Real Hope & Change … A Majority of Americans Expect Obama to Lose in 2012

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus …

A majority of Americans expect Barack Obama is be a one term President. In a recent ABC-Washington Post poll, only 37% believe that Obama will be reelected in 2012, while 55% expect “The One” to be a one termer. What is most damning in this poll is that only 36% of Independents think he will win reelection, while 54% expect a GOP candidate to win. How bad is it for Obama when only 58% of Democrats expect Obama to win in 2012?

Just 37 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll say they expect Obama to win re-election in November 2012; 55 percent instead expect the eventual Republican nominee to win. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is asking the president about that result in an interview today.

It’s a challenging finding for the president because expectations can fuel voter enthusiasm – precisely the ingredient that led the GOP to its broad success in the 2010 midterms, when charged-up conservatives turned out while dispirited Democrats stayed home.

It does not take a brain surgeon, only a nonpartisan Obama supporter, to figure out that “We the People” are not better off today than we were before Barack Obama took office.Talk about desperation, Obama is calling himself the underdog in 2012. Please, Obama has the strength of the Presidency, the White House and the liberal MSM. Talk about setting the bar low. Then again, we should be used to it from the 9.1% unemployment, record deficit, record budget and record food stamp President.

President Obama said he will “absolutely” be the underdog in the 2012 election and admitted Americans are “not better off” than they were four years ago in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday.

“I think what we’ve seen is we’ve made steady progress to help the economy,” the president said, but the unemployment rate, currently at over 9 percent, remains “way too high.” He said his American Jobs Act will give “more consumers more confidence” and lead to much-needed economic growth.

As Weasil Zippers stated, who know that we could get a tingly feeling running up our leg, but the words Obama and one term in the same senstence certainly make that a reality.

Underdog? With all due respect Mr. President, you are not an underdog … you are a President who the American people have rejected soundly. Your economic policies have made matters worse, not better. Your big government, over regulations and green jobs efforts have failed miserably. You stated that you would reach across the aisle and have done nothing of the sort. At this point, even Democrats at looking to distance themselves from you.

President Barack Obama Even Losing Ground with Blacks … 58% “strongly favorable” Rating

Even Barack Obama’s most ardent supporters have lost faith in the President.

How bad is it these days for President Barack Obama when it comes to his political support? He has seen support wane with pretty much every demographic.  Obama is even floundering with political support from blacks, down a whopping 25%. According to a recent Washington Post-ABC poll, the President has dropped from a “strongly favorable” rating of 83%, about 5 months ago, to an amazingly low 58% presently.

Hey Peggy, how has Obama helped you since he became President?

New cracks have begun to show in President Obama’s support amongst African Americans, who have been his strongest supporters. Five months ago, 83 percent of African Americans held “strongly favorable” views of Obama, but in a new Washington Post-ABC news poll that number has dropped to 58 percent. That drop is similar to slipping support for Obama among all groups.

“There is a certain amount of racial loyalty and party loyalty, but eventually that was going to have to weaken,” said Andra Gillespie, a political scientist at Emory University, who studies African Americans. “It’s understandable given the economy.”

African Americans have always voted in lockstep with the Democrat party and especially came out in record numbers to vote for Barack Obama in 2008. However, all of Obama’s promises, all the rhetoric, and all the claims of hope and change have done nothing to help black Americans. As a matter of fact, the unemployment rate has become worse for black America under the regime of Obama. How will Obama say to blacks that their lives are better today than they were before he was elected? What more promises can he offer, he has failed on jobs?

While the African-American community has lessened the intensity of its support, its overall favorability towards Obama remains extremely high. Indeed, 86 percent of black voters say that they view the president at least “somewhat favorably.”

The jobless rate for African-Americans has been substantially higher than for the rest of America. In August, unemployment for the community jumped 0.8 month from the previous month to 16.7 percent. The unemployment rate for America overall is 9.1 percent.

The questions is, with such poor polling data, especially with black Americans, how many are really going to be inspired to vote for Obama in 2012? There was a historic election in 2008; however, since then Obama’s record as President has been far from stellar. Barack Obama received 95% of the black vote in 2008, now he only has a 58% “strongly favorable” … will blacks just stay home? One has to wonder just how many black Americans have secret buyer’s remorse?

President Barack Obama Sinks to All-Time Job Approval Low in Washington Post-ABC News Poll

Obama’s “Hope & Change” has turned to threats & fear and has resulted in all time polling lows …

According to the most recent WAPO-ABC News poll, President Barack Obama has sunk to an all-time low, or high, disapproval rating of 53%.  On handling the economy Obama has a 62% disapproval rating, creating jobs, 62% disapproval and handling the federal budget, 60% disapproval. Only 36% of Americans polled approve of Obama’s handling of the economy. Is it any wonder why Obama and his union minions have been set out to attack the GOP and Tea Party to divert attention from the President’s failed policies.

Full polling data can be seen HERE.

Public pessimism about the direction of the country has jumped to its highest level in nearly three years, erasing the sense of hope that followed President Obama’s inauguration and pushing his approval ratings to a record low, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

More than 60 percent of those surveyed say they disapprove of the way the president is handling the economy and, what has become issue No. 1, the stagnant jobs situation. Just 43 percent now approve of the job he is doing overall, a new career low; 53 percent disapprove, a new high.

Nearly 2/3′s of America disapproves of the job that President Obama has done in handling the economy. Americans disagree with the direction of the country and how Obama has handled his job. So that begs the questions, why should Republicans do more of the same of what Obama’s wants in fixing the economy? They answer is, they should not. There might be a few issues that they can agree on, but trillion $ stimulus or even 100′s of billions is out of the question.

How does Obama win in 2012 with a 53% job disapproval rating in the WAPO?
