Conyers (D-MI), ABC’s Cokie Roberts makes a startling admission that “every female in the press corps knew” to avoid being in an elevator with Rep. John Conyers (D-MI). Imagine that. So guess who also knew about Conyes’ inappropriate conduct? That would be Nancy Pelosi. Robert’s stated on ABC ‘This Week,’ “Don’t get in the elevator with him, you know, and the whole every female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him. Now people are saying it out loud. And I think that does make a difference.”

Everybody knew about his conduct for years and said nothing. The liberal MSM, Democrats, nobody, not even House Republicans. Why is that? is the cesspool in Washington DC any different than Hollywood? And now we have politicians policing their own when they had done nothing for years but look the other way. Its time for these people to be thrown out of office. These are serial offenders and because of their power, they are untouchable. This is just yet another reason for term limits. But instead of throwing Conyers out of office or he doing the right thing by resigning, we have the likes of Pelosi defending him and calling him an icon. Speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” Cokie Roberts made a startling admission: “every female in the press corps knew” to avoid being in an elevator with Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), and has apparently known about this “for years.” Conyers has been accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment and has stepped down from the House Judiciary Committee.

Despite the allegations against him, major players in the Democratic Party have defended Conyers and will not say that he should resign. Pelosi even referred to the embattled congressman as an “icon.”

Roberts was discussing the current culture on Capitol Hill with Martha Raddatz and Anna Palmer. Roberts said that while this has been the status quo for decades, she believes that things could change now that people are coming public with their experiences.

“The fact that people are willing to be public can change things. I mean, we all talked about for years,” said Roberts.

Further, Roberts says that it “does make a difference” now that women are not being shy about this kind of misconduct. Roberts implied that Conyers’ predatory behavior was an open secret among the press corps.

“Don’t get in the elevator with him, you know, and the whole every female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him,” said Roberts. She continued, “Now people are saying it out loud. And I think that does make a difference.”

This is the party that was defending women, eh?

Many, including Republicans and the NRA believe that bump stocks, the device that is used to change a semi-automatic gun into an automatic fire one, believe that regulation is needed. However, many on the Right are concerned that any regulation on the Second Amendment is a slippery slope. And why shouldn’t they be, as Democrat House Minority Leader came out and said, “They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so.” UNREAL. Is it so difficult for Democrats to be honest brokers? It looks that way. What a sad state of affairs when we just can’t come together and do the right thing. But with people like Pelosi and her ilk, they are only after the end of the Second Amendment.

Hmm, so what must the MSM think of this bipartisan deal? As reported at Bloomberg, President Donald Trump sided with Democrats on adding a three-month extension of the U.S. debt limit and government spending to a hurricane-relief bill. Republicans Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan  wanted a longer debt extension that would push the time limit past the midterm elections. How brave of you. If you think this is a mini “FU” to McConnell and Ryan for not passing the President’s agenda, you would be correct. If you think this is a shot across the political bow of McConnell and Ryan to get their act together and start governing as if they were in the majority, you would be correct again. What will the liberal MSM think of such a bipartisan deal? However, a note to Republicans and conservatives, don’t think that this is a complete pivot of the Trump presidency, this all part of the art of the deal. Personally, I think its brilliant. Trump just made establishment Republicans like McConnell and Ryan irrelevant. Trump just showed the LEFT that despise him that he can be bipartisan. Trump just put the MSM in a quandary as to how they can report negative Trump stories 24/7.

To my fellow conservatives don’t let your heart be troubled. Think long term. What really was done here that is being billed as the bipartisan bill of the century? Trump kicked the debt limit fix down the road that will have to be dealt with again and he funded Hurricane Harvey aid that was going to be passed anyhow. And? In the process he showed McConnell and Paul Rino who is boss, he demonstrated his ability to make deals and get the job down. However, don’t think that Trump will not use this to his advantage against establishment Republicans, Democrats and the MSM in the future.

President Donald Trump sided with Democrats on adding a three-month extension of the U.S. debt limit and government spending to a hurricane-relief bill over the arguments of fellow Republicans, who pressed for a longer debt extension.

Senate Republicans released a new version of a Harvey aid bill late Wednesday that includes the debt ceiling extension and would fund the government through Dec. 8. It also nearly doubles the total disaster funding to $15.25 billion from what the House passed earlier in the day. The additional funding would go toward the Community Development Block Grant program to address housing needs in disaster zones.

Trump, after meeting with congressional leaders Wednesday at the White House, told reporters on Air Force One that the deal with Democrats would be “very good.”

“We agreed to a three-month extension on debt ceiling, which they consider to be sacred — very important — always we’ll agree on debt ceiling automatically because of the importance of it,” the president said.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters he’ll add the spending and debt-limit extensions to the Hurricane Harvey relief package passed by the House earlier in the day. He said he will support the measure.

“The president agreed with Senator Schumer and Congresswoman Pelosi to do a three-month CR and debt ceiling until December,” said McConnell, a Kentucky Republican. “His feeling was that we needed to come together to not create a picture of divisiveness at a time of genuine national crisis.” CR is shorthand for a stopgap government spending bill.

