U.S. Economy Ddded 261,000 Jobs in October & Unemployment Rate at 4.1% (Update: Adjusted 92,000 Jobs Added in Aug & Sep)
PUTTING AMERICA BACK TO WORK AGAIN …
More strong jobs numbers have been reported for October 2017 as 261,000 jobs were added. Compare the job growth with what was going on in 2016. Add this to the GDP at 3% and we have an economy finally headed in the right direction.
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 261,000 in October, and the unemployment rate edged down to 4.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment in food services and drinking places increased sharply, mostly offsetting a decline in September that largely reflected the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. In October, job gains also occurred in professional and business services, manufacturing, and health care.
The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) declined by 369,000 to 4.8 million in October. These individuals, who would have preferred full-time employment, were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find full time jobs. Over the past 12 months, the number of involuntary part-time workers has decreased by 1.1 million.
U.S. economy adds 261,000 jobs in October from CNBC.
The U.S. economy added 261,000 jobs in October and the unemployment rate was 4.1 percent as labor conditions returned to normal following the storm-weakened September.
However, the number was considerably below Wall Street expectations of 310,000. The tick lower in the unemployment rate came against expectations it would hold steady at 4.2 percent.
In addition to the October growth, an initially reported decline of 33,000 for September was revised up to 18,000. August’s count also was revised up from 169,000 to 208,000.
Indeed, the biggest gain in employment came from the hospitality industry, with jobs at food and drinking establishments up by 89,000, reflecting a storm-related rebound. Professional and business services contributed 50,000 to the total while manufacturing added 24,000 and health care increased by 22,000.
In all, employment in the manufacturing sector has increased by 156,000 since President Donald Trump’s election in November 2016. Trump has made blue-collar growth a priority of his economic agenda.

ECONOMY BOOMING UNDER TRUMP … ADP: US Private Sector Jobs Soar … 235,000 Jobs Added in October 2017 vs 200,000 Expected & Worker Productivity Up & Manufacturing Surges in Midwest States
MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN … PUTTING AMERICA BACK TO WORK AND OFF UNEMPLOYMENT.
As reported at CNBC, the number of private-sector jobs created in October 2017 rose to 235,000. That was more than expected and far more than October 2016. In terms of business size, job gains were spread evenly, with companies that have more than 500 employees hiring 90,000 while those with fewer than 50 added 79,000. Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, stated that “the job market has rebounded quickly following the devastating hit it took from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.”
This is one of the many reasons why Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton. Trump had a plan for the economy, Hillary did not. The economy is booming in states like Minnesota and Iowa. The coal industry is making a come back. All this country needs is a real and legitimate tax relief plan for business and individuals, not just a tax shell game of moving taxes and it will light this already robust economy on fire.
The number of private-sector jobs created in October rose more than expected, with construction jobs surging in the wake of destructive hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
The ADP National Employment showed private-sector businesses added 235,000 jobs in the month. ADP was expected to show private employers added 200,000 jobs in October, up from 135,000 in September.
ADP October payrolls up 235K from CNBC.
Goods-producing companies benefited strongly with 85,000 new jobs, 62,000 of which came from construction. Manufacturing also saw 22,000 positions added.
Overall, the service sector accounted for the bulk of the job creation, adding 150,000 jobs. Professional and business services added the most positions, up 109,000. Job losses were seen in the trade, transportation, and information sectors, as well as education.
UPDATE I: Preliminary Q3 worker productivity rose 3.0%, vs 2.4% increase expected.
UPDATE II: Manufacturing surges in Midwestern states.
Citing strong exports, hiring and faster ingredient deliveries, Midwest manufacturers reported their highest growth in four months in October, according to a widely watched economic report issued Wednesday by Creighton University.
Creighton’s Mid-America Business Conditions Index, which covers Minnesota and eight other central states, rose to 58.8 in October from 58.2 in September. It is the 11th consecutive month the index signaled strong economic growth for factories in the region.
Minnesota’s index fell to a still strong 56.3 in October from 59.4 in September as factories reported growth across nearly all measures. Any index above 50 indicates growth.
“Over the past 12 months, Minnesota expanded both durable and nondurable goods manufacturing. Gains were strong for food processors and medical equipment manufacturers,” said Ernie Goss, director of the Creighton Economic Forecasting Group.
For the nine-state region — Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Arkansas — Goss found that factory employment, exports, inventories and confidence levels swelled significantly last month while new orders and sales remained strong.

