Is Barack Obama Really Make Income Inequality a Main Topic at SOTU Address When it Has Increased Under his Presidency? Income Gap Widened Under Obama

Like everything Barack Obama has touched or claims he wants to make better, has become worse under his presidency …

The Divider in Chief Barack Obama is back to his old games of blaming the rich for the evils of society. What else is Obama going to do when he is an abject failure who has only made matters worse since he has been in office? Obama rails about income inequality and that it is the worse problem of out time, yet he is responsible for making the gap wider. From the president who makes class warfare part of his daily agenda and who claims he is for the common man, while demonizing the rich, Barack Obama has widened the income gap during his presidency turning the gap into a canyon.

Income inequality — the gap between the rich and poor — is an issue U.S. presidents of both parties have spoken of for years.

President Clinton touted, toward the end of his term, that wages were rising “at all income levels” for the first time in decades. President George W. Bush, toward the end of his, pondered the best way to respond to income inequality, noting some policies “lift people up” and some “tear others down.”

But perhaps no president has hammered the issue as emphatically as President Obama.

In his 2012 State of the Union address, Obama said: “The defining issue of our time is how to keep that promise alive. No challenge is more urgent. No debate is more important. We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well, while a growing number of Americans barely get by, or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, and everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules.”

But a look back shows that income inequality has grown, not shrunk, under the current president.

“All told, income inequality has tended to get worse under President Obama,” American Enterprise Institute President Arthur Brooks said.

According to a recent FOX News poll, Barack Obama polls miserably on doing his job on the issue of income inequality. 52% disapprove with how Obama has handled income inequality and only 39% approve. So with Obama failing at an issue he claims to care about, how does he even have the audacity to bring the issue up at the State of the Union Address? Obama’s economic policies have made things worse for those lower income earners, while he has made the Wall Street fat cats richer. Hmm, but I thought Obama hated the rich? Obama has falsely propped up the stock markets thanks to the fed’s quantitative easing which only made the top 5% and 1% more and more money. It is those folks who can afford to take risks in the markets. However, for the average people who Obama claims to care about and tries to talk a good game, according to the recent Fox poll, 74% still feel like the country is in a recession. But don’t worry America, Obama has the answer to fixing income inequality … raising the minimum wage. Good grief, really! With so many people unemployed or underemployed, with so many Americans on food stamps and with so many people having just given up and not even in the labor force, why wouldn’t the gap be larger? When a Democrat party sets out to create a government dependent class of people, why is it that much of a surprise that the gap widens? Recessions affect the middle and lower classes the most.

U.S. income inequality, on rise for decades, is now highest since 1928.

Using tax-return data from the IRS, Saez has built extensive income-distribution datasets going back 100 years. He defines “income” as pre-tax cash market income — wages and salaries; dividends, interest, rent and other returns on invested capital; business profits; and realized capital gains. He excludes Social Security payments, unemployment benefits and other government transfer payments, which are more substantial today than before the Great Depression.

In 1928, the top 1% of families received 23.9% of all pretax income, while the bottom 90% received 50.7%. But the Depression and World War II dramatically reshaped the nation’s income distribution: By 1944 the top 1%’s share was down to 11.3%, while the bottom 90% were receiving 67.5%, levels that would remain more or less constant for the next three decades.

But starting in the mid- to late 1970s, the uppermost tier’s income share began rising dramatically, while that of the bottom 90% started to fall. The top 1% took heavy hits from the dot-com crash and the Great Recession but recovered fairly quickly: Saez’s preliminary estimates for 2012 (which will be updated next month) have that group receiving nearly 22.5% of all pretax income, while the bottom 90%’s share is below 50% for the first time ever (49.6%, to be precise).

Let Them Eat Cake … Obama’s and Biden’s Spent $295,437 On Just One Vacation Weekend

Let Them Eat Cake, But they are for the middle class …

As most Americans struggle to find full time employment, wonder how they are going to afford healthcare coverage after losing their insurance they they liked thanks to Obamacare, worry about becoming part of  or being apart of the record number of Americans on food stamps or wonder why the federal debt is at $17.3 trillion and counting … The Obama’s and Biden’s manage to take some pricey weekend vacations on the tax payer’s dime. According to the Washington Examiner, via Judicial Watch, three separate jaunts taken by President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden during last year’s Presidents Day weekend cost at least $295,437.

Just more SACRIFICE  and skin in the game from King & Queen Obama, and their court jester, Biden.

Presidents Day seems to have no equal when when it comes to how the occupants of the White House and vice president’s residence vacation.

According to new records obtained by the taxpayer watchdog group Judicial Watch, three separate jaunts taken by President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden during last year’s Presidents Day weekend cost at least $295,437.

And that’s mostly just for security, not Air Force One or other official costs.

The records were obtained from the U.S. Secret Service and details some of the “security and/or other services” of Obama’s mid-February 2013 golf trip to West Palm Beach, Fla., the annual Aspen, Colo. ski trip taken by the first lady and her daughters, and the Biden family trip, also to Aspen.

According to Judicial Watch, the president’s trip cost the Secret Service $98,135.79, including $32,406.50 for the flights, $16,466.25 for rental cars, and $48,490 for hotel rooms.

The first lady’s trip totaled $81,523.64, including $13,221.30 in flights, $3,925 in rental cars, and $64,377.34 in lodging.

And the Biden ski weekend cost $115,777.61, including $5,315 in flights, $92,596 in accommodations, and $17,866.61 in rental cars.

However, the sad reality is that it might be cheaper and better for America if we just paid them to be on vacation for the rest of Obama’s second term in office.

