NBC/WSJ Poll: Political Outsider Ben Carson Surges Into the Lead of National GOP Race with 29%
THERE APPEARS TO BE A NEW GOP FRONT RUNNER …
According to a NBC/WSJ poll, the ultimate outsider and anti-establishment presidential candidate Ben Carson has surged into the lead with 29%, followed by Donald Trump at 23%, Marco Rubio at 11% Ted Cruz at 10% and Jeb Bush at 8%. Also, Carson polls at 50% as to who Republican voters select as their first or second choice. It is becoming apparent in many polls that Carson is trending to be the front-runner for the GOP. Even though, most national polls have shown Trump comfortably ahead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination since July, Carson has recently made strong strides in Iowa polls and some national ones. Also, according to the Politico, Carson is making huge strides in campaign fundraising.
However, how long will it be before the Democrat media complex begin their assault on Carson? Something the liberal MSM never did with Barack Obama when he ran in 2008 or 2012. And will they be called racist for attacking him as many were when they criticized Obama’s policies and liberal agenda?
Ben Carson has surged into the lead of the Republican presidential race, getting support from 29 percent of GOP primary voters, according to a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
That’s the highest percentage any GOP candidate has obtained so far in the survey.
Carson’s 29 percent is followed by Donald Trump at 23 percent, Marco Rubio at 11 percent, Ted Cruz at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 8 percent. These findings are similar to a New York Times/CBS poll released last week, which also showed Carson in first place in the national GOP contest.

NBC/WSJ Poll: Donald Trump & Ben Carson Lead GOP Race … Hillary Clinton Loses Ground to Bernie Sanders
THE GOP OUTSIDERS LEAD THE PRESIDENTIAL POLLS …
A new NBC/WSJ poll has some interesting trends on both sides of the aisle. On the Republican side, 3 of the 4 leaders of the pack are political outsiders. The poll has Donald Trump at number one with 21%, Ben Carson a close second with 20% and Carly Fiorino and Sen. Marco Rubio with 11%. So why has Ben Carson closed the gap on The Donald? Could it possibly be as opined by Pamela Gellar that, “the emperor has no clothes, and Carson was the only one brave enough to say it, to violate the sharia (‘do not criticize Islam’).” Of course it was Donald Trump who brought the issue of illegals to the political conversation. For some reason establishment candidates have an issue in discussing and taking a stand on the issues that matter to “We the People”.
With the Democrats, scandal plagued Hillary Clinton still leads socialist Bernie Sanders, bit only by a 7% with yet to announce Joe Biden in the race. As Clinton poll numbers tank, she was forced to take to the Sunday talk shows and try to tell the American people that she has been transparent. LOL!!! However, if and when Biden ever does announce his presidential run, the Democrat polls will completely have a shake up with most likely Biden being on top. Imagine that, crazy uncle Joe Biden is the savior of the party.
Donald Trump and Ben Carson are running neck and neck in the national Republican presidential horserace, while Carly Fiorina is now tied for third place with Marco Rubio, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
And on the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton has lost ground to Bernie Sanders — she leads him by just seven points with Joe Biden in the race, and 15 points without the vice president. That’s down from Clinton’s 34-point lead over Sanders in July and her whopping 60-point lead in June.
In the GOP race, Trump is the first choice of 21 percent of Republican primary voters — followed by Carson at 20 percent and Rubio and Fiorina tied at 11 percent each.

Donald Trump Surges in New NBC News/WSJ Poll in GOP Primary Race
Just ahead of the first Republican primary debate this week, according to a recent NBC News/WSJ Poll, businessman Donald Trump has surged into the lead. Trump garnered 19% of the vote, while Jeb Bush was second with 14% followed by Ben Carson – 10%, Ted Cruz – 9%, Mike Huckabee – 6%, Rand Paul – 6% and Marco Rubio – 5%. Trump has bewildered the pundits and so-called political experts with his strong polling efforts. However, like him or hate him, the reason why Trump is resonating with so many Americans is because of his unfiltered, no-PC commentary. However, at some point he is going to have to present actual solutions and how he would do things, not just ripping the current political establishment.
Days before the first Republican debate, Donald Trump has surged into the national lead in the GOP primary race, with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush following, a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll shows.
Trump is the first choice of 19 percent of GOP primary voters, while 15 percent back Walker and 14 percent back Bush. Ten percent support retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
All other Republican candidates earn single digit backing. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is favored by nine percent of primary voters; former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul are tied with six percent support; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio clocks in at five percent;

