Donald Trump Ties with Pope Francis in Gallup Poll for Second Most-Admired Man in the World
HOW FRIGHTEN, MORE PROOF THAT LOW INFORMATION VOTERS RULE THE DAY … COULD THERE POSSIBLY BE A MORE WORTHLESS POLL?
File this one under the you have got to be joking category. In a Gallup survey released Monday of the most admired men in America, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump earning the same share of votes of admiration as did Pope Francis. HUH? Making this poll even worse and a sign of the times that we have truly reached a new low in the United States, Barack Obama was the overwhelming #1 and socialist Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sander was #4. Are you kidding me? And if that poll was not bad enough, Hillary Clinton was named most admired woman.
If we think that a president who has fundamentally transformed America for the worse and has shredded the US Constitution, an attention seeking billionaire and a self described socialist are 3 of the top 4 most admired men in America, we are doomed as a country. How could anyone put politicians at the top of their admired list?
Americans named Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama as their most admired woman and man in the world in 2015, with Donald Trump earning the same share of admiration as Pope Francis, according to the results of the latest Gallup survey released Monday.
On the list of most admired women, the Democratic presidential front-runner earned 13 percent and was at the top of the annual poll for a record 20th time, seven more times than former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Obama earned 17 percent on the men’s side, his eighth time atop the list, tying for second most with former presidents Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan. Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower was named the most admired man 12 times.
Coming in second to Clinton on the list of women: 2014 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai with 5 percent, followed by Oprah Winfrey and first lady Michelle Obama tied with 4 percent. Below them is a range of political figures from around the world, from Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina to German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Myanmar politician Aung San Suu Kyi, all with 2 percent or fewer.
On the list of most admired men, Pope Francis and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump tied for second place with 5 percent each. Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders earned 3 percent, with Bill Gates at 2 percent. A mix of religious and political figures, including the Dalai Lama and George W. Bush, rounded out the top 10, with 1 percent each. For Trump, this is his fifth finish in the top 10, the other instances coming in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 2011.

CBS Poll: Ted Cruz Remains Ahead in Iowa with 40%, Trump Second at 31%
According to the latest CBS poll, Texas senator Ted Cruz remains in the lead in Iowa with 40 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers as opposed to Donald Trump coming in second with 31 percent. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is a distant third with 12%. If the polling continues to play out like this, an Iowa win will gain momentum for Cruz and although New Hampshire is probably not in play, South Carolina is.
What’s that sound? The establishment GOP’s collective stomach churning as conservative Ted Cruz could be the real deal for the GOP primary.
Ted Cruz maintains a strong lead over Donald Trump in Iowa, according to the results of a poll released Sunday.
The Texas senator, in the CBS poll, grabbed the support of 40 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers in Iowa. Trump is at 31 percent, followed by Marco Rubio at 12 percent and Ben Carson at 6 percent. Every other GOP candidate receives 2 percent or less in the poll.
The CBS poll follows last week’s Iowa Poll — which showed Cruz with a 10-point lead over Trump, 31 percent to 21 percent — and a Monmouth University poll that had him in first place with 24 percent among all Republican candidates.
Polls of Iowa and the country as a whole have painted two different pictures: Trump remains atop national polls.

NBC/WSJ Poll: Terror Fears Cause Obama’s Poll Numbers to Fall as Americans Realize He is Weak on Terrorism
AFTER 7 YEARS AMERICANS FINALLY REALIZE OBAMA IS ALL TALK AND NO ACTION ON TERRORISM …
According to a recent NBC/WSJ poll, Barack Obama’s job approval rating is down to 43%, while 51% disapprove. Making matters worse for Obama, Democrats and Hillary Clinton is that seven-in-10 Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, the highest percentage here since Aug. 2014. Gee America, you are just figuring this out now?
Americans have been rattled by the recent terrorist act in San Bernardino, California and are suddenly realizing that Obama has been all talk and no action when it comes to terrorism. One might call him the JV Commander in chief. Well America, you have no one to blame but yourselves. Obama promised to transform America and he has transformed it into a less safe place thanks to his moronic and weak policies in dealing with terrorism. How’s that ISIS JV team working out for you Mr. President?
The recent terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., have vaulted terrorism and national security to become the American public’s top concern, and they’ve helped drive President Barack Obama’s job rating to 43 percent — its lowest level in more than a year, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
What’s more, seven-in-10 Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction — the highest percentage here since Aug. 2014.
And 71 percent say the shootings and random acts of violence that have taken place this year — from Charleston, S.C., Oregon and Colorado, to the terrorist shootings in San Bernardino, Calif. — are now are now a permanent part of American life.
“For most of 2015, the country’s mood, and thus the presidential election, was defined by anger and the unevenness of the economic recovery,” says Democratic pollster Fred Yang of Hart Research Associates, which conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies. “Now that has abruptly changed to fear.”
That kind focus on security and terrorism “is a very different campaign than the one we thought we’d be running,” McInturff adds, referring to the 2016 presidential race.

