Gallup Poll: Smaller Majority “Extremely Proud” to Be an American

On the eve of the 4th of July, America’s Independence Day … The LEFT is ruining this country.

According to a recent Gallup poll, only 54% of people say that they are “extremely proud” to be an American. This is down sharply following the 911 terror attacks in 2001 and the 70% who stated that they were extremely proud to be an American in 2003. The poll also showed that 27% say they are “very proud,” 14% say they are “moderately proud,” 4% are “only a little proud” and 1% state that they are “not at all proud.” The South is the most proud at 61%, then comes the Midwest, East and West at 55%, 50% and 46%, respectively.

Remember what Michelle Obama said in 2008, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country …”

So what is the reason why so many Americans are no longer extremely proud to be Americans? One would think that it could be a result of Barack Obama being President and his efforts to change America. But in looking at what parties say they are extremely proud to be an American. it is the Republicans at 68%, Independents at 53% and the Democrats bringing up the rear at 47%. So why are Democrats not proud? Is it because the Democrat party now resembles more socialism that the Democrat party of JFK?

Gallup_2015 Proud to be an American

As Independence Day approaches, most in the U.S. say they are proud to be an American, including a slight majority, 54%, who are “extremely proud.” The percentage saying they are “extremely proud” is slightly lower than in recent years and down from peaks at and around 70% between 2002 and 2004, after 9/11.

In addition to the 54% who are extremely proud to be an American, 27% say they are “very proud,” 14% say they are “moderately proud,” 4% are “only a little proud” and 1% state that they are “not at all proud.”

What is most telling of this Gallup poll is the age breakdown of those who say they are most proud to be an American. The younger the age demographic of this poll, the lower the level of being proud to be an American. With those who are 65 years of age and older, they are 64% “extremely proud” to be American, while the 18-29 crowd is at 43%. What else should we expect when they have been continually told be the LEFT, the liberal MSM, politicians, race-baitors and liberal politicians and educators that America is bad?

Once again we should send a shout out and a sarcastic thank you to the public schools and the liberal indoctrination that has passed for the education of children over the years. The liberals have successfully made the young not be proud of the country that provided them liberty and freedoms that they could never comprehend.

Former President George W. Bush Has a Greater Favorability Rating Than Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama

MISS HIM YET?

According to a recent CNN/ORC poll, former President George W. Bush has a greater favorability rating than both Barack Obama and 2016 Democrat wannabe president Hillary Clinton. GWB has a 52% favorably and 43 unfavorable … Obama has a 49% favorable and 49% unfavorable rating and a job approval of 45% approve, 52% disapprove. George W. Bush even polls better than the presumptive Democrat 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

President Barack Obama’s job approval numbers are sinking as American attitudes about the nation’s progress have taken a turn for the worse, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.

A majority of the public once again say things in the U.S. are going pretty badly and disapproval of Obama’s job performance has climbed back above 50% as well.

In fact, former President George W. Bush is more popular than Obama.

According to the poll, 52% of adults had a favorable impression of George W. Bush, 43% unfavorable. When Bush left office in 2009, only about one-third of Americans said they had a positive opinion of him. This new poll presents a notable shift as Bush’s overall favorability has remained well below 50% for much of his time as a presidential alum.

Overall, 47% say things in the country are going well, 52% that they’re going badly. That’s a reversal from March, when 53% said things were going well, the highest share to say so during Obama’s presidency. The shift comes across partisan and demographic lines, with no one group’s opinions driving the overall change.

Obama’s approval rating has suffered a similar blow.

While it’s dropped since April, going from a near-even 48% approve to 47% disapprove split to a negative-tilting 52% disapprove to 45% approve, the rising disapproval ratings come across party lines, from both men and women, from whites and non-whites.

Poll Shows that Democrat Front Runner Hillary Clinton is Not Honest and Trustworthy

IMAGINE THAT, HILLARY CLINTON IS NOT HONEST OR TRUSTWORTHY …

According to USA Today, the people do not view Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee for 2016, as honest or trustworthy. Say it isn’t so. They point two two polls, a CNN/ORC and ABC News/WAPO, where both show that more and more people believe she cannot be trusted. For the first time since declaring her 2016 run her unfavorable rating is now higher than her favorable. And you wonder why she refuses to answer the media’s questions or meet with We the People, without first having them cheery-picked. Could this be problematic for Hillary going forward as her credibility rating continues to go down? The story also discusses Jeb Bush’s polling issues as well; however, he is not the far and away front-runner of the GOP.

Hillary Clinton and die hard Democrats would say, what difference does it make, but Independents in a general election might have another thing to say when deciding their vote for an individual who obviously has trust issues, see Benghazi-gate, private email-gate, private server-gate and Clinton Foundation-gate, just to name a few.

Scouts honor, I am truthful. Ok, I lie, but what difference does it make.

A CNN/ORC poll  (pdf HERE) shows that Clinton — dogged by questions about missing emails and big-money contributions to Bill Clinton’s foundation — has seen her numbers drop on such issues as trustworthiness.

