That’s how much time will pass before the prime suspect in the disappearance of American Natalee Holloway faces the American justice system.

Peru has agreed to extradite Joran van der Sloot to the United States, but only after he finishes serving a 28-year murder sentence, the Peruvian news agency Andina reported. The Peruvian court system sentenced him in 2012.

In the United States he’s been indicted on federal charges of extortion and wire fraud. American authorities accuse him of extorting money from Holloway’s mother by offering bogus information about her daughter’s disappearance.

After Nearly 25 Years, 66 Year Old David Zimmer Arrested for the 1989 Murder of His Estranged Wife Cathy Zimmer … His Brother Robert Zimmer, Also Arrested

It’s the reason why there is no statute of limitations on murder … After nearly 25 years, two brothers arrested in the 1989 murder of Cathy Zimmer.

On March 8, 1989, 38 year old Cathy Zimmer and mother of two went missing from San Jose State University. Forty-eight hours later on March 10 Cathy Zimmer’s body was found in the trunk of her vehicle wrapped in a distinct looking, handmade, colorful quilt. Her car was parked at the San Jose airport and she had been strangled. For nearly 25 years there were no suspects and the case was cold.

However, now after all this time two individuals have been arrested for the 1989 murder. Brothers, David and Robert Zimmer have been arrested in connection with the strangulation murder of Cathy Zimmer. 66 year old David Zimmer was the estranged husband of Cathy Zimmer. David Zimmer is expected to be arraigned early next week, . 69-year-old Santa Clara resident Robert Zimmer has been arraigned and is being held without bail.

Nearly 25 years after a Northern California woman was found strangled to death under a quilt in her car, authorities on Friday announced the arrest of her husband and his brother on murder charges.

The arrests came just weeks after prosecutors in Santa Clara County released new details in hopes of finally solving the case, including photos of the large, colorful quilt that covered Cathy Zimmer’s body when she was found March 10, 1989.

David Zimmer, 66, of Half Moon Bay, was arrested Friday in the slaying of his estranged wife. Cathy Zimmer’s body was found wrapped in a patchwork quilt in the backseat of her Chrysler New Yorker in a parking lot at San Jose International Airport in 1989, the Santa Clara County district attorney’s office said.

Authorities arrest husband and his brother in 1989 murder of Cathy Zimmer.

The breakthrough came just weeks after Santa Clara County prosecutors revealed the existence of the colorful patchwork quilt for the first time, hoping somebody would recognize it and lead them to whoever strangled the 38-year-old mother of two.

Instead, it appears DNA evidence found on an “intimate area” of Cathy Zimmer’s clothing helped lead investigators to her brother-in-law Robert Zimmer, 69, of Santa Clara. He was arrested last week and is being held without bail on a murder charge, according to a brief court document. His next court date is April 18, prosecutors said.

David Zimmer profited financially from his wife’s death, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Within a month of her slaying, he had sold their home for more than $225,000 and collected proceeds from two life insurance policies totaling $183,000, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

But citing an ongoing investigation, prosecutor Ted Kajani declined to provide many other details of how the cold-case unit he runs solved the case almost 25 years to the day of Zimmer’s death.

33 Year Old Karla Villagra-Garzon Missing Since 2/24/14 in Elizabeth, NJ (Update: Karla Villagra-Garzon Found Dead, Husband Charged With Murder)

33 year old Karla Villagra-Garzon has been missing since February 24, 2014 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. According to her husband, Abayuba Garzon, told police that his wife said she was going to the Walgreens on Newark Avenue to get medicine for their 2 year old daughter at about 10:30 p.m. The Garzon’s home is on the 800 block of East Jersey Street, she walked to the store at 600 Newark Avenue. However, Karla Villagra-Garzon never made it to the store, according to surveillance video. Her husband reported her missing the following morning to police and has been cooperating in the investigation.

Hmm, last person to see Karla Villagra-Garzon wa the husband, who would let his 33 year old wife walk to a drug store at 10:30 pm in Elizabeth, NJ and the cameras at the Walgreens never caught her on camera? One might want to ask when was the last time she was seen by anyone else not named Abayuba Garzon.

