Senator Joe Lieberman (CT-I) Says on “Fox News Sunday” US Needs a National Commission to Review all Factors that Play into Mass Murder Shootings

America, you you people actually understand why the Founding Fathers provided you Liberties and protections from the government?

This morning on FOX News Sunday, out-going Senator Joe Lieberman (CT-I) called for a national commission to be created to scrutinize all factors that go into mass murder shootings. Lieberman is calling for more than just looking at gun control and a ban on assault weapons. He is asking for a greater review than just guns, he wants a review of the mental health system and the role that violent video games and movies might play in shootings. However, that is not what Democrats are referring to … they strictly want to go after their lazy and liberal agenda of going after assault rifles.  So what happens when the next mass shooting is done with multiple hand guns or a bomb?

The proposals are among the first to come from Congress in the wake of Friday’s school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, a Connecticut independent, tells “Fox News Sunday” that a national commission could be used to scrutinize the nation’s gun laws, mental health system and the role that violent video games and movies might play in shootings.

I would say this … do not ever make a rash and knew-jerk reaction decision based on a tragic event. We take the same approach in our personal lives. Don’t think for one second that the liberals in Congress want all the guns. You give these big-government and intrusive progressives an inch and they will take everything.

Final question … so say there is an assault weapons ban and then we have another school shooting where only hand guns are used. You have now provided the precedent for the government to take away the hand guns as well.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

NFL Will Observe a Moment of Silence at Games in Wake of Sandy Hook Elementary School Shootings … NY Giants Will Wear Initials S.H.E.S on Helmets

NFL to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shootings …

In the wake of the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that left 27 dead, including 20 school children, the NFL will observe a moment of silence at their home games prior the the American National Anthem in tribute to the lives lost in Newtown, CT. It is most certain that there will not be a dry eye in the house during that silence.  The NY Giant players will wear the initials S.H.E.S. (Sandy Hook Elementary School) on their helmets in their game against the Atlanta Falcons.

All across America, its citizens have been shocked and horrified by the mass murder shootings in the small town of Newtown, CT. Likewise, across the NFL football stadiums on Sunday, fans in the stands and watching at home will pause for a moment of silence and prayer to reflect on the senseless murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Nancy Lanza, Murdered Mother of Sandy Hook Elementary School Gunman Adam Lanza … Not a Teacher or Associated with School?

Was Nancy Lanza a teacher at the Sandy Hook Elementary school?

Hmm, with the fog of a horrific story like the shooting deaths of 20 elementary school children from the ages of 5 to 10 and six other adults, it is some what understandably that there might be some info got wrong. However, the following fact is kind of an important one and has not yet been addressed or brought up during this mornings police press conference, was Nancy Lanza a teacher, a substitute or associated with Sandy Hook Elementary School?

A former school board official in Newtown called into question earlier reports that Nancy Lanza had been connected to Sandy Hook Elementary School, possibly as part of the teaching staff.

“No one has heard of her,” said Lillian Bittman, who served on the local school board until 2011. “Teachers don’t know her.”

So many news outlets have reported and continue to report that the murdered mother of crazed gunman Adam Lanza was a teacher at the school. However, the above report contradicts that account. TPM has a good review of the many accounts of whether or not she was involved with the school? The Newtown School District website does not list Lanza as a teacher or administrator in the district school system.

Later Update #5: Here we seem to be getting a bit more of a handle on the origins of this. According to the AP, the origin of Lanza’s alleged tie to the school seems tenuous …

A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said investigators believe Lanza attended the school several years ago but appeared to have no recent connection to the place.

At least one parent said Lanza’s mother was a substitute teacher there. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the law enforcement official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school.

UPDATE I: Adam P. Lanza, obscure in life, infamous in death.

UPDATE II: I had just heard it reported again on FOX News TV, it is being confirmed that Nancy Lanza, the deceased mother of shooter Adam Lanza, was not affiliated or working with the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

UPDATE III: Good grief, the mom was not a teacher or affiliated with the elementary school, so that means that this nut just liked to gun down little kids? Oh dear God.