Ted Cruz Soars to Front of the Pack in Iowa Poll at 31%, Donald Trump in Second at 21%
CRUZ CONTROL …
Republican presidential candidate and non-establishment GOP candidate Sen. Ted Cruz has surged into the lead in Iowa in the latest Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Iowa Poll. Ted Cruz has surged into the lead in Iowa with 31%, followed by Donald Trump at 21%. Cruz’s 21-percentage-point jump since October is the largest surge between Iowa Polls recorded in at least the last five presidential caucus campaigns.
Don’t think the GOP establishment isn’t still have heart failure with Cruz now in the lead. The gutless GOP fears Cruz just as much as Trump. Just imagibe a general presidential election with an actual Conservative running. Maybe this time the GOP will win as opposed to past elections with Romney and McCain.
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has surged ahead to become the latest front-runner in the campaign for the Iowa caucuses, dislodging Ben Carson and opening an impressive lead over a stalled Donald Trump, a Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Iowa Poll shows.
The firebrand junior senator from Texas is backed by 31 percent of those likely to attend the Republican caucuses that start the presidential nomination season on Feb. 1. Trump is a distant second at 21 percent, up slightly from 19 percent in October, but below his peak of 23 percent in August.
Cruz’s 21-percentage-point jump since October is the largest surge between Iowa Polls recorded in at least the last five presidential caucus campaigns. When first and second choices are combined, he has the support of 51 percent of likely caucus-goers. The senator’s great leap forward comes largely at the expense of Carson, as Iowa’s evangelicals appear to have picked the candidate they want to get behind. The retired neurosurgeon, now barely in third-place, is supported by 13 percent, down from the first-place showing he posted in October, when he was at 28 percent.
For Iowa’s conservative voters, “the coalescing has begun,” said J. Ann Selzer, founder of Selzer & Co., the West Des Moines-based firm that conducted the poll.
The same can’t be said for the voters who describe themselves as part of the Republican establishment, which the poll recorded as 29 percent of the likely electorate. For now, Trump has 23 percent from those who consider themselves Republican establishment voters, followed by Cruz at 22 percent. Senator Marco Rubio and his one time mentor, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, are both at 12 percent.

Donald Trump Leads in New in New York Times/CBS Poll … The Donald Up to 35% on Terror Concerns in America
THE MSM JUST DOESN’T GET IT AS TRUMP LEADS IN NYT/CBS POLL …
Like him, hate him or those that don’t understand him … Donald Trump speaks to many Americans and for many Americans, especially when it comes to terrorism and the safety of the United States. This as Obama has dithered for 7 years and made America less and less safe.
According to the most recent New York Times/CBS poll, Donald Trump is in the lead, mainly due to new terror concerns in the United States. As stated by Hot Air, “Americans are more fearful about the likelihood of another terrorist attack than at any other time since the weeks after Sept. 11, 2001.” According to the poll, 35% of Republican primary voters support Trump, up 13 points since October, and his highest level of support in CBS News polling. Why the drastic increase? Because Donald Trump is willing to say what many Americans are thinking and too many PC establishment and gutless Republicans are unwilling to. Like it or not, as the MSM is just befuddled by Trump’s continued rise, the American people are afraid and terrorism is at the forefront of the issues as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Democrats, the MSM and establishment republicans all look weak and more concerned about being politically correct than they do about the safety of everyday Americans.
Americans are more fearful about the likelihood of another terrorist attack than at any other time since the weeks after Sept. 11, 2001, a gnawing sense of dread that has helped lift Donald J. Trump to a new high among Republican primary voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
In the aftermath of attacks by Islamic extremists in Paris and in San Bernardino, Calif., a plurality of the public views the threat of terrorism as the top issue facing the country. A month ago, only 4 percent of Americans said terrorism was the most important problem; now, 19 percent say it is, above any other issue.
Mr. Trump, who has called for monitoring mosques and even barring Muslims from entering the United States, has been the clear beneficiary of this moment of deep anxiety. More than four in 10 Republican primary voters say the most important quality in a candidate is strong leadership, which eclipses honesty, empathy, experience or electability. These voters heavily favor Mr. Trump.
The survey was largely conducted before Mr. Trump’s proposal, announced Monday, to temporarily block Muslims from entering the country.
Even Hillary Clinton now recognizes something stirring in the electorate that Mr. Trump had clearly tapped into. And this is where politicians get it wrong, their handlers get it wrong and the media gets it wrong. Trump did not focus poll to see what to say or what topic to talk about, the political outsider said what was on his mind and what was obviously on the mind of the American people.
