Gerald Ford, 93, Former President Dies at Home

Gerald Ford, the accidental President, died at his home in Rancho Mirage, California at 6:45 PM last night. He served the country after the Nixon resignation and provided a needed bridge during the turmoil. Ford had an interesting and varied life, playing football for Michigan while in college, serving as a congressman for many years, and was the last living member of the Warren Commission that investigated the assasination of John F., Kennedy in the 1960’s.

The nation’s 38th president, and the only one not elected to the office or the vice presidency, died at his desert home at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
“His life was filled with love of God, his family and his country,” his wife, Betty, said in a statement.
Ford was the longest living former president, surpassing Ronald Reagan, who died in June 2004, by more than a month.
Ford’s office did not release the cause of death, which followed a year of medical problems. He was treated for pneumonia in January and had an angioplasty and pacemaker implant in August.

Peter Boyle, Dead at 71

Peter Boyle, the actor who played Raymond Barones father, passed away last night after a battle with multiple myeloma and heart disease. The comedic actor reminded me so much of my childhood days on Long Island with the friends father or grandfather yelling sarcastic comments off the couch whenever the mood struck. Yet at the end of the day, he was everybodies favorite as long as the withering tongue wasn’t aimed at your direction.

Boyle, who had many other roles throughout a long career, from Young Frankenstein to Taxi Driver will be missed. RIP Peter Boyle.

Peter Boyle, the actor who transformed from an angry workingman in “Joe” to a tap-dancing monster in “Young Frankenstein” and finally the comically grouchy father on “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has died. He was 71.

Boyle died Tuesday evening at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He had been suffering from multiple myeloma and heart disease, said his publicist, Jennifer Plante.

“It’s like losing a spouse,” Doris Roberts, who played his wife on “Raymond,” said in a statement. “I’m going to miss my dear friend, so unlike the character he played on television. He’s a brilliant actor, a gentleman, incredibly intelligent, wonderfully well read and a loving friend.”

A member of the Christian Brothers religious order who turned to acting, the tall, prematurely balding Boyle gained notice in the title role of the 1970 sleeper hit “Joe,” playing an angry, murderous bigot at odds with the emerging hippie youth culture. via AccessAtlanta.

Award winning journalist Ed Bradley has passed away at the age of 65. Bradley passed away from complications to leukemia at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. So many of us grew up with Ed Bradley watching 60 Minutes. He was truly a fine journalist and man. Daniel Smith, Son of Anna Nicole Smith Dies While Visiting Mother in Bahama Hospital

According to reports, 20 year old Daniel Smith, the son of former Play Boy playmate Anna Nicole Smith, died of a “massive heart attack” while visiting his mother in a Bahama hospital. Daniel Smith was visiting his mother in the hospital who had just recently gave birth to a baby girl.

Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son died of a “massive heart attack” while visiting his mother and newborn sister in their hospital room over the weekend, according to media reports.

Daniel Smith had flown to the Bahamas on Saturday to join his mother and was in her hospital room Sunday when he suddenly collapsed.

According to The Nassau Guardian, sources say Daniel reportedly suffered a “massive heart attack” and his mother made an unsuccessful attempt to revive him.

It has not yet been determined as the exact cause of death. An autopsy has not yet been performed. As with any parent who suffers the death of their child, Anna Nicole Smith is reported to be heart-broken. What a bittersweet week for Anna Nicole Smith. The birth of a baby girl only to be followed by the death of her son, her “pride and joy”.