UPDATE I: Missing Elizabeth, N.J. Mom Karla Villagra-Garzon Found Dead Husband Charged With Murder.

The body of  Karla Villagra-Garzon was discovered inside a vacant brick building in Chatham Township Tuesday night. As I speculated above, the story of missing 33 year old Karla Villagra-Garzon never made much sense the way described by her husband, Abayuba Garzon. No man in his right mind would allow their 33 year old wife to walk to a drug store at 10:30 pm in Elizabeth, NJ to get medicine for their child. Abayuba Garzon then did not report her missing until the next morning. Sorry, but this one was a no-brainer and pointed to the husband from the outset. As previously stated, “One might want to ask when was the last time she was seen by anyone else not named Abayuba Garzon.” Why? Because he was the one who committed the crime.

A mother from Elizabeth, N.J. has been found dead more than three weeks after she was reported missing, and her husband has been charged with her murder.

Karla Villagra-Garzon, 32, was found by police late Tuesday in a vacant home on Southern Boulevard in Chatham Township, Morris County – about 20 miles from Elizabeth, Union County prosecutors said.

Rivas has been charged with first-degree murder and other offenses in Garzon’s death, prosecutors said. He was ordered held on $2 million bond by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Joseph P. Donohue.

Bi-Partisan Senate Vote Rejects Obama Nominee, Cop-Killer Atty. Debo Adegbile, to Lead the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division

A stinging bi-partisan vote defeat for Barack Obama … Sorry, but actions have consequences.

In a 47 to 52 vote in the US Senate, Republicans were joined by seven Democrats voting to continue a filibuster of Debo Adegbile’s nomination for the influential post, to lead the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.Yes, the same Debo Adegbile, who represented cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was found guilty in 1981 of killing police officer Daniel Faulkner and turned the case into a racially-charged political cause-celeb, and, in doing so, went far beyond his duties as a lawyer to zealously represent his client.

As Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) stated, Those Who Advocate For Cop Killers Aren’t Suited For Leadership at DOJ.

Obama_copkiller

But not too much for Barack Obama to nominate …

Just what we did not need in the Civil Rights department enforcing the nation’s anti-discrimination laws, a lawyer as Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Pat Toomey led the charge against Adegbile’s nomination,“Under Mr. Adegbile’s oversight, LDF lawyers promoted the pernicious myth that Abu-Jamal was an innocent man, that he was framed because of his race.” Unproven allegations of racism reversed a cop-killers sentence.  So I guess Barack Obama will call the following Democratic Senators racists and playing Washington politics, Heidi Heitkamp (ND), Joe Manchin (WV), Mark Pryor (AR), Joe Donnelly (IN), John Walsh (MT), Chris Coons (DE) and Bob Casey Jr. (PA), who voted with Republicans to block the nomination of Adegbile.

The Senate rejected President Obama’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division on Wednesday in a stunning 47-52 vote in which seven Democrats abandoned their leadership.

The vote was all the more remarkable for the five Democrats in tough reelection races this year who voted in vain to move Debo Adegbile’s nomination forward.

Their votes now become ammunition for Senate Republicans, who argued Adegbile was unfit to serve because of his legal work in support of Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was convicted of killing Philadelphia

police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981.

The vote was a stinging defeat for the White House that showed President Obama is politically out of step with some centrist Democrats heading into the midterm elections.

Obama_Laughing3

“He represents the best of the legal profession,” and if you like your cop-killing lawyer, you can keep him …

The response from the community agitator … Barack Obama defended his disgusting pick to head up the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department. Sorry Mr. President, this sick pick to further politicize the Justice Dept. and push it further left has failed. Even Democrats could not back your pick. Wow, if this is the best of the legal profession, the profession just sunk even lower.

Obama labeled the vote a “travesty” based on “wildly unfair” character attacks.

“Mr. Adegbile’s qualifications are impeccable. He represents the best of the legal profession, with wide-ranging experience, and the deep respect of those with whom he has worked,” Obama said. “As a lawyer, Mr. Adegbile has played by the rules. And now, Washington politics have used the rules against him.”

To our shameful, reprehensible president who has hit a new low in trying to tear apart America, The Lonely Conservative sadly says, “Danny Faulkner is not available for comment.”
