One of the Best Lines of the Denver Presidential Debate … Romney Slams Obama,“You Don’t Just Pick Winners and Losers, You Pick Losers”

As the dust settled on last night’s Presidential debate in Denver, CO, it was obvious that Romney was a man with a plan and Obama looked like a kid who had studied the wrong chapters for a test and was left begging the moderator to ask the next question, wanting to use a lifeline and ask Bill Clinton what to say and looking to the MSM for the protective cover they have provided him for the past five years.

In the VIDEO below, Romney pounded Obama in the exchange over subsidies for oil vs. the $90 billion that Barack Obama gave to the failed “green” energy companies like Solyndra, Solar Trust, Abound Solar, What is the equivalent of 50 years of breaks. Then came one of the memorable lines of the night and it is about time some one called Obama on it. What better place than with 40-60 million viewers. Mitt Romney said of Obama last night, “You Don’t Just Pick Winners and Losers, You Pick Losers.” Ouch, that’s going to leave a mark.

President Obama was so thoroughly beaten last night that even the LEFT had to admit that Obama did a dismal job. During last nights debate I thought Obama was going to use his “LifeCall” medical alert device and say, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”.

Post Debate CNN Poll Has Romney With Landslide Win over Obama 67% to 25%

CNN conducts post Presidential debate pollROMNEY WINS 67% to 25% FOR OBAMA.

From start to finish of the 1st Presidential debate in Denver, Colorado, GOP Presidential challenger Mitt Romney was on the offensive and not only laid out his plan as to how be was going to get America back to work, grow the economy and make the United States energy independent, Romney lambasted Obama on his failed four years in office. At one point during the debate I thiought that Obama was going to throw in the towel as Romney KO’d BO. Barack Obama has had the past four years to make changes and has done little, what he has done has failed or made matters worse. Romney stated that more of the Obama status quo was bad for America.

It would appear that those watching the debates agreed with Mitt Romney as the early post debate, CNN polls have Obama winning the debate in a landslide. A CBS poll also had Obama winning big. How bad was it for Obama, even Chris Mathews after whining and losing his mind admitted Romney won.

“No presidential candidate has topped 60% in that question since it was first asked in 1984,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

While nearly half of debate watchers said the showdown didn’t make them more likely to vote for either candidate, 35% said the debate made them more likely to vote for Romney while only 18% said the faceoff made them more likely to vote to re-elect the president.

More than six in ten said that president did worse than expected, with one in five saying that Obama performed better than expected. Compare that to the 82% who said that Romney performed better than expected.

“It looked like Romney wanted to be there and President Obama didn’t want to be there,” noted Democratic strategist and CNN contributor James Carville. “The president didn’t bring his ‘A’ game.”

A CNN/ORC International poll of 430 people who watched the debate showed 67% thought Romney won, compared to 25% for Obama.

Romney’s strongest moments came in repeating his frequent criticism of Obama’s record, saying the nation’s high unemployment and sluggish economic recovery showed the president’s policies haven’t worked.

“There’s no question in my mind if the president is re-elected, you’ll continue to see a middle-class squeeze,” Romney said, adding that another term for Obama also will mean the 2010 Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, “will be fully installed.”

At another point, he noted how $90 billion spent on programs and policies to develop alternative energy sources could have been devoted to hiring teachers or other needs that would bring down unemployment.

Hot Air has numerous tweets of opinions of who won and impressions of the debate. Here are some of the doozies.

More tweets from CNN that show that Romney is a stronger leader than Obama.

Lefty Chris Matthews Loses His Mind on MSNBC Following Bad Obama Beat Down … Where Was Obama Tonight? Admits Romney Won Debate

Chris Matthew admits Romney won the Debate …

The LEFT has lost their collective minds tonight as President Barack Obama looked terrible and Mitt Romney sounded, acted and appeared to be more Presidential. OMG, below is must see VIDEO. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews did not have a tingle up his leg tonight although his heart rate may have been between 150-200. Matthews was frothing at the mouth as he had a post debate melt down wondering what in the hell Obama was doing during the debate.  What pained Chris Matthews to say was the following, “what was Romney doing tonight … HE WAS WINNING!!!”

Matthews talks, um excuse me, rants about a debate that is going on at MSNBC every night. Really? What was is that, the liberal love-fest of Obama and the carrying of his water? At the PJ Tatler states, there has been no debate at MSNBC for quite some time, if ever. Matthews  is caught in the past and longs for JFK. I wonder what Chris would ever do if JFK came back and saw the state of the Democrats party and registered as a Republican?