NBC/WSJ Poll: Large Majority of Americans Support Barack Obama Mission to Destroy ISIS, But Have No Confidence That He Can Do So
THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER ELECT, LET ALONE REELECT A COMMUNITY AGITATOR TO BE PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER IN CHIEF … A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE.
It is a sad state of affairs in the White House these days and the people have lost confidence in President Barack Obama. In the most recent NBC/WSJ poll, although 62% of voters say that they support Obama’s decision to take action against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, however, even more, 68%, say they have little to some confidence that he can reach his goals of degrading and eliminating ISIS. Sadly, that seems to be Obama’s own opinion as well with his mixed messages and a plan that counts on premises that he was against just months ago.
It is hard to win a war on terror when you cannot even bring yourself to say it.
Nearly 70 percent of Americans say they lack confidence that the U.S. will achieve its goals in fighting the terrorist group ISIS, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll. The findings come in the wake of President Barack Obama’s national address announcing new measures to combat the Sunni militants.
Pressure is mounting on the U.S. and its allies to cripple the militants, who have waged a brutal campaign across Syria and Iraq. ISIS already has beheaded two American journalists and on Saturday released a video showing the execution of a third Westerner, British aid worker David Haines.
The poll – conducted before the latest execution emerged – showed that a combined 68 percent of Americans say they have “very little” or “just some” confidence that Obama’s goals of degrading and eliminating the threat posed by ISIS will be achieved. Just 28 percent said they had “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence. Still, 62 percent of voters say they support Obama’s decision to take action against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, while 22 percent oppose it.
The NBC/WSJ poll also shows that just 38% of voters approve of Obama’s job in handling foreign policy.Which is actually higher than the most recent FOX News poll that has Obama’s approval rating in dealing with foreign police at 34% approve and 59% disapprove.

NBC/WSJ Poll: Barack Obama Approval Rating Hits All-Time Low … Also, 71% Say Country Headed in Wrong Direction
AMERICANS ARE FINALLY FED UP WITH BARACK OBAMA’S DISASTROUS PRESIDENCY … HOW’S THE “HOPEY-CHANGEY” STUFF WORKING OUT FOR YA?
In the most recent NBC/WSJ poll, Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit an all-time low as only 40% approve while an overwhelming 54% disapprove. It appears the American people have finally grown weary of Obama’s disastrous presidency and 6 years into “Hope and Change,” Barack Obama has no one else left to blame but himself. He has had his opportunity to make positive change, and has only made things worse. An amazing 71% say that the country is headed in the wrong direction, while only 21% say we are on the right track. This number can be easily explained when individuals looks at the domestic and foreign policy issues and see nothing positive. The recession continues as the real unemployment rate is closer to 18%, the US debt continues to spiral out of control, median incomes are down, the US-Mexican border crisis, scandals abound and the the Middle East on the brink, failures in Iraq and Afghanistan, rise of terrorism and Obama siding with, not our allies. Even liberal Democrats have come to the reality that he is nothing but a liar.
Other poor poll results for Barack Obama handling domestic and foreign policy issues:
- The economy: 53% disapprove – 42% approve
- Foreign policy: 60% disapprove – 36% approve
Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and nearly 80 percent are down on the country’s political system, according to the latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll.
The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up.
“We’re in the summer of our discontent,” said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “Americans are cranky, unhappy… It is with everything going on the world.”
What’s more, a combined 71 percent say the recession personally impacted them “a lot” or “just some,” and 64 percent say it’s still having an effect on them.
Then there are these numbers in the poll:
- 40 percent say someone in their household lost a job in the past five years;
- 27 percent say they have more than $5,000 in student-loan debt for either themselves or their children;
- 20 percent have more than $2,000 in credit card debt they are unable to pay off month to month;
- 17 percent say they have a parent or a child over 21 years old living with them for financial or health reasons.
Check out the average job approval polling at RCP, if not for that bias Republican Rasmussen poll, Obama’s average approval would be at 40%.
