Way to Stay Classy Democrats … Bill Clinton Politicizes Hurricane Sandy, Compares Romney Election to Hurricane Sandy

I guess when Obama and Democrats accuse Romney of murder, being compared to a deadly hurricane is par for the course.

It did not take long at all for Democrats to politicize Hurricane Sandy. Yesterday, former president Bill Clinton used the threat of the pending hurricane to compare to next week’s Presidential election.Comparing the election to a deadly hurricane, really Mr. Clinton? Way to keep in classy Slick Willy.

“We’re coming down to the 11th hour. We’re facing a violent storm,” Clinton said according to the Connecticut Mirror. “It’s nothing compared to the storm we’ll face if you don’t make the right decision in this election.”

Although, Clinton says that unless the “right” decision is made we are facing a storm worse than Hurricane Sandy. Maybe he is referring to Obama’s reelection as what could be worse?

It was a storm like that had never been seen before as Hurricane Sandy left death and destruction in her wake. At least 17 people so far have been confirmed dead; however, it is hard to believe that this number will not rise. Power is out across the east coast from the Carolina’s to Ohio to NY and NJ to New England. Levees are reported to have broke in northern New Jersey and flooded the town of Moonachie. A terrible fire ignited in Breezy Point, Queens in New York City that destroyed at least 50 homes.So far no casualties have been reported; however, due to power outages and darkness, communication is at a minimum.

The neighborhood, Breezy Point in the borough of Queens, had been extensively flooded by Sandy’s record storm surge, and firefighters were hampered in their efforts to bring the blaze under control, a spokesman for the New York Fire Department said.

No casualties were immediately reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.

The Weather Channel: Superstorm Sandy: Status and Impact Maps

Numerous towns along the New Jersey shore, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, flooded with Monday’s morning high tide. The Monday evening high tide brought historic storm surge flooding to the New York City metro area.

Monday night, all-time record tide levels were set at The Battery in Lower Manhattan, breaking a record from 1821, as well as Sandy Hook, N.J., shattering the previous record from the Dec. 1992 Nor’easter and Hurricane Donna in 1960.

It should be noted…another high tide Tuesday morning will feature additional coastal flooding, particularly along southern Long Island, New York Harbor, the Jersey shore, the Delmarva Peninsula, and southern New England, as southerly winds continue to keep water levels higher than normal. Current indications suggest the flooding will not be as severe as it was Monday night.

The East Coast and North East braces for Hurricane Sandy. It is being called the storm of the century, the Perfect Storm, Part II. Some areas are going to get huge wave surges, some massive amounts of rain, other 100 mile an hours gusts of wind and other areas snow accumulations in the feet. Some 50 million people are supposed to be affected by Sandy and 10′s of thousands of people have been evacuated.

Tens of thousands of residents were ordered to evacuate coastal areas Sunday as big cities and small towns across the eastern U.S. buttoned up against the onslaught of a superstorm threatening some 50 million people in the most heavily populated corridor in the nation.

Winds of 25 to 45 mph with gusts of 65+ mph along the immediate coast will continue. A storm surge of 4 to 6 feet above ground level is expected in eastern North Carolina if peak surge occurs at high tide. Bands of heavy rain on the outer periphery of the circulation will continue to wrap into the eastern North Carolina. Hatteras, N.C., reported 5.29 inches of rain as of 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Millions prepare for Hurricane Sandy – President declares state of emergency for New York and Massachusetts.

Evacuations ahead of storm and the transit systems close on NYC.

As Hurricane Sandy stayed on track to barrel the East Coast, states of emergency were declared from North Carolina to Connecticut, with residents being evacuated, schools and transit systems shut and food and supplies flying off store shelves in a sure sign people were preparing for the worst.

Sandy was at Category 1 strength, packing 75 mph winds, about 270 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, N.C., and moving northeast at 14 mph as of 2 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. It was about 575 miles south of New York City.

The Hurricane is on path to meet a winter storm and a cold front, plus high tides from a full moon, and experts said the rare hybrid storm that results could cause havoc through 800 miles from the East Coast to the Great Lakes.

Sorry, Barack Obama is not a President, he is not a Commander in Chief, he is an empty suit, elected on the false promise of “Hope & Change” and would rather campaign and fund raise as opposed to doing his job. It has been said over and over that Barack Obama does not lead, he follows. Obama, the President of the United States leads from behind.During this weeks RNC Convention, former Secretary of State Condi Rice said in a tremendous speech, “we cannot lead from behind”. Guess who she was referring to?

And I know too that there is weariness – a sense that we have carried these burdens long enough. But if we are not inspired to lead again, one of two things will happen – no one will lead and that will foster chaos — or others who do not share our values will fill the vacuum. My fellow Americans, we do not have a choice. We cannot be reluctant to lead – and one cannot lead from behind.

Yesterday, we reported that following the Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney, the GOP Presidential nominee, adjusted his campaign schedule and decided to tour Louisiana and the Hurricane Isaac storm damaged areas and meet with the affected people. Romney said, “I’m here to learn and obviously to draw some attention to what’s going on here”. Romney would do this along side Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. So it begs the question, where is Obama? Many on the LEFT whined and complained that the GOP should cancel their convention in Tampa, FL because of Hurricane Isaac. Instead, the GOP delayed the convention by an day and managed to push 4 days of activities into 3. What did Obama do? Well he continued to campaign as usual. The GOP convention was three years in the planning, Obama’s campaigning and fundraising, not so much. Barack Obama was business as usual and went to his campaign stops, but  Obama Says He Discussed Hurricane Isaac by Phone—From Plane. That’s mighty big of you. This coming from the “Hypocrite in Chief who criticized GWB for not visiting fast enough the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina hit.

Some one needs to explain to me, better yet explain to the affected Hurricane Isaac individuals of the Gulf Coast, how in the hell the President of the United States did not visit the devastated areas of Louisiana before the GOP nominee? Mitt Romney changes his schedule to show his concern and visit with those who were affected by Isaac before Obama? Exactly which one is the President? We all know who should and will be President, but this is disgraceful.Talk about your Obama, leading from behind.

GOP Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney Heads to Louisiana to Tour Hurricane Isaac Storm Damage

Hmm, Romney visits Gulf Coast areas affected by Hurricane Isaac … where is Barack Obama?

Mitt Romney, fresh off a successful Republican National Convention and officially receiving the GOP nomination for President, is off to New Orleans and Louisiana to tour areas affected by Hurricane Isaac. Romney will meet up with Governor Bobby Jindal, who did not attend the RNC convention so to take care of matters in Louisiana. Romney will be altering his campaign plans and not go to Virgina as previously planned following this mornings post-convention rally this morning in Lakeland, FL with his VP choice Paul Ryan. The GOP VP will go solo to Virginia later today.

Mitt Romney will head to the New Orleans area today to tour areas affected by Hurricane Isaac.

Romney and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will meet with first responders.

Rather amazing that Romney finds the time to take away from his campaign to visit the areas affected by Hurricane Isaac. Isn’t this President Obama’s job? Then again, who is the candidate that actually acts and conducts them self is a Presidential manner?