UPDATE I: From The American Thinker … Obama sycophant Andrew Sullivan tweeted,

Andrew Sullivan ?@sullydish
Look: you know how much I love the guy, and how much of a high info viewer I am, but this was a disaster for Obama. http://thebea.st/RdXvE9

UPDATE II: Buzz Feed’s Andrew Kaczynski says, “The MSNBC host said Obama can’t handle another two more debate performances like his debate tonight.”

CBS Snap Poll Following 1st Presidential Debate Shows Huge Romney Landslide, Romney 46% – Obama 22% (VIDEO)

Romney takes Obama to the woodshed … Romney finally has a chance to define himself and did it well.

WOW, just wow … CBS snap poll following tonight’s 1st Presidential debate, the ‘Duel in Denver’ has Mitt Romney with a huge victory. A CBS poll, yes CBS poll had Romney with a 46% to 22% victory over Obama.  In the end, it was not even that close. All during the different segments of the debate Romney schooled Obama in substance and style. It was Mitt Romney who looked Presidential as Obama looked weak, meek and without focus, ideas or any grasp of economy 101.

It would appear that the liberal MSM’s pronouncement that this election was in the bag for Barack Obama and over were a bit premature. After tonight’s impressive and strong debate by Romney … GAME ON!

Tonight was a huge win for Mitt Romney, but more importantly a win for America. Barack Obama had no place to hide tonight as he found it impossible to defend his record. Romney stated to Obama, you have been the President and in charge for the last 4 years, if you wanted to do anything to help America you could have done it. Obviously, Obama has not.

1st Presidential Debate … Mitt Romney Schools a Passionless, Flat, Economically Clueless Obama … Romney Wins Debate Going Away

MITT ROMNEY WINS FIRST DEBATE IN LANDSLIDE … TONIGHT ROMNEY DEFINED ROMNEY!!!

Tonight you witnessed what happens to a President when you cannot defend your record, the MSM is not their to bail you out, there is no teleprompter to read from and you actually have to face tough questions. Barack Obama has had a free ride from the MSM, until tonight and he folded like a cheap suit.

For anyone who watched tonight’s first 2012 Presidential debate between GOP challenger Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama, they walked away with the notion that Romney won the debate hands down. Even the most ardent liberals were perplexed and out of sorts as Obama seemed unprepared and at a loss for words when it came to the economy, federal debt and jobs. Obama struggled for words to describe how he would put America back to work. How bad was it for Obama? Lefty comedian and $1 million Obama donor Bill Maher made the following tweet … ” I can’t believe I am saying this, but Obama DOES need a teleprompter”.  Not only did he need the TOTUS, he needed a life line, call a friend and the help of the liberal corrupt media complex. Tonight Obama was exposed for the fraud and epic failed President that he truly is. Honestly, it was not so much that Obama was flat, or off his game as the MSM claims, its simply a matter that 4 years of a failed economy, jobs, debt and foreign policy is hard to defend when one has to face the music.

He did that in the crucial first 40 minutes of Wednesday night’s debate, addressing Obama respectfully, even warmly — but then tangling with a sometimes hazy and professorial Obama on taxes and deficits.

“You don’t just pick the winners and losers — you pick the losers,” he told Obama of his energy investments, sliding time and time again into a second person singular address calculated to level the rhetorical playing field.

Romney departed dramatically from the hard conservatism of his primary campaign, downplaying the scope of his tax cuts.

“There will be no tax cut that adds to the deficit,” he said, without fully explaining how he’d accomplish that.

After the first segment of taxes, Mitt Romnet had beaten uo Obama so badly that Baracjk Obama was begging the moderator Jim Leher to please for the love of God switch to another topic. Wow, the Emperor Obama has no clothes.

Mitt Romney slams Obama for Wasting 2 Years on Obamacare instead of focusing on jobs

As flat, uninformed and only using class warfare of Obama was, Mitt Romney was just the opposite. Romney came out of the box like the Energizer bunny and kept hitting Obama with his failed record and explained how he would fix America. Romney explained how he would sit down with Republicans and Democrats and bring leadership to Washington, DC. Romney stated he has done it before and he will do it again.

From American Power, Romney kicks Obama’s A$$ in first debate. Yea, what he said.American Power discusses that the LEFT knows that their Obamamessiah lost badly. They are losing their collective minds.

This is a devastating night for the left. It’s a collective meltdown over there. Ed Schultz just said that Mitt Romney was “in his wheelhouse on the economy.” And Chris Matthews was literally going ballistic. I’ll be looking for the video and will update.

More Denver Debate analysis from The American Thinker, “To my eyes, Obama looked uncertain and a little scared  — especially his eyes. Romney looked far more confident and in charge.’

Romney was aggressive, yet polite and friendly, and demonstrated a stronger knowledge of issues than the president did.

The body language clearly sbowed Romney was in charge. Obama frequently looked down when Romney was speaking or made a point, and Romney looked right at Obama with clear eyes.