Gallup: 65% of Americans Dissatisfied With the Size and Power of the Federal Government … Americans Fed Up with Obama and Big Govt Liberalism

According to the most recent Gallup poll, not only are an overwhelming number of Americans dissatisfied with how the US federal government works, they are also extremely dissatisfied with the size and the power of the government as well.  Two-thirds of Americans, or  66%,  are unhappy with the size and power of the federal government. This is a direct repudiation of liberalism and Nanny state, Big government under Barack Obama.  No greater disapproval of the people of Big government and federal powers run amok are scene by the very existence of Obamacare, its failed roll-out and failed promises. Of course there is also the IRS and NSA scandals that Americans see as the feds having far too much power as well.

Sixty-five percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the nation’s system of government and how well it works, the highest percentage in Gallup’s trend since 2001. Dissatisfaction is up five points since last year, and has edged above the previous high from 2012 (64%).

One reason Americans are dissatisfied with how the government system is working is that they believe it is too big and powerful. Two-thirds of Americans (66%) are unhappy with the size and power of the federal government. These views potentially hamper President Barack Obama’s ability to propose large-scale government solutions in his State of the Union speech next week. However, this problem is not a new one for the president. Roughly two-thirds of Americans have expressed this view consistently since at least 2011, after the measure jumped a full 10 points between 2008 and 2011.

I doubt whether Americans want a different form of government like a monarchy or socialism, what they want is a competent and effective Republic in the manner in how Our Founding Father’s envisioned. Americans do not want an elitist government class who are out of touch with the people. As stated at The Politico, 53% of registered voters in a Quinnipiac poll do not believe that the Barack Obama administration has been competent in general.

American voters give President Obama a negative 40 – 54 percent approval rating, compared to 41 – 53 percent January 8, and 38 – 57 percent December 10, indications that his plunge has leveled off.

But voters give Obama his lowest grades for their top priorities:

Negative 39 – 56 percent for his handling of the economy;
Negative 36 – 59 percent for his handling of healthcare;
Positive 48 – 41 percent for handling terrorism;
Negative 40 – 49 percent for foreign policy;
Negative 39 – 47 percent for handling Iran.

Gallup: Barack Obama Averages 45.8% Job Approval in Year Five … Most Recent Quarterly Average was 41.2%

HOW IN THE HELL DID THIS GUY GET REELECTED AGAIN???!!!???

How does a president who does not average anywhere close to 50% get reelected? However, will Obama’s charmed political career due to some less than truth telling ultimately shred the Democrats in 2014, Real Clear Politics seems to think so.  The downward spiral of Obama’s polling numbers will have a political consequence on him and fellow Democrats. Let’s just hope the GOP does not manage to pull defeats from the jaws of victory.

I noted at the end of last year that the Senate playing field in 2014 is substantially worse for Democrats than it was in 2010. If Democrats ultimately suffer losses in marginal seats at the rate they did in 2010, we’d expect them to lose nine to 10 seats. This time, I’m going to take a slightly different tack, and look at these races from the point of view of the president’s job approval.

Gallup_QTR_approval poll

Chart via Gallup

From Gallup:

President Barack Obama averaged 45.8% job approval during his fifth year in office. That is down more than two percentage points from his fourth-year average, and slightly better than his career-low 44.4% in his third year.

From a historical perspective, Obama’s fifth-year approval average is in the lower range. It is similar to George W. Bush’s 45.7%, but lower than those for Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. Obama’s fifth-year average exceeds Richard Nixon’s 41.1% in the year ending Jan. 19, 1974. Nixon’s fifth-year approval rating reflected declining support as the Watergate scandal unfolded, but his fifth year ended well before he resigned from office.

From the historical polling below, it would appear that Barack Obama is not the one we have been waiting for. In fact, Obama is the one we can’t wait to get rid of. Obama has been a total and complete failure and a fraud.

Barack Obama, the Divider in Chief: Obama Blames Racism Rather than Poor Job Performance For His Lower Approval Ratings

Once again Barack Obama cries racism instead of taking responsibility for his poor job performance … Obama plays the race card yet again.

In an interview with The New Yorker, Barack Obama blamed racism for his falling job approval and popularity numbers. Racial tensions is the reason why his popularity among white voters has waned within the past two years, are you kidding me? Sorry, but this man is a despicable human being and a poor excuse for a president who would continually try to divide a country between races and blame racism for his poor job as president. Disgusting!!! Obama thrives off of using the race card. This is why you never elect a community agitator as president.

Of course Obama could not look at the obvious to determine why his popularity among white voters has fallen in the past couple of years. Certainly it has nothing to do with the on going disastrous economy and Obama’s failure to create jobs. Also, it has nothing to do with Obama’s lies to the American people regarding Obamacare and that you could keep your insurance plan, if you liked it. It has nothing to do with other scandals like IRS-gate, Benghazi-gate and NSA-gate, where Americans no longer consider Obama trustworthy. And of course his failure in foreign policy has nothing to do with it either.

A note Barack Obama, when one is given the benefit of the doubt and then fails miserably on all aspects of their job, including their signature piece of legislation, you are deemed a failure and lose the support of the people.

Obama-Race-Card

President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine’s website today.

“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition.

“Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,” Obama said in his most direct comments on how race has affected his political standing since he’s been in office.

By the way, it is not just white voters where Obama has fallen badly in the polls. Barack Obama is down 23 points with Hispanics as well. Is that racism too? So are all of the following from the chart below racist too … they all have lower Obama approval numbers than 2012, including Blacks, Hispanics, Non-whites, women, men, Independents, moderate Democrats … pretty much everyone.
