Harvard University Study Reveals Huge Extent of Anti-Trump Media Bias

According to a Harvard University study, the MSM bias against President Donald Trump is huge and unprecedented. If it seems like the MSM has it out for President Trump and reports pretty much every thing he does as negative, that is because they do. Just look at the charts below and see how the MSM reports on topics in a positive or negative slant and then take a look at how Trump compares to other presidents, especially Obama.

Keep this in mind when you watch the news. They are no longer reporting it, they are slanting it to fit their liberal, left-wing agenda. The MSM was AWOL for Obama’s eight years and the endless scandals like Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS-gate, let alone the lies of Obamacare. But for Trump, they do not even give him a chance. The MSM is working in lockstep with the Democrat party as their propaganda arm. Remember this, especially at election time.

A major new study out of Harvard University has revealed the true extent of the mainstream media’s bias against Donald Trump.

Academics at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage from Trump’s first 100 days in office across 10 major TV and print outlets.

It found that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98% of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations:

In America they analyzed CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.

They also took into account the BBC, the UK’s Financial Times and the German public broadcaster ARD.

Every outlet was negative more often than positive.

Only Fox News, which features some of Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters and is often given special access to the President, even came close to positivity.

DOJ Appoints Special Counsel Former FBI Director Robert Mueller for Russia Probe

After a death by a thousand Democrat, MSM and anti-Trump cuts, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as the special counsel to investigate the allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and so-called rumors of collusion with the Trump campaign. Mueller is considered an impartial and fair choice as he was appointed FBI Director by President George W. Bush in 2001 and served an extra two years past his ten year term during the Obama administration. Rosenstein said in a statement, that his decision to go forth with an Independent counsel was not that there was a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted, but because of the unique circumstances and the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command. Hmm, something you never heard the politicized DOJ say under Obama.

The United States Department of Justice has announced that a special counsel has been appointed to investigate Russian interference into last year’s presidential election and links or coordination with the campaign of President Donald Trump.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller was assigned by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to “oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, and related matters.”

In a statement, Rosenstein said, “My decision is not a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted. I have made no such determination. What I have determined is that based upon the unique circumstances, the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command.”

“I accept this responsibility and will discharge it to the best of my ability,” said Mueller in a statement.

Mueller will have 60 days to put together a budget for resources to conduct the investigation and that budget must be approved by Rosenstein. Attorney General Jeff Sessions previously recused himself from all matters related to the presidential campaign.

“Special Counsel Mueller will have all appropriate resources to conduct a thorough and complete investigation, and I am confident that he will follow the facts, apply the law and reach a just result,” said Rosenstein in the statement.

Just curious, will this mean the the LEFT will stop their Trump witch hunt now that they got what they wanted in an independent counsel? Not a chance. But what will Democrats and the LEFT do when the investigation turns up nothing? And say right before an election?

Okay common sense thinking people, let’s take a look at what former FBI Director James Comey really did here without the sensationalism and gotcha of the liberal MSM. The latest attempt to bring President Donald Trump down comes from a so-called memo from Comey that was leaked to the NY Times. As Fox News Anchor Gregg Jarrett stated in his well thought out commentary below, “Comey has put himself in a box.” Why did James Comey not present this obstruction with justice claims when they happened as he is required to by law? Good question. Maybe because it either never happened or he felt that the comments did not rise to such a level, not was their any intent. So why now then? Well that’s obvious, sour grapes. This is Comey’s revenge. In the end, some one broke a law in all of this and it appears to be James Comey.

This leaked memo speaks volumes of what was in charge of the FBI

Under the law, Comey is required to immediately inform the Department of Justice of any attempt to obstruct justice by any person, even the President of the United States.  Failure to do so would result in criminal charges against Comey.  (18 USC 4 and 28 USC 1361)  He would also, upon sufficient proof, lose his license to practice law.

So, if Comey believed Trump attempted to obstruct justice, did he comply with the law by reporting it to the DOJ?  If not, it calls into question whether the events occurred as the Times reported it.

Obstruction requires what’s called “specific intent” to interfere with a criminal case.  If Comey concluded, however, that Trump’s language was vague, ambiguous or elliptical, then he has no duty under the law to report it because it does not rise to the level of specific intent.  Thus, no crime.

There is no evidence Comey ever alerted officials at the Justice Department, as he is duty-bound to do.  Surely if he had, that incriminating information would have made its way to the public either by an indictment or, more likely, an investigation that could hardly be kept confidential in the intervening months.

But by writing a memo, Comey has put himself in a box.  If he now accuses the President of obstruction, he places himself in legal jeopardy for failing to promptly and properly report it.  If he says it was merely an uncomfortable conversation, he clears the president of wrongdoing and sullies his own image as a guy who attempted to smear the man who fired him.

Either way, James Comey comes out a loser.  No matter.  The media will hail him a hero.

Forget what the MSM says, James Comey is in a no win situation. He was duty bound by law to report such an obstruction of justice that the MSM is running with, yet he didn’t. He comes off looking small and smarmy trying to get his revenge for being fired. So we have an FBI Director who didn’t follow the law? The only thing we can surmise from all of this is that Comey thought anything Trump said was insignificant and that Trump broke no laws. Otherwise, why didn’t he act upon the so-called obstruction of justice when it occurred?

When are these leaked stories going to stop? Now the WAPO is reporting that President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week. According to the WAPO, this was according to current and former U.S. officials.

The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency.

“This is code-word information,” said a U.S. official familiar with the matter, using terminology that refers to one of the highest classification levels used by American spy agencies. Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”

The White House and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster deny the news story. McMaster stated that the news story was “false”. This is becoming ridiculous and dangerous what the liberal MSM and former Obama operatives and current government bureaucrats are doing who hate Trump. Never in all my years have I seen such an effort to undo the will of the people and an election.

Two other senior officials who were present, including the Secretary of the State, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Their on the record accounts should outweigh anonymous sources. There has been no one more vile and hateful for the Democrats in going after President Donald Trump than Maxine Waters. However, during a podcast with WAPO writer Jonathan Capehart even she had to admit when asked whether she had seen any evidence, either through the intelligence briefings, anything to back up any of the accusations that she has made regarding Russian-Trump collusion … Water’s answer was no. But of course since when did Democrats need evidence or facts to get in the way of their talking points?

That is why it is astonishing that the liberal MSM Washington Post opinion writer Jonathan Capehart left that significant admission made during his own podcast off his May 9 column about it. Sarcasm intended.

What we have is a lot of smoke that causes us to want to know more about what has happened. Why is it there are so many people around him are connected to oil? Why is it that Michael Flynn, who evidently has a great relationship with Putin, who has received payments for so-called speeches and who’s spent a lot of time in Russia and was accused of talking about sanctions, he lied about it and he got caught?