Just hours earlier, House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin — who was in the meeting with Trump — had told reporters the Democratic proposal was “unworkable” and “ridiculous.”

Well how about this bit of irony. House Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s father helped dedicate statues of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and “Stonewall” Jackson in Baltimore, Maryland in 1948. According to reports, Pelosi’s father, the late Thomas D’Alesandro Jr., the then mayor of Baltimore, spoke out on May 2, 1948 in praise and honored Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. My how the times have changed. So why isn’t Pelosi denouncing her father? The very statues that Pelosi, Democrats and the LEFT look to tear down, are the very one’s her father helped create. Where is her outrage? Talk about the height of hypocrisy. Talk about your inconsistent truths. Pelosi’s father said during the dedication, “Today with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions.” Um, what “scared institutions” is he referring to?

We are still waiting for Pelosi to condemn and admonish her father. Still waiting. When will Pelosi be resigning from office due to her father’s actions? I mean dedicating statutes to the very slave holders and sons of the Confederacy that the LEFT today has lost their collective minds over. To follow their liberal logic, Pelosi should be resigning from office. BTW Nancy, dad would be so proud of you.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has ramped up calls to remove “reprehensible” Confederate statues from the halls of Congress — but left unsaid in her public denunciations is that her father helped dedicate such a statue decades ago while mayor of Baltimore.

It was May 2, 1948, when, according to a Baltimore Sun article from that day, “3,000” looked on as then-Governor William Preston Lane Jr. and Pelosi’s father, the late Thomas D’Alesandro Jr., spoke at the dedication of a monument to honor Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.

The article said Lane delivered a speech, and Mayor D’Alesandro “accepted” the memorial.

“Today, with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions,” D’Alesandro said in his dedication. “We must remain steadfast in our determination to preserve freedom, not only for ourselves, but for the other liberty-loving nations who are striving to preserve their national unity as free nations.”

He added: “In these days of uncertainty and turmoil, Americans must emulate Jackson’s example and stand like a stone wall against aggression in any form that would seek to destroy the liberty of the world.”

The above provides a history lesson to the millennials of today. The Democrat party was the party party of slavery, segregation and Jim Crow. Maybe this is why the LEFT wants to tear down history, so that no one knows what their really history was all about.

The Baltimore Sun: Lee-Jackson monument was welcomed in Baltimore.

I think it is important for The Baltimore Sun to remind its readers on how it reported the official dedication of the Lee/Jackson Monument on May 2, 1948. A crowd of 3,000 came to the Wyman Park dedication to lots of pomp and fanfare. I believe what was said then must be taken into historical context. The dedication words were spoken from the heart by two of Maryland’s most revered politicians during the height of Jim Crow here in Charm City and six years before the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court ruling.

Here is what Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., then mayor of Baltimore, and father of House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi said at the dedication, accepting the statue as the official representative of Baltimore:

“World Wars I and II found the North and South fighting for a common cause, and the generalship and military science displayed by these two great men in the War between the States lived on and were applied in the military plans of our nation in Europe and the Pacific areas.

“Today with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions.

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) Says In Some Parts of the Country, Nancy Pelosi Is More Toxic Than Donald Trump (VIDEO)

WHEN YOU ARE RIGHT, YOU ARE RIGHT, DEMOCRATS ARE MORE TOXIC THAN TRUMP …

Following the disastrous special election in Georgia this past week, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) openly criticized Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and said it was time his party did some soul-searching to figure out what the problem was. One problem is Nancy Pelosi and that in many areas of the country, she is more toxic than President Donald Trump. Ryan went on to say that Pelosi has become a focal point for the GOP to run against.

“The brand is just bad,” Ryan said. “I don’t think people in the beltway are realizing just how toxic the Democratic Party brand is in so many parts of the country.”

Lemon asked Ryan if he believed Pelosi was more toxic than Donald Trump.

“The honest answer is in some areas of the country — yes, she is,” Ryan said. ” I think that in certain areas, like in some of these special election districts, it doesn’t benefit our candidates to be tied to her. “

However, I have to disagree with Rep. Ryan’s overall premise. He thinks that Nancy Pelosi is the over-reaching problem. This is not true. Pelosi is a symptom of the problem. not the actual issue. The real issue is what the Democrat party has become. The Democrat party is far-LEFT, nearly half wanted a socialist like Bernie Sanders, not a Democrat, a self-proclaimed socialist to be their candidate. Had it not been for a rigged Democrat primary with “super delegates” pushing Hillary over the finish line, Sanders could have won. This is how far left the party has lurched. This is the problem with the party, they are toxic to the very blue collar workers that make up the electorate in once blue states like West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin. The Democrats are no longer the party of the working class. They have not been for many years.  The Democrat party has become the party of the West coast/East coast elites, the party of Hollywood, the party of LGBTQ, the party of Black Lives Matters. The Democrat party is no longer the party of JFK or even Bill Clinton. Not even close.