“A growing number of people say she is not honest and trustworthy (57%, up from 49% in March), less than half feel she cares about people like them (47%, down from 53% last July) and more now feel she does not inspire confidence (50%, up from 42% last March),” CNN reports.

An ABC News/Washington Post survey shows similar problems for the Democratic front-runner.

“She’s slipped underwater in personal favorability for the first time since her unsuccessful run for the presidency in 2008,” ABC reports. “She’s deeper in the hole for honesty and trustworthiness — down 5 points in just two months and 12 points in the last year.”

US Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) Wants a Pay Raise and a Congressional Living Wage …

US Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) wants a Congressional living wage …

You wonder why Congress has a 15% approval rating? Not only does Congress not do anything, only seem interested in maintaining their own power and when you count up the days work only about 1/2 a year … now US Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) wants a pay raise. Watch the VIDEO below of Hasting whining about his pay and saying that he thinks that Congress deserves a raise. Really? Congress makes $174,000 a year for working far less days than your average American. He thinks that this is not being paid properly. These people have helped destroy this country and now they want to be rewarded? This previously disgraced and impeached judge should be tossed out of office and make to work in the private sector, one he helped ruin. CONGRESS DOES NOT DESERVE A RAISE, THEY DESERVE TO BE THROWN OUT OF OFFICE.

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings made the politically tone-deaf case for raising salaries for members of Congress Monday, pointing to the high cost of living in the District of Columbia.

“Members deserve to be paid, staff deserves to be paid and the cost of living here is causing serious problems for people who are not wealthy to serve in this institution,” the Florida Democrat said at a Rules Committee meeting, referring to the average member’s $174,000 annual salary. “We aren’t being paid properly,” he later added.

The committee was considering the fiscal 2016 Legislative Branch appropriations bill, which sets the spending levels for Congress and legislative branch agencies. The bill includes a freeze on member pay, continuing one that has been in place since 2010 — and last year drew the ire of then-Rep. James P. Moran.

Pay raise? You know these people are getting monies that are not apart of their actual salary. They can write books, do speeches, etc.  Sorry Alcee, HOW ABOUT YOU GET A REAL JOB IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR!!! PAY RAISE MY BUTT!!!

Maybe Hastings should go back to taking bribes?

Huge Win for David Cameron and Conservatives win Majority as Tory Party Scores Big Victoty Over Labour Party and Polls

SO MUCH FOR POLLS … DAVID CAMERON AND CONSERVATIVES WIN BIG IN GREAT BRITAIN.

A POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE IN BRITAIN … Prime Minister David Cameron is headed back to 10 Downing Street after last nights big conservative party win across the pond. As reported at FOX News, British Prime Minister David Cameron and his Tory party scored a decisive victory over the opposing Labour Party, left far-left and far-right parties in the dust and defied pre-election polls  with a resounding election triumph he called “the sweetest victory of all.” Thankfully, the pre-election polls go it wrong. … so much for the whiz-kid poller Nate Silver who blew the polling … “Shortly after midnight, he was forecasting 272 seats for Conservatives and 271 for Labour. But when the sun rose in London on Friday, Conservatives had an expected 329 seats, against Labour’s 233.”

David Cameron has returned to Downing Street with the Tories having defied polls and won the general election.

The Conservatives made gains in England and Wales and are forecast by the BBC to secure 331 seats in the Commons, giving them a slender majority.

Labour leader Ed Miliband said he would stand down on Friday, saying his party must “rebuild” with a new leader.

Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has also said he will quit, with his party set to be reduced from 57 to eight MPs.

UKIP leader Nigel Farage is also quitting after he failed to win Thanet South, losing by nearly 2,800 votes to the Conservatives.

In other election developments:

The BBC forecast, with 643 of 650 seats declared, is Conservative 331, Labour 232, the Lib Dems 8, the SNP 56, Plaid Cymru 3, UKIP 1, the Greens 1 and others 19.
The Conservatives are expected to get a 37% share of the national vote, Labour 31%, UKIP 13%, the Lib Dems 8%, the SNP 5%, the Green Party 4% and Plaid Cymru 1%.

David Cameron – Big, Big win for Conservatives in the UK

Landslide: British PM Cameron, Tories trounce Labour party.

Aided by the Scottish National Party’s rout of Labour in Scotland, Cameron and the Tories left opponents on the right and left in tatters. The Labour Party lost 24 seats in Parliament according to early returns, and party leader Ed Miliband resigned from his role. Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg resigned after acknowledging a “cruel and punishing defeat,” in which his left-of-center part suffered its worst-ever defeat – dropping from 57 seats to just 8. On the right, UK Independence Party Leader Nigel Farage, a thorn in Cameron’s side, failed to win a seat and resigned as party leader.

The resounding victory left Cameron and his party with the needed 323 seats for a majority, meaning he won’t need to form a coalition government and now has a mandate to implement the party’s full agenda of cutting government, entitlements and taxes.

“I think this is the sweetest victory of all,” Cameron said. “There are so many things to be proud of in this result. The fact we held on in Scotland. The fact we extended our representation in Wales. The fact that candidates I have seen work so hard week in, week out, some of them year in, year out, have triumphed in so many seats.”
