POLITICO/Morning Consult Poll : GOP Gains on Generic Ballot & President Trump’s Approval Moves Upward

REVERSAL OF FORTUNE, REPUBLICANS ARE TRENDING UP

2018 midterm election blue Democrat tsunami? It appears that the so-called blue tsunami may not even be a small wave. It would seem according to the trending polls, it might just be a red wave. What a difference a Trump/GOP tax plan and growing economy makes. Or as Nancy Pelosi and Democrats call it, a “crumb” plan. According to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll, Republicans now lead Democrats in the Generic ballot 39% to 38%. The tide is changing as Americans are realizing Donald Trump is Making America great again.

Who would actually want Nancy “crumbs” Pelosi to be the Speaker?

The change in the electorate is remarkable. President Donald Trump has led the way with the GOP with a robust economy, low unemployment numbers, optimism from business and employees, a tax cut law that will affect 90% of Americans and bonus checks to millions of people. Trump and the GOP has been right on immigration and the dismantling of ISIS and their caliphate. Previously, in mid-December, 39% of voters said they trusted Democrats more to handle the economy, compared to 38% who said Republicans. Today following a booming economy, 43% say Republicans and only 32% say Democrats. Congressional Republicans also have a 9-point advantage on handling jobs, a 6-point lead on dealing with immigration and a 19-point lead on handling national security. These numbers for Republicans are only to get more positive as the economy grows.

Republicans have erased the Democratic advantage on the generic congressional ballot in a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll that, for the first time since April, also shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating equaling the percentage of voters who disapprove of his job performance.

Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided.

Voters are split almost evenly along party lines. Democratic voters break for their party, 85 percent to 5 percent, while Republicans similarly favor the GOP, 84 percent to 8 percent. Among independent voters, 26 percent would vote for the Democrat, 25 percent for the Republican and nearly half, 49 percent, are undecided.

The GOP’s 1-point advantage comes after three months of tracking in which Democrats maintained a lead ranging between 2 and 10 points on the generic ballot. That has been generally smaller than the party’s lead in other public surveys: The most recent RealClearPolitics average shows Democrats ahead by 7 points on the generic ballot, though that’s down from a high of 13 points late last year.

A previous Monmouth poll had Democrats only ahead by 2 points, after previously having a double digit lead. Who in their right mind would want Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the House again? If America actually makes that choice, say good bye to the gains of the economy.

CBS News/YouGov Poll … Trump State of the Union Address Gets 75% Approval Rating!!!

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS WAS A SMASHING SUCCESS … TRUMP IS MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

According to a CBS News/YouGov poll that was taken following last nights State of the Union Address, an overwhelming 75% of those polled approved of President Donald Trump’s speech, while only 25% disapproved. The libs at CBS were not available for comment after the amazingly great poll ratings for Trump. Across the board, President Trump received stellar marks as compared to what the liberal MSM, Democrats and the LEFT has been spewing against him. When asked whether Trump should be given credit for the economy, 54% said a lot, 18% said some and 13% said a little. Only 15% said not much or none. Wait until the Trump-GOP tax cuts take affect and we shall see these numbers go even higher. Also, a remarkable 72% said the were in favor of Trump’s immigration plan.

POLITICO/Morning Consult Poll: Majority of Voters in Several Polls Don’t Think Oprah Winfrey Should Run for the White House

THE LIBERAL PIPE DREAM, OPRAH FOR PRESIDENT …

From The Politico, not Fox News, not Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, but from the liberal Politico comes the following, a presidential run for Oprah Winfrey gets low ratings from voter. Add to this the Trump polling effect where individuals are less likely to say they are voting for Trump or say anything positive in public for fear of retribution. How did the 2016 polling go when it came to Donald Trump? Then there is that little Oprah-Weinstein issue that many voters don’t even know about.

Tweet Oprah Weinstein

Americans love Oprah Winfrey. But they aren’t exactly clamoring for the media mogul and former talk-show host to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.

A majority of voters across several polls don’t think Winfrey should run for the White House, according to polls conducted since Winfrey’s much-heralded speech at a Hollywood awards show launched a round of presidential speculation. Even among Democratic voters, more say she shouldn’t run for president than should.

