause of racial and social justice and the NAACP that I step aside from the Presidency and pass the baton to my Vice President, Naima Quarles-Burnley. It is my hope that by securing a beautiful office for the organization in the heart of downtown, bringing the local branch into financial compliance, catalyzing committees to do strategic work in the five Game Changer issues, launching community forums, putting the membership on a fast climb, and helping many individuals find the legal, financial and practical support needed to fight race-based discrimination, I have positioned the Spokane NAACP to buttress this transition.

UPDATE I: NAACP Statement on the Resignation of Rachel Dolezal.

From Cornell William Brooks, NAACP President & CEO:

“The NAACP is not concerned with the racial identity of our leadership but the institutional integrity of our advocacy. Our focus must be on issues not individuals. Ms. Rachel Dolezal has decided to resign to ensure that the Spokane branch remains focused on fighting for civil and human rights. This resignation today comes amidst the real work of the NAACP and the real challenges to our democracy. (more)