Democrat NY Sen. Schumer Created Diversity Visas Which Invited Alleged Killer to NY (UPDATE: Trump Tweets, Terrorist “came into our country through what is called the ‘Diversity Visa Lottery Program,’ a Chuck Schumer beauty.”)
DIVERSITY VISAS? REALLY, LIKE THE USA IS SOME HOW NOT DIVERSE?
Yesterday’s terror jihadist who killed 8 people and injured nearly a dozen was a lottery winner of the diversity visa program. Guess who helped creates it, Democrat Senate leader, N.Y. Sen. Chuck Schumer, then Rep. Schumer in the 1990′s. Really? We have a diversity visa program in the most diverse country in the world? Its time for this to be stopped and immigration be based solely on merit. 29-year-old terrorist Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov was the recipient of this program.
The Democrats’ Senate leader, N.Y. Sen. Chuck Schumer helped create the diversity visa program which reportedly provided a green card to the Islamic immigrant who allegedly killed eight New Yorkers on October 31.
The diversity visa program was created in 1990 by then-Rep. Schumer in response to Irish lobbies in his New York district. Twenty-seven years later, it annually awards 50,000 visas by annual lottery to entrants from around the world, ensuring a cascade of subsequent chain-migrants.
An August poll shows that only one-in-six Americans strongly favors the program, despite much political and media pressure to welcome migrants. Politico and Morning Consult conducted the poll of 1,992 registered voters, which showed:
Mark Levin Discusses the Terrorism by truck in NYC
Other polls show that the public strongly opposes elements of the program which offers green cards to people with few skills, little earning ability and little ability to assimilate into the United States’ non-Islamic society.
President Donald Trump and several GOP legislators, including Georgia Sen David Perdue and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, has called for the diversity visa program to be ended. But the program is praised by progressives for imposing variety on Americans’ civic society. According to a progressive website, Qz.com:
Supporters believe the DV program, despite its relatively small size is essential in keeping the US a truly multicultural society by providing an opportunity for people from communities that aren’t largely represented in recent immigration flows to have a shot at America.
Schumer’s diversity visa plan was included in the House-approved “Family Unity and Employment Opportunity Immigration Act of 1990” when it was combined with a proposal by a Democratic from Boston. The resulting “Schumer visa” measure was included in the completed Immigration Act of 1990, which also raised the annual inflow of legal immigrants up from 500,000 up to 700,000. The bill was signed by then-President George H.W. Bush.
The diversity visa program offers green cards to 50,000 lottery applicants each year. Lottery winners undergo a State Department interview and health check, and can then bring their spouses and minor children to the United States and get them on a five-year track to citizenship.
Once a winner and a spouse become citizens, they can import their parents, their in-laws and their children, plus the parents of their in-laws, such as the winner’s spouse’s sister’s husband’s parents. In turn, the relatives can later become citizens and import their relatives. The chain-migration process does not set any skill tests for admission, and so delivers a growing flow of unskilled and uneducated — and often ill, elderly and retired migrants — to the nation’s extensive welfare system.
UPDATE I: President Trump orders Homeland Security to step up ‘extreme vetting’ in wake of NYC terror attack.
President Trump announced that he has ordered Homeland Security to step up “extreme vetting” in the wake of the New York City attack that left eight people dead and 11 injured.
“I have just ordered Homeland Security to step up our already Extreme Vetting Program. Being politically correct is fine, but not for this!” he wrote.
Trump’s statement comes after a man described as a “lone wolf” deliberately drove a rented truck into a West Side bike path in lower Manhattan, in the first terror attack in New York City since 9/11, and just blocks from the World Trade Center.
Trump’s extreme-vetting policy on immigrants entails more stringent investigative measures intended to identify those who may sympathize with extremists or pose a national security risk to the United States.
On Wednesday, Trump called for “Merit Based immigration,” saying on Twitter that the driver in Tuesday’s attack “came into our country through what is called the ‘Diversity Visa Lottery Program,’ a Chuck Schumer beauty.”

Marck Levin Show 10/30/17 Discussing the Mueller Indictments … “This is about doing everything possible to make a case against the president of the United States when you don’t have a case against the president of the United States.”
Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin, the Great One, discusses the Mueller indictments and their lack of any Russian collusion with President Donald Trump. In fact, an independent counsel was not needed to even file such charges. Most, if not all of the things that Mueller indicted Manafort on took place when Robert Mueller was the head of the FBI and Barack Obama was in office. So why wasn’t Manafort charged then?
Mark Levine Show:
The mainstream media are forgetting crucial details about Paul Manafort’s indictment. If these conspiracy charges were serious, the statute of limitations would’ve legitimately run out. Special counsel Robert Mueller was serving as FBI director while Manafort was allegedly engaged in this criminal activity. The question is why wasn’t a case brought against Manafort when Mueller was in charge of the FBI and the statutes of limitations was a non-issue? That means somebody dropped the ball. And furthermore, President Trump had nothing to do with any of this, this predates his campaign. There’s no Trump world involved in any of this. This isn’t about justice or seeking the truth. This is about doing everything possible to make a case against the president of the United States when you don’t have a case against the president of the United States. The best they could do is dig up financial statements and have George Papadopoulos plead to a false statement. After that, Andy McCarthy a former prosecutor and contributor to National Review calls in to talk about the charges against former members of the Trump campaign. Later, we have Mark Warner alleging collusion, when even Mr. Mueller couldn’t prove collusion from a criminal aspect. There is no collusion but that is not stopping Warner. The bottom line is that the left wants to impeach Trump, and get him out. Finally, William Jacobson of LegalInsurrection.com calls in to talk about the smear effort with false and malicious accusations before he spoke at Vassar College.