Still, there’s enough evidence to continue fueling speculation about her political prospects. Winfrey performs well on polling ballot tests, tying or leading Trump in a number of surveys. The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows Democratic voters prefer her to a host of other potential candidates — except former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)

And despite the persistent disapproval of Trump’s job performance thus far, voters are still open to political neophytes as presidential candidates — though Democratic voters are more likely to say they want candidates with experience in elected office.

Perhaps more interesting in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll: Democratic voters actually prefer Winfrey to some of the party’s potential 2020 candidates. Winfrey would lead Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in a head-to-head primary matchup, 39 percent to 35 percent. And she has a big lead over Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), 44 percent to 23 percent.

But Winfrey trails both Biden, 54 percent to 31 percent, and Sanders, 46 percent to 37 percent — two of Democrats’ best-known possible candidates.

Florida Poll Shows President Donald Trump Would Easily Defeat Oprah Winfrey, 47.91% to 23.95%

ALTHOUGH ITS WAY TOO EARLY AND ONLY HYPOTHETICAL, THESE ARE INTERESTING POLL RESULTS

Battleground state of Florida: In a poll commissioned by the Central Florida Post, and performed by Florida based polling outfit Dixie Strategies, between President Donald Trump and liberal fantasy candidate Oprah Winfrey, the results were rather startling to those on the LEFT. The poll showed that President Trump would win easily in Florida against Oprah, 47.91% to 23.95%. Although such a poll is far too early and obviously hypothetical, it does present a snap-shot in time and the thinking of a state’s electorate. Oprah may be the LEFT’s dream, presidential candidate, even though they stated when Trump announced his candidacy that he had no experience. But it shows in state polls, not skewed national ones, maybe Oprah isn’t the people’s choice. This might just be a reality check for Oprah.

Poll_florida Trump Oprah

Donald Trump in the must-win state of Florida, according to our poll conducted by Dixie Strategies of 785 likely voters, would trounce Oprah Winfrey.

How bad? President Donald Trump would win with a whopping 47.91% to Winfrey’s 23.95%, with a theoretical third party candidate getting 14.83% and 13.31% of voters undecided.

“Donald Trump continues to hold his base of supporters, while it appears Floridians are not viewing Oprah as a serious candidate.”

Trump not only retains very favorable views from 70% of Republicans in the must-win state of Florida, he also maintains a higher favorability across party lines. President Trump is viewed as “very favorable” by 42.42% of voters, while Oprah is viewed “very favorable” by only 25.87% of Florida voters.

When those 25.87% of Winfrey supporters were asked about her close personal relationship with Harvey Weinstein, nearly 45% of her supporters said it would make them less likely to support her candidacy.

FAKE NEWS: US Liberal Mainstream Media is Now Considered Even More Biased than Pravda

THE AMERICAN MEDIA SHOULD BE SO PROUD … THEIR LIBERAL BIAS NOW RANKS THEM LOWER THAN PAVADA IN RUSSIA

According to the latest Pew Research poll the United States media is less trusted than media in any other country including Russia, Mexico, Ghana and Nigeria. Maybe even Haiti. The MSM in the U.S. has continued to be nothing more than the LEFT’s bias agenda for years; however, with the election of President Donald Trump, they have truly jumped the shark. The MSM does not care whether there are supportive facts or not in promoting their hate-Trump stories. Who cares whether the sources are credible? As long as the story-line fits the liberal media agenda, it is fit to print or show on TV. Sadly, the MSM has become nothing more than a political propaganda vehicle of the Democrat party.

Hmm, which makes former President Obama’s remarks about FOX News viewers not being like those that watch the MSM even more remarkable.

PEW media report politicss accurately

PEW Research:

Publics around the world overwhelmingly agree that the news media should be unbiased in their coverage of political issues, according to a new Pew Research Center survey of 38 countries. Yet, when asked how their news media are doing on reporting different political issues fairly, people are far more mixed in their sentiments, with many saying their media do not deliver. And, in many countries, there are sharp political differences in views of the media – with the largest gap among Americans.

To build off Pew Research Center’s earlier findings about U.S. news media habits and attitudes, this new cross-national survey begins to study these dynamics globally. The survey finds that a median of 75% across 38 countries say it is never acceptable for a news organization to favor one political party over others when reporting the news. Just 20% say this is sometimes okay. People in Europe show the greatest opposition to political bias in their news, including 89% in Spain and 88% in Greece who think this is unacceptable. In the United States, 78% say the news media should never favor one political party over another. In only five countries do at least three-in-ten believe it is okay to favor one side.
